    Kid Rock announced today that he has purchased 1,200 $25 Meijer gift cards that he plans to distribute throughout the city of Detroit as a Christmas present to people in need in his hometown. The gift cards, which will be distributed through local radio stations in the area, will be good for redemption at any local Meijer store. The gift cards will become available starting today, Dec. 14th. This is becoming an annual tradition for Kid Rock. Last year around Thanksgiving, Kid Rock donated 1,000 meals in the same way, and since the reaction was so great he has upped the amount to 1,200 this year.

    Kid Rock recently completed a high profile underplay tour of the U.S. where, in association with a powerhouse group of local Detroit business people, more than $375,000 was donated to local charities via his Kid Rock Foundation. Sunday night, Kid Rock performed a special rendition of his current single "Care" at CNN's Heroes: An All-Star Tribute before heading up the road to Malibu, where he and his Twisted Brown Trucker Band performed for an intimate mix of fans and friends. This is not the last charitable act Kid Rock has up his sleeve; a major announcement is being planned for early next year which will once again focus on Detroit.

Hey someone way south of heaven was wondering if she can have a tube steak on Kid. Ya see she's realy hungry and Kid wouldn't even have to buy it.....hint, hint. I hate to be this way but it is what it is. God Bless Kid for feeding the hungry but my hunger is not of that kind and for that I am grateful, although I do feel a bit needy after almost 8 yrs. of starvation.......Hummm a heat seeking moisture missle sounds so good right about now....Does anybody here believe in human combustion? I've been obsessed by the notion ever since I heard about it when I was a kid....At this stage of the game I have no doubts that it does indeed happen and Lord knows it could be me next. And feeling hot in below zero weather makes it all the more real to me....Come on baby light my fire, try to set the night on FIRE!

And it just continues....everyday I find another reason to love Kid Rock! Thanks again for all you are doing! Cool story out of Montana...a mysterious good samaritan went into a local Kmart and asked to help pay off some layaways that were past due...he ended up paying the entire list and is supposedly from Michigan! According to the news the man doesn't have any family so this is how he celebrates Christmas. Glad to know there are some good ones left and that you're one of them!
