Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s The Joint played host to Kid Rock, Thursday night and the sold-out audience was not disappointed.

Robert James "Bob" Ritchie or Kid Rock as he has became known burst upon the scene back in the early 1990’s thanks to MTV’s Spring Break coverage and has not slowed down. Back then it was much more a hip-hop/rock infused sound that was all the rage. Since then Kid has found a way to keep himself current and not die away as other musical trends have throughout his 20 plus years in the industry.

His music, which now crosses genre styles, doesn’t leave anyone out or untouched. From rap to hip-hop, rock to country and even the occasional ballad he has an appeal to young and old. You could see 20-somethings milling around the spectacular venue, as well as, a few blue-haired beauties all there to get a glimpse and give listen to the current outlaw heir.

Starting the show out with “Devil without a Cause” and allowing for lyric’s via recorded audio from his late friend and partner Joe C, accompanied by an over-sized banner featuring the pint sized rapper, this lead to added effect and sent the already party atmosphere to a higher level.

I heard from a friend you were great in Tulsa!!! We had to see you again in Thackerville due to our work schedules. You were AWESOME there also!!!! Now, my complaint. We also had rooms on the 12th floor on were trying to get to the elevator to go back down to the casino when we were rudely pushed back into our rooms and held there. I suppose until they got you safely to your room. SERIO USLY Bobby? You felt threatened by 3 nearly 50y/o women????????? That is ridiculous, We paid 200 bucks a piece to see your concert, buy all your cd's,join your fan club and then YOU dis us??? We felt disrespected by you!!! We might have looked had we seen you but, would never approach you. Not a good move on your part. I guess we are the real LOWLIFE'S??????

Now that's a headline! When I worked for a newspaper, one of our headlines was about Christ the King Church's annual party. The headline read: Christ the King to host New Year's Bash We in the newsroom laughed our heads off. Second coming? So, being a smart a** reporter, I sent it to Leno who used it for his "headline" bit.

Heard us some Kid at Winstar 3rd! Ahhh! Awesome concert. Wish I would have known about meet and greet. It would have made mine and my husbands night but then again , the concert w good for us. It felt good to me and love to hear dear lil ole Joe C. Soreness and hangover worth it as me and mine danced all night. Feeling right, outasite! Wonderful night. Wished we could have stayed for second show. Another day another dollar, cost me 455 to hear him holla. Not including trip and lodging, Challenger RT , Dodge keep dodging. Fish like drinking beer, and t shirts / plate buying, oh and who do I hear? Pimping, country star , rapp, blues, pop , rocking. It's Kid Rocks voice knock, knock, knocking. Knocking at Texas back door, it's Bobby Oklahoma torn, Detroit born, just a hint of porn. Show now passed so Kid tell Oklahoma to kiss Texas ass. Head for Fort Worth and don't look back, get the show on the road and don't talk no smack. Its Kid that Fort Worth lacks. We need it back to back. Give us damn heart attacks! See ya again soon from one of Cadillac poon!
