Writing you from Leonard, Michigan. Started a small Printing company in MI 20 years ago, with my husband-we're both 45 & have been married since 1988. The economy hit us hard a few years back-we pushed on, lived with hope & worked hard-we now have found ourselves in a "mortgage modification hell" with Bank of America.

Long story short-we entered into the HAMP program through Bank of America to stay current on our mortgage with a lower payment-they informed us we missed a payment, which we did not, after weeks of phone calls trying to get it sorted out, we were told it was a computer error & 2 of the numbers in our payment were transcribed, making it look like we made an incorrect payment, but by proof of the payment, we did not, it was simply a entry error. But they refuse to let us stay in the program & have shut down all communication with us. They are going to pursue our property. I have found through research i have no protection against this & it is being done to many in the US.

When we bought this house on Donna Mae Lane, it had sat abandoned for 2 years. We stripped it & did all of the work ourselves over a period of 2 years. We planned on living here forever-it's safe & beautiful. We appreciate the stunning beauty of this area-we came from living next to 696-a lot of crime & drugs going on. It's a sanctuary for both of us away from the real world.

To think that this can be taken away from us & we have no one to turn to for help, no recourse whatsoever-that we can be outright "ignored" & have what we worked so hard for taken just from us...it is very hard to comprehend.

If you were to find that you could help us in some way, we would be willing to work it off in any way deemed necessary. I don't like to ask for money, & i would never ask for it & not expect to pay it back fully somehow. Even if you only had information that would help us to find someone who could help us, we would greatly appreciate it.

Well just a word to say thanks for keeping ROCK alive! Have not listened to any new music in a long while. Heard your song Born Free in a pub just the other day and loved it! Amazed that this is new, I am an old rocker of the 70's. Keep up the Great Music. FYI own three of your albums now. Do you have any DVD's of concerts would love to have them if you do. I guess people who classify this music as country need to look at the name KID ROCK! Thanks again and please keep it ROCKIN.

DETROIT — The federal government now says a 101-year-old Detroit woman it promised could move back into her foreclosed home four months ago can't return because the building's unsanitary and unsafe.
Texana Hollis was evicted Sept. 12 and her belongings placed outside after her 65-year-old son failed to pay property taxes linked to a reverse mortgage, The Detroit News reported Sunday. Two days later, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development said she could return.
