Hello Kid Rock! I wanted to touch base with you because I have been diagnosed with terminal cancer and have a life expectancy of two years. I spent 35 days in Bay Regional Medical Center and after surviving 2 life threatening operations I wanted to say what an inspiration your songs have meant in my life. My family including my fiance Annette have been such an inspiration to me as well as all the people that have taken care of me throughout this new journey. Your song Born Free has carried me through some very difficult times as well as many of the other wonderful songs you have sung that have inspired me beyond belief. I grew up in Akron Michigan as well as Lupton and have spent many a glorious Michigan evening listening to your songs on my swing in the back yard of my West Branch Townhouse. I have lost my job and my income as well as sometimes my mind but your songs always bring me back to the fight and survival mode. If you ever have a chance to stop by West Branch Michigan please stop by and enjoy a barbecue and some excellent Kid Rock songs with me and my family. That would mean the world to me. You can e-mail me at birddog 6430@yahoo.com or call me at 989 915-9298 you don't know how much this would mean to me . Peace and God Bless Rock On ! Can't wait to here more amazing songs from an amazing Artist.

I need to thank you for inspiration. The past 2 weeks has completely changed my life. I have a small cleaning business (like just me), a dear friend called and asked if I could come a vacuum her home. She just had her 5th and last round of chemo. When I got there I wasn't prepared for her health condition. Man, what a moment to realize what I had just walked into. I couldn't leave without making sure I did everything I could to get the house cleaned up so she didn't have to worry about it. She could hardly stand...clean?? She rested...sat in the sun...the sense of relief and gratitude was all too much for me. All I did was clean. Since that day 2 weeks ago...I have this HUGE pulling in me to HAVE to do something...there's so many folks in my valley, alone and going through cancer and hospice that need help. My son and I have been jamming your CD for months and all of a sudden the words have taken on a whole new meaning for me. Can't get through 'Care' without cryin'. I want you to know you've inspired me in such a way that the life I was just living doesn't exist anymore. I am setting up a 501 c 3 non-profit under my business, SPANKY'S and GUS. Offering a service called 'Breath of Life'. Free of charge cleaning for cancer and hospice patients in my valley while they are in the mist of chemo. It's a wild thing this life. I'm struggling myself to keep my son and I afloat, like alot of us are these days. Doing this simple act seems effortless. I don't ever remember having this urge, fight, calling how ever you want to say it, in my life. It IS the least that I can do is care. And thank you for showing me the way! Sandra

Kid Rock love your work. You have a big heart and it seems to keep getting bigger. You are an American Hero, truly, because you care. I have sent a previous e-mail about a movie/set and dream I have. Our county is the largest in the state of Washington with the smallest population. We are so blessed though. Many lakes, streams, mountains and great people who have decided even if you can't earn a living you can live a life here. As mentioned before Jack Black comes to our area often because his mom lives here with us. That being said consider my movie proposition. I am a big fan of westerns. The great ones, John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, Chuck Conners all have provided us with a look at life that was hard and had to be earned. Nothing was given to the pioneers they had to make it happen. I would love a chance to be a pioneer. Pioneer in preserving the wonderful world i live in. I don't want big box stores. I would much rather preserve our history and here there is still so much of it left to preserve. What better way than to have a working indian encampment, dude ranch and old west town filled with people who want to be there and experience life before technology. Before too long we will all be virtual reality users and will just sit in a chair and do nothing. Be a sheriff and kill the bad guy. Learning nothing about the struggles of those before us. We can give children the ability to experience life, not plug in, but put on a pair of gloves and make it happen. Those of the concrete jungle would love a chance to be a part of something bigger than internet. Butch Cassidy (Jack Black) and the Sundance Kid (Kid Rock) it just seems to fit so well. Hello, I am a Property Manager that can’t find a job due to the declining economy right now. I had to "Camp" in my vehicle for 6 months in 2011 and I got an inspiration to make a website that will provide the growing homeless population in California a place to go for the “real deal” in resources for camping in your vehicle. It is called: California Homeless Resources: http://www.homelessresourcesca.org/index.html I am also taking that same van I camped in and going to the streets of Santa Barbara and Ventura Ca. to pass out needed items to the homeless several times per week. I would love to work with Kid Rock in some way to promote the website and create more awareness for our homeless. I see you have a blog, it would be awesome if you could do a little story on my site. I have a link to your Foundation on the front page of my site. I have a dream and that dream is to help as many people like myself in this rough economy to be able to go to a place and get help they need now! You can find out my whole story on the website. If you could give me any kind of publicity for my charity I would really appreciate it. The Ventura Star did a story on me here: http://www.vcstar.com/news/2012/jan/17/man-tries-to-connect-homeless-with-resources/ Matt Kennedy, Homeless Advocate and Ceramic Artist J

Happy New Year Bobby, Last year started out with such a high at your Birthday Bash. Our year just continued with the chillin the Most Cruise, Comerica Park, Tinley Park, Chicago House of Blues and the ever so wonderful Malibu Inn. We certainly were blessed with a year of fabulous shows and an opportunity to meet you on the ship. In your Care tour you explained to your fans how you came up with such a great idea. You said now that Junior is gone away at college, you were getting board. I sure hope that you fee that way on Wednesday, January 25th because we have an exciting event for you to attend at the Henry Ford Hospital in Wyandotte, Michigan. Our kids who are developmentally disabled are going to model the Made in Detroit fashions, in an effort to raise some money for their Special Olympians. Special Olylmpics is such an important part of my girlfriend's son's life. At 16 years old this boy lost his father to the same disease that he has. Even though he lost his best friend, he is a warrior. He has had opportunities to participate in the statewide competition at Central Michigan in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. The kids all stay in the college dorms and he thought that was the coolest perience. He told his mother that he now knows what it would feel like to be a college student. Without Special Olympics these kids wouldn't be able to participate in organized sports, it is so much more than sports it is about socialization and friendships. We would love for you to be a part of our event in some way. We appreciate everything you do for Michigan. My girlfriend said she was never prouder to be a Michigander than when she was standing in Line at the Malibu Inn. The locals coulddn't believe that we traveled all of that distance to see you and your band. I'm sorry but those people out there just don't get it. We appreciate all our hometown boy does for his State. Peace.

