Kid Rock has always been kind of a bad-ass. But now he's some sort of feel-good bad-ass. He just spent about $30,000 to help his neighbors in need. Kid Rock bought 1,200 $25 gift cards from the Meijer department/grocery store that are being given out through local radio stations throughout the Detroit area as a Christmas gift. How nice is that? What I love about this kind of charity is that a lot of people get a little help, as opposed to a little group of people getting a lot of help. Does that make sense? So Kid Rock is making it possible for 1,200 families to maybe have a better dinner on Christmas. Or get their kids new boots. Or pay down their debts. Or get the oil changed on their cars. Or give their gift card away to someone who needs it even more. If you were given one of Kid Rock's gift cards, how would you spend it?

I would give it to my dad, he has cancer and can't even walk.. Anyway,I would give it to him because he was there for me and my girls when I got a divorce.

I would buy another card and give them to two families. I would only ask that when they are in the position to do so, that that they return the good deed that was provided to them. It is so much better to give than to receive( unless it's Rock"s free concert tickets.) But seriously, Kid Rock has the biggest heart of anyone I know. Alot of "Super Stars" talk the talk. Kid Rock walks the walk!! It ain't bragging Motherfucker if you back it up!! Health and happiness to all this holiday season.

I would pass it on to someone who needs it more than I do. I tell my family, when they are feeling low, " someone would gladly trade places with u"

Since I had to spend all my money to fix our car. I would give it to my twelve year old daughter so that she would have something. Waiting on a dead beat dad to pay support. She is a beautiful girl livin in a miserable situation.

I would have to save it until I can get enough money to purchase propane to heat my home & cook with...but...on the other hand, if i heard of someone who is in need more than my-self--I would certainly give it to them.....some may need it to re-fill a perscription, which I have found my-self many many times that i didn't have the cash to fill mine...& they are important ones to...so, thats what i would do....Thank you Bob...I like your way of thinking...& your a great-caring man who I appreciate u & your music.....god bless you and your family

Every little bit helps when you're in need. If I had a $25 gift card, hmm.... I'd probably let my boys split it between the two them....better yet, I'd give it to my 94yr.old Grandma she could really use it...yep that's what I'd do.

I would give it to my daughter, Krystal who is a 10 year brain tumor survivor. She had become a new mom this year and is such an AMAZING mom in spite of being in a wheelchair from the surgery to remove her tumor. She is taking college classes online and struggles daily just to do the things most people take for granted, yet she keeps on keeping on. I so admire her spirit and she could use all the help she can get with necessities, and a little extra would be such a blessing!

I would give the card to a friend in need. Thanks for all you do in our area!! $25 may not seem like alot, but to those who receive it, that might be just what they need to buy a few meals. I'll be clearing out my pantry this w/e and donating canned goods to OCEF. So to everyone that reads this, go out and do something to help even one person.

I would honestly give the gift card away to someone in need. Our family is very blessed that we are ok this Christmas...knock on wood. Our kids are healthy, we have a great home and car and we are able to provide a good Christmas this year. Many are not as fortunate and it's our job to help others when we can. Do good for others and good things will come back to you...Bob realizes that. He is the best of both worlds..bad ass rocker who has a Motown heart of gold and gives back to help others. Merry Christmas to the Kid and all of his followers.
