    Kid Rock has always been kind of a bad-ass. But now he's some sort of feel-good bad-ass. He just spent about $30,000 to help his neighbors in need. Kid Rock bought 1,200 $25 gift cards from the Meijer department/grocery store that are being given out through local radio stations throughout the Detroit area as a Christmas gift. How nice is that? What I love about this kind of charity is that a lot of people get a little help, as opposed to a little group of people getting a lot of help. Does that make sense? So Kid Rock is making it possible for 1,200 families to maybe have a better dinner on Christmas. Or get their kids new boots. Or pay down their debts. Or get the oil changed on their cars. Or give their gift card away to someone who needs it even more. If you were given one of Kid Rock's gift cards, how would you spend it?

I am a day late and a dollar short , If I had a gift card I would buy some warm boots , so I could stay outside with my daughter and play in the snow . Instead of freezing my feet off and telling her I have to go inside because my feet are cold. But, I have a Idea? A family member bought me a nice sweatshirt ,it cost $60.00 , I am going to return it and get some boots. I don't know if thats a good thing or bad thing. At least my feet will be warm.

How would I spend it? I volunteer with kids in foster CARE. And my "home base" is CARE house in Oakland County, MI. These kids have no parents, or not very good ones. And their Christmas is always depressing. The kids have already been thru so much - the least they can hope for is a little love on Christmas. I love my kids, & would try to get their most wanted gift, so they know someone CARES.

GOOD PEOPLE WITH REAL WARM HEARTS ROCK SO KEEP ON ROCKIN INB THE FREEE WORLD !!!!!!!!!! lke ya guys were saying below my dream causez are the homeless and layers of love children esp teens as well the elderly whomever you see what is a a warm pair of socks , long johns ,gloves, beenie school clothes pjs too!! coats for kids IM RAMBLIN but i read this and it got me thinking tugged at the hearts strang they are on sale now save up for next year perfect time to buy, cut costs the one i would luv to see come to fruition is flights of angels hope it is out there blesss the families ,god is good! babies that have an illness that needs to be flown for proceducers help with transportation, a hotel with contenential breakfast gosh breaks my heart and i could go on and on of things !! gas cards for real~ lord loving life always try and bless love thank give thanks

Bwah ha ha! I'd spend it towards a Kid Rock concert! No just kidding. I'd donate it to the SPCA to help feed those hungry animals. Man, that commercial "in the arms of an angel" by Sarah Mcglaughlin? , for the SPCA, gets me every time. Or maybe by a new coat for a kid that doesn't have one, randomly. Or to help that elderly person on a fixed income pay for their meds or a quality dinner. There are so many, what do you choose? Those things that mean the most to you or pull at your heartstrings the most. It may be one small act and people don't understand the impact of a small act in the bigger picture but it is the small things that lead to bigger ones and one person can make a difference at any time. Merry Christmas to all those ,small and big, who make a difference.

How would I spend it ? Buy some food and share with others that have nothing or very little. Or if a child is in need of warm clothing. Which ever is needed the most, I would share it or give it to who needs it more than I do. If I didn't know anyone who could use it more than me, then I would either use it for gas, an oil change or groceries. Merry Christmas and God Bless You !!!

Hey Kid Rock (Bob) If you gave me a gift card for me I would buy my animals food times get so hard. We can't buy for each other my animal need good food. My husband bless his heart needs a new shaver and work done on his guitars. He does everything for every one works such long hard hours 12 to god knows not long ago 37 1/2 hours straight. His doc says he needs to not work like that but he doesn't get paid buy the hour. He loves to come home and relax playing guitar eat and watch t.v. or tivo in bed. I can't tell you what he goes through the minute he walks through the door his cell rings it's a customer and that can last for hours, and we have no food in the fridge. We make do. Cadit cards and I feed our animals the best. They eat better then us! Thanks & Merry Christmas ! We Love You Keep doing what you do baby! A Real Autographed Guitar wood be nice! Jackie b. # 2

Hey Kid Rock, If I were to get a gift card from you I would give it to my neighbors that make it by with so little! A single mother with a very sick little girl Christina. When she was born only weighed 1 & 1/2 lbs. I've helped when I can, but really she needs a new car or a used car that runs good, they never know when Christina may need to go the doc or hostipal, had so many surgerys . I have tried to ask everyone to help but never got any responce back. The car is in the shop again, It's old, and miss shelia does every thing for others and for her children she never stops helping others for any thing. She has a beautiful heart & soul what a great mother & person. Poor Christina is11 now I don't know how many more surgery she needs her mom never leaves her side she stays in the hospital sleeps on a chair to stay with her little girl! The family has been through hell! They really need help. I feel you are the only one to ask Please Help them Kid Rock! I Love You Jackie Burgess

I am a lucky recipient of one of these Meijer gift cards! My sister wrote to WYCD about how I always have family over who don't have any where else to go on Christmas Day. I never ask my guests to bring anything. I just want to make sure they have a place to go where they are loved! I will be paying it forward. I am giving gift cards to a friend who is really struggling. I want his kids to have a little Christmas at his house. Thank you Kid Rock and Meijer! I feel truly blessed that I was chosen.

If I was 2 b given a gift card I wud have 2 say that I wud 1st get caught up on my bills then watever was left over I wud like 2 donate 2 the womans shelter in my area becuz they were there in my time of need wen I had no1 2 help me wen I was leaving an abusive relationship,recovering from a drug addiction and going thru a bad depression period becuz of everything going on in my life at the time...This is how I wud like 2 spend my gift card if I was chosen..ty 4 the chance 2 share with u.

Well, i live down south in south louisiana, so i am not up north in detroit, but if i got a gift card i would spend in purchasing things for my "grab and go" evacuation bag for next year in case we get hit with another bad hurricane and have to evacuate for a week or so!

In Austin,TX, for a family reunion. We got all the kids together bought socks, handwarmers, toothbrushers, candy, a little money, and are handing them out to people on the streets with signs who are in need. The kids are getting it, and really understanding the needs that are out there. This was a really good project to do with a bunch of kids during the holidays. It's important for them to learn how to give. And to show that we care! Happy Holidays to all the great Kid Rock Fans. And thank you Bob for all you do and for all the good times I get from your tours and the cruise. See you in April!

I thought I would give it to a friend of mine who is living from pay check to pay check but then I thought some more & she has family that can help out. So, I would give mine to a shelter that might be able to buy some extra food or items that the people might need. Thanks for caring so much!!
