I loved seeing this again and how I treasure seeing young Junior on your shoulders and holding your hand. Happy Father’s Day, Mr. Ritchie!!! You are a good man and father, through and through. My soul is overwhelmed with joy you choose daily to keep a walkin’ because your artistry brings such joy to His children for “…the sheer poetry of your words you don’t mince.” He hears your soul’s cries and His heart and mine break each time a heart scar is hurled at you, like whatever it was that hit you on stage. My body moved back in real time reaction…feeling for you (I am crying right now; my heart bleeds for you) and remembering things hurled at me. “The anguish of my soul doesn’t lie. See the truth of me in the love light of my eyes.” My friend needed some beverages so I just had my first motorcycle ride since high school!!! I needed a refresher and he was patient with me as I became comfortable feeling safe in my new self, and trusting him and his skills and expertise. For some reason he thought I would not support him with my friendship today; however, I reminded him that in the 7+ years of working through days like today, I have never failed in my commitment of our friendship, even on his darkest days.
