    I am but one of the many, lucky enough to have been BORN FREE.  Not by choice, but by the grace of God. I often have counted my blessings on my many journeys, and thought about those who were not born so lucky.  As I approach a new chapter in my life, more reflective, more aware of my surroundings and the struggles of people close and far, I realize I could better serve those in need if I could only SLOW MY ROLL and take some time to think about the things that are truly important in life.  I can’t stop the suffering in this world, but I can try to be proactive, do what I can when opportunity arises to help, or at least just CARE.  Sometimes the silence of a PURPLE SKY is so deafening it shuts out everything.  It’s been said WHEN IT RAINS, it pours, like the loss of a job on Monday, mounting debt on Wednesday, family problems Friday.  Sometimes all we can do is find an outlet in friends, family, music, parties, alcohol, and cut loose and scream, “GOD BLESS SATURDAY!”  Why can’t we just get along? You’re not that far left, I’m not that far right, must we constantly COLLIDE? I’m sure if we sat down and talked about things we wouldn’t end up that far apart, but rather a comfortable distance where we all can be happy and pursue our dreams without all the extremism that exists these days.  My hometown sure was FLYIN HIGH during the industrial revolution, we put the world on wheels, made ‘em sing and dance to our sound. The riots, white flight, mistreatment of workers, corporate greed, unions taking advantage, corruption, and education failures took their toll.  But a new day has dawned. My hometown has heart, style and knows how to pick themselves up and dust themselves off when we’ve been kicked down.  We understand it’s not only about where we’ve been, but also, more importantly, that it makes us who we are in TIMES LIKE THESE.  Always be proud of who you are, where you come from and never forget your roots. I love life as much as I love all of you. God bless you and ROCK ON.

    PS.  Thank you to my family, friends and fans.  I hope you have enjoyed this collection of ROCK BOTTOM BLUES, country, hip hop and soul. I enjoyed writing and recording it with the help of some friends and great musicians. I can honestly say I feel like I am in a great place musically and personally FOR THE FIRST TIME in a long time. I hope y’all are too.  Be cool and Merry Christmas.

Hi Bobby, I truly hope u had a beautiful Christmas day with ur family,friends & loved 1's...Just finished reading ur message and u have a way of just saying the right things in just the right way 4 everything just 2 somehow come 2gether and really inspire & make me smile..I faced a few rough challenges this yr and gave myself a few goals and I can proudly can say that I reached every 1 of them.But the biggest one I faced was keeping my smile everyday.This is a struggle becuz we r all faced with something new everyday that is trying 2 take that smile away..U cud have not said it any better when u said "when it rains it pours"..it feels like I have been in a rain storm and I wish some1 wud turn that spicket off.The cut loose & screaming thing sounds really good tho..lol but I am investing in a punching bag myself...like a.s.a.p..woohooo!!!! can't wait..lol And the question of the day...Y can't we just get along???? ya know I wonder that myself alot!!! It really is ashame there is so many in the world who make it so hard 4 this 2 happen..so easy 2 b done but yet we have those who just gotta spu bull crap constantly.I learned alot this yr about myself,life,love,respect and most of all wat it is that makes Brenda smile & that he knows that he is the 1 who always does & no matter wat he will always hold the key 2 her heart.Ur 1 in a million Bobby & always my #1 BAD ASS BOY OF DETROIT...GOD BLESS U & SENDING U MY LOVE..

Happy after Christmas Day!! your blues sounds painful sometimes, but I always find your soul just like mine make me wonder what is your music "soul" is about.so warm so complicated, so moody so painful yet gentle like nothing I ever felt. you are addictive thing I ever tasted. Enough blues already, be happy, be just who you are that is coolest rock musician. My grown children and colleagues shake their heads and friends can't seem to understand why I have gained a true deep respect for you. I wasn't a fan back in your earlier years however as time has rolled on by I have gained a great true appreciation for your music and the kindness of your heart. I saw you perform in Spokane, WA earlier this month I was one of the few fortunate people standing front row center. I saw in your eyes your caring heart as you tired to hold back your tears, as you addressed the crowd. I can't say enough about how profound your music has become in my life, it has helped me cope with my beloved friend battling for the life aganist cancer. I am not a person who gives much credit to others or follow famous people however through your kind caring heatflet actions I sincerely admire your dedication and love. Any person whether famous or not who understand the true meaning of helping others has my vote and support. God Bless YOU!!!!

hey bobby, got my xmas present early when you came out after the maibu show and we gat a chance to chat/get picture (see above) and autographs (on my black red wing jersey). Before you headed up TO YOUR NEST IN THE HILLS, you displayed your much talked about laid-back/down-to-earth persona that is much talked about (because its true). We traveled out from clinton twp. to catch the gig at the malibu inn and it was worth EVERY Penny !! Thanks again, LAY IT ON US in 2012 !!!! cuz it'll be hard to top ur performances in 2011 from ford field to london labatt, from phoenix to toledo, from allegran to chicago HOB and comerica to mailbu ... it was quite a RIDE !!!!!
