My son Brandon 18 years old, is recovering from Blood Cancer, have you ever heard of A plastic anemia? rear blood disorder where the Red white and platelets disappear, His older brother gave him his bone marrow. there was only a 25% chance that they would match. The Doctors were up front with us from the start said he had a 50% chance he could die. he had the transplant in July and is doing good, but it could return any time in his life. He is a daddy to a beautiful daughter Brooklyn he named her after his sister who past away on January 17th 2010. My boys found my daughter unconscious at home. she left behind a son. She was the best kid ever. She put herself through Collage To be a special ED. Teacher.Got her B.A. and was ready to make a better life for herself.well sorry about the sob story. I almost lost two out of three of my kids in the sane year. Just wanted to let you know how you kept me from losing my mind this summer. THANK YOU
You stand for so many causes. What else is there to say about Cancer but "F*ck Cancer" Plain & Simpley Point Blank well said. Lost my wonderful Mother to it. You ROCK my World & the reason you are so loved by so many people is because you are so REAL. Just want to say thanks. Oh one more thing, "Thanks for sticking with your hometown folks 100%." :)
My husband passed away on September 26th 2010 of cancer. He made a "bucket list" & shaking Kid Rocks hand was his number 1 thing. We knew deep down it probably wouldn't happen but I so enjoyed trying my best to make it happen for him. We love Kid Rock now & always all of the songs you sing touch someone or even everyone who listens, cause they do me & did my husband...
So I too say "FUCK CANCER"!!!!!!
Love you for wearing the shirt!!! I had that, kick in the gut, discussion with my surgeon yesterday, yes, cancer sucks especially if you are hearing it about yourself. After the inital shock wears off you say to yourself, " What the Fuck, did I hear him right????" I am getting one of those shirts for every day of the week! I'm not letting it ruin my birthday in February though.
would love to wear the shirt to work as a ER nurse, but don't think that would go over well. cancer sucks, especially for us who have been through it with loved ones. the shirt works for you...good job
where can i get a shirt like that??? I just lost my mom to her 5 year battle with lung cancer, and currently have a sister who doesnt have much time left in her fight of 1 year. This is a battle we all have to FIGHT.
My 85 year old mother was just recently diagnosed with noncurable lung cancer. She is a fighter so hopefully we will have her around a little longer. Her one big dream, right now is to meet Kid Rock! She thinks he is one of the most awesome, down to earth people that she has ever seen. She said that she would like to have her picture taken with him and give him a big hug.
I lost my grandmother to cancer three years ago the worst thing ever, to watch it take her spirit away, she was a strong woman right up to the end. I held her hand as she went. I miss her sooo much.
Oh SWEET! Thanks for the link! I want one of those shirts so bad. When I go to Mikes grave on the one year anniversary I want to be wearing it. Love the smiles!! This is a really cute pic!
Sometimes even the most curable cancers aren't curable. Mike had a soft tissue sarcoma, it started in his right shoulder neck area. They sent him home to die, he participated in a research study, after a 15 hour amputation of his shoulder and right arm he started radiation. He did amazing, I cried rivers but he never saw them, he got sick a few months later they found more tumors in his windpipe. He died 19 days after his 36th birthday on 1-15-10. In memory of an amazing man and friend I'll be sending this link around. Thanks Bob you rock!!
