    He and anyone else who wants to use my song do not need my permission. I said he could use it and I would say the same for any other candidate. I have to have a little faith that every candidate feels like he or she can help this country. Without faith, we got nothing. I make music to have it be heard. Merry Christmas folks! Rock on.

I think if a candidate were to pick "American Bad Ass", that would be really cool~ just sayin'? We need to get a lil less PC in this Country. Due to the State of this Country, Born Free makes me want to cry about every time I listen to it, it is so uplifting~

Understandable to allow your music to be used and shared freely. But allowing a politician use your music, you are putting yourself in the political atmosphere. People will associate your song with that politician and will associate you with endorsing that candidate. Whether you are or not, perception is reality. As a fan of Kid Rock, I'm disappointed in your decision to allow Mitt Romney use your song. Although I can't blame you, the Republican party will be sure to help you protect the millions you make. Not that I wouldn't do the same thing if I was in your shoes. I guess I'll have to enjoy the music of Kid Rock and not be a fan of Bobby Ritchie.

Relax, I'm a Republican and still will listen to Stevie Wonder and Fleetwood Mac even though Democrats used their song for their campaigns. If you are so small minded that having Romney use a KR song is a turning point then maybe you need to listen to Disney music.

Although Kid isn't declaring any political status, I would hope he leans to the right ;) "Born free" obviously refers to our freedoms, which are protected by the constitution....and we need a true constitutional conservative in office!

Thanks for representing the republicans!! Although I don't know if Mitt will be my number one choice, at least he has an awesome campaign song!!! And Holly, it sucks the auto industry could have failed and homes are foreclosing, but excessive lending for bailouts and stimulus packages are not the answer. Stimulus spending does not work, it creates false hope and it is temporary, clearly, as we see the markets are still bad. This also creates a heavy tax burden for the future. The markets DO need to correct themselves. Just sayinnnn! :)