I work for a non-profit called The Guidance Center. We run the Kids-TALK Children's Advocacy Center in Detroit. We interview children on behalf of police, prosecutors, and children's protective services in cases of alleged child sexual abuse and other forms of maltreatment. Children who have been abused already feel like they have done something wrong to deserve the way they have been treated. Instead of going to a police station to be interviewed by police, which makes them feel scared and even more full of guilt and shame about what they have suffered, they come to Kids-TALK where they talk to someone trained to interview children. Our building is an old mansion on Ferry St. that is warm and child-friendly. While the child is being interviewed, police, prosecutors and children's protective services workers watch the child being interviewed on closed circuit television. These team members all work together to make sure the abuse stops and the child receives whatever is needed to heal. We also provide counseling, advocacy and psychiatric services if needed. All of these services are provided free of charge to all children and their "non-offending" family members. Kids-TALK sees about 1100 children each year. We in the process of adding medical services to the program so that if a child is raped or molested, he or she can come to us to receive medical care from a pediatrician who specializes in child sexual abuse rather than going to a chaotic emergency room. We know that if children don't get the help they need to heal after abuse, their lives are irrevocably damaged. Some victims who go without help end up with life long mental health issues. Others end up in the criminal justice system or addicted to substances. At Kids-TALK, our mission is to provide abused children with the protection, support and treatment they need to heal. I would love to speak to someone from your foundation. lhuot@guidance-center.org

Hey Kid-I'm a huge fan (obviously) and have been to many of your Detroit shows. I am so impressed with the amount that you do for Detroit and the whole state of Michigan. I'm a high school special ed teacher and am organizing a fundraiser for my good friend and co-worker , Jeff Hill (also a special ed teacher and football coach) who found out that his 8 week old baby has Leukemia. She's currently receiving chemotherapy at Children's. I'm organizing a fundraiser to help off set the extra medical costs and the fact that Jeff's wife will probably quit her job to be with her daughter at the hospital everyday. The Comeback Inn on Milford Rd. in Highland has graciously agreed to donate 10% of their total sales on Friday, January 27th. I'm organizing a silent auction (held at the restaurant) as well. Many of our staff members are putting together baskets to auction off. I was wondering if you would be willing to donate a Kid Rock/Made in Detroit basket that we could auction off? Check out Jeff's story; there were two articles written about his daughter in the Royal Oak Patch newspaper. Thanks for reading and for everything that you do for our city! Mr. Kid Rock...okay that sounds lame however I have no idea how to address you..I am a 45 year old Mom and housewife and Im sorry to say that your music is not my style Im a 70's kind of girl..anyway Im not writing to you for me but for a special young man that is in my life..he is a 23 year old wounded Navy/Mariane Veteran named Mathew. Your song "Only God Knows Why" is extremely special to him, you see he has been at war and and has seen some horrible things, his friend was blown up right in front of him and that young mans rib went into Mathews skull..needless to say he has had a rough time of it. Mathew was sent to a VA Hospital for rehab from all of these things to include drugs and alcohol addiction and it was thru a program called Guitars for Vets that his love of playing the guitar started. This program helps Vets work thru their grief and struggles. Mathew has repeatedly said that your song is his anthem. I listened to it myself and it sure does spell out Mathew. I went to the music store to purchase your sheet music for this song and sadly found out that it was not available...there are sites on the internet that offer it however I did not want to go that route. Mathew is now in a tech school to learn a new trade and he is doing so well and I wanted to surprise him with this, we are located in Baltimore, MD. Its men like Mathew that allows us to sleep peacefully at night however Mathew has extreme difficulty sleeping as he keeps having this reoccuring nitemare of the day his friend was killed and he was injured. Is there anything you can do? Thank you so much my email address is thehills4@zoominternet.net..God Bless Lynn Hill

Happy 2012! I was browsing through your site this morning. I have been a fan for just about 10 years, and justified going to two of your concerts in one year cause one was a fundraiser! Which I thought was a fabulous idea. But I didn't see which charities in Indio area it helped???? Please post some info if possible, I'm sure there are some good foundations out there. Thanks again for all you do, the music you share, and the CARE you give to our country. Wishing you a fantastic 2012!!!! I hope to get on one of your cruises very soon.

I was lucky one to share in the Malibu experience. Brought my nephew for the first time seeing Kid Rock, and he loved it. Met a great bunch of people from the cruise, that I will now see in April, and started a stuff a pair of clean socks with all kinds of goodies to give to the homeless in LA. Baby steps. If everyone would do one thing it could only help. Thanks Bob for all you do and wishing you a wonderful 2012. Stephrocks!

Wow - the organizations and all of the individuals throughout this National Care Campaign so to speak, are just amazing. The team that you had selecting them did a fantastic job which I'm sure was hard, being so many in need. But you really made this on such a personal level that it just touches everyone's hearts. Amazing, just amazing!!! :)))
