    After performing two shows for our military in California myself and the band headed to Telluride, CO for a skiing vacation. I spent sometime one morning there with Mrs. Brimhall's second grade class. I talked and showed them pictures of my travels overseas to visit and entertain our troops as well as play a few quick songs for them. They sang "jingle bell rock" for me and each wrote a short paragraph of what it means to be "Born Free". Was a very cool and fun experience!! Thanks to everyone in Telluride for your hospitality and if anyone ever has the chance to visit, please do! Telluride is absolutely beautiful, great skiing, very laid back, nice people and LOW KEY!! Awe, very cool! What a great way to spend the afternoon! Kids are so fun, they say the craziest things and are brutally honest. Gotta love that and you for taking the time out of your day to go hang with them. When those little kids grow up they will remember that some famous dude named Kid Rock came to school and hung out with them. They may not be huge fans now but the lasting impression will make it's mark years from now when they are older. Good for you and them. Merry Christmas to you and your family!

I know 1 little boy at that school who loved meeting you! His name is Ryder, Jaden's boy. Thanks for challenging them and asking them to write what it means to be "born free". Thanks for taking the time out of your busy schedule to instill this in our youth. God Bless of Troops!

This is so cool. LOVE IT! I just want to also say, I loved the words Kevin Costner had to say about you keeping it REAL on CMA. Also caught another show you did, where you had to drive a mini car to beat other celebrity times, you, with your tongue sticking out :p.. gotta say, that was a classic KR!!

I love Mom's idea about the ski trip! I love Colorado skiing. I can't wait to hit the slopes this year and only have a little over a week until I'm cleared to tear it up. So nice to see someone who gives back, especially during the busiest time of the year. Merry Christmas and rock on!
