Kid Rock has always been kind of a bad-ass. But now he's some sort of feel-good bad-ass. He just spent about $30,000 to help his neighbors in need. Kid Rock bought 1,200 $25 gift cards from the Meijer department/grocery store that are being given out through local radio stations throughout the Detroit area as a Christmas gift. How nice is that? What I love about this kind of charity is that a lot of people get a little help, as opposed to a little group of people getting a lot of help. Does that make sense? So Kid Rock is making it possible for 1,200 families to maybe have a better dinner on Christmas. Or get their kids new boots. Or pay down their debts. Or get the oil changed on their cars. Or give their gift card away to someone who needs it even more. If you were given one of Kid Rock's gift cards, how would you spend it?

I would spend it on a new Kid Rock cd so he can keep on doing good in the world.....and of course I would be more than thrilled to be able to say that Kid Rock gave me this money to help whom ever I felt really needed the help for whatever their needs were. Kid would get all the credit that's for sure! GO KID! I knew you had it in you from way back in 1999! I never had any doubts about him as a fan. When I like someone there has to be a really good reason.....not always, but most of the time I'm never let down.....and with age comes wisdom.

I would buy some groceries and make a meal for a co-worker who just lost her husband to cancer. This is her first Christmas without him. They were high school sweethearts and been together since they were 16 (she's now 46).

THE LEAST THAT I CAN DO, IS CARE.............Random accepts of kindness can change someone's world, or at least brighten their day. At work we adopted a local domestic shelter family of a Mom and 4 kids. We got them Christmas gifts and gift cards to get whatever things they need. We also did a food drive for the local food kitchen and collected pet food to help feed people's pets (we are a vet clinic, so that was right up our alley) Merry Christmas to Bob and to all of the other angels out there!

I would buy lotion for my hospice paitents. Its amazing how it brightens my paitents day when I bring in new lotion to use on them. I guess we forget real quick how much the little things in life mean to ones that have nobody or nothing.

You are such a sweetheart. Thank you for being a great person Bobby. We adopted a family this christmas here in Arizona and bought them food and presents instead of buying each other something. In these times of need for so many of our fellow Americans, we thought we were blessed enough that we didn't need to spend money for things we can live without. Giving a family a better Christmas is all the gift we needed this year. Those of us who are fortuneate should do something for those who are hurting. Everyong have a great christmas and God Bless Kid Rock and his family. Love you KID. Rock On!!!!

Thank YOU Bobby for doing what you do....making christmas a whole lot better for your Detroit neighbors!! If I had a gift card from you I would take it to my local area for the homeless vets, I give them 20 bucks or whatever I can do at that time..I buy strangers dinner, or I pay for the senior citizens grocery order thats ahead of me in line at the store...just some little things but they appreciate it...I recently gave my very favorite carhardt jacket which was my Dad's, too a older world war 2 vet that I saw shivering on the street corner...I took it off me and helped him into it as he was shivering.. I said this will keep u warm sir & I thanked him for his service to our country...I wish I had more to give, but I love doing what I can afford...Keep Rockin Bobby We Love Ya!!

I wouldn't even enter because I am blessed enough not to need it & also blessed enough to give the $25. So I am suggesting that all of the posters dig in deep for that $25 and find a place to use it. Let's walk the walk like Bob is showing us. Leave the winning to those who need it & give from the abundance of your heart. Like Bob. I can't give 1200 gift cards away but I do think I CAN give away one & if 1199 other people give away ONE then we can double Bob's gift. @Kid Rock: love your heart.

I would give it to the young lady down the street, a full time college student, and works at a resturant, and just took in her her 13 year old nephew and 10 neice, from their alcholic, mentally ill sister tor the second time to keep them out of foster care. She is a kid, having to raise to kids on no notice and with no help. I would definately see that she got one. She would be so greatful

I would make a care package and send it to a soldier in Iraq.

I so love this and I'm just going to say what popped into my head first, you can do a lot with $25.00 to brighten peoples lives this Christmas!!! I would take that $25.00 gift card and buy a box of cards to send to our military, then I would buy bagged candy to give to little ones, then I would buy stuff to make for oatmeal cookies to give to senior citizens in local nursing home so they too know they were not forgotten, then I would too make oatmeal with cinnamon/sugar of course and give to it some runaway teens that would rather be out fending for themselves than in an abusive home and also get them some water because of dehydration in the winter time then what money was left would go into the Salvation Army's bucket on the way out of the store!!! God bless

Would find a family more in need than I and make sure they had a Christmas dinner with all the trimmings. Would even throw in a fresh batch of cut out cookies! I am so sure that Kid Rock is one of the best people I have heard about in along time. just thanking him for his generosity...many have alot...but not many help others! I needed a feel good story today, it has been a rough day. thanks buddy!

The Walmart by my house has a Salvation Army Angel tree. You grab a paper angel from the tree and on the angel is written the Christmas gift wish for a boy or girl which you then proceed to buy and donate. I would use it to buy the gift. I did this earlier today. A 12-year-old girl wrote she needed shirts but wanted a craft kit on her angel. She's getting both. I had tears in my eyes at the check-out. It ,made me feel great to help a child at Christmas. KID, helping 1200 people must make you feel amazing. God Bless you and TBT.

I would give it to a local school counselor to provide items for a child in need that they might know about. Often the schools and teachers are so aware of the needs of children (coats, clothes, shoes) but when they try to help out by giving money to families the money gets distributed for other items. These kiddos just need a little extra nurturing sometimes along with the hugs and caring hearts.

"...give a little more than you got to give"--KR The fact that we are all able to respond means we are blessed and fortunate! If you gave up your morning Starbucks, lunch out and drinks with friends for one day you could afford to give almost $50 to someone in need. Your local food bank or homeless shelter can really use your support--there are a lot of hungry people out there! :( Also, you could give to your local Toys for Tots and help the Marine Corp give toys to needy kids! Or you could simply do something nice for your friend or neighbor! Bobby sets a high example for all of his fans...give as generously as you can and know you are better off than a lot of people!

You are a good man Bobby. I still wonder when do you ever rest? Lots of love to you and your family. I would donate my card to the family we are helping this year from my BFs family in the name of his mothers at her Church she is greatly missed.
