    Kid Rock To Help Injured KCK Mom

    Musician Kid Rock is stepping in to help a Kansas City, Kan., mother who risked her life to save her children from a burning home.

    On Oct. 1, Claudia Gonzalez made two trips back into her apartment to save her children. She was able to get two of her children out, but her 3-year-old son, Yair Ramos, died.

    "He was so small," she said. "Sometimes, I feel guilty that I wasn't able to get him out first."

    Gonzalez still suffers from burns to her face, arms and legs. She is being treated at the University of Kansas Hospital.

    Kid Rock, who is performing at the Midland Theater in Kansas City, Mo., on Tuesday evening, offered to help. His foundation is donating money to a charity called El Centro that will help pay for her recovery.

    Gonzalez said her extreme pain and the grief over her son makes good days like this rare. "This will be a big help to El Centro," she said. "I really appreciate Kid Rock because there will be other people who'll need his help, too."

This is Bobbie Jean's niece and I'm so blown away by this story! He's has a great heart and he helps people in so many ways! God Bless him and his family and friends and I hope he knows that we are all praying for him and we are also praying for this lady and all of those that must undergo this pain! All I have to say is Wow! After I read what had happened to Claudia Gonzalez I hugged my two kids tighter than I ever hugged them. I can't even imagine the pain that Claudia is going through right now. Claudia will continue to be in my thoughts and daily prayers. Is there a way where we can donate to the charity El Centro? So heart broken for the loss of her little three year old, Yair. No parent should have to live with such guilt. So glad she's receiving such a wonderful ray of hope.

Wow - this is incredible. Talk about amazing things happening, it's beautiful! God Bless Kid Rock and all of the Sponsors! The lady having gone through that and thinking of others is pretty humbling to just read about. What a wonderful Mother she is & I pray that God be with her and her Family in all of this, especially the loss of her 3 year old Son, in Jesus's name!

What an amazing story of courage that a mother has and the ability of one heart to heal. From one mother to another God is holding your hand and the courage you need to comes from within but is exposed by the kindness of others. Loss is so very hard but finding joy in when in the depth of despair will bring healing and peace to your soul. I have loss much and each day that I find the new hope from what I do and do not have I get closer to what God wants for us. Your peace is with in you. Man, I don't care what anyone else says or thinks...Kid Rock you are a true blessing and an example to all in the things you do. My heart goes out to the woman as well and I am asking God to bless her, and he already has with the help from you. Thanks for being someone that can set a good example for our children, so your music may offend some, but it is just words...has nothing to do with the goodness in you. I believe people can truly make a difference and I think you just did. I love you and your music......

No one should ever have to experience the loss of their child. How devastating! Like the mom said: the extreme pain and the grief make it hard to have a "good day" and you should feel honored to be such a HUGE PART of giving this mom one of those moments. I commend you and the band for doing such a selfless act by giving back. Just goes to show that "music does calm the savage beast"....we can ALL stand to learn something from you guys and just take a moment to acknowledge that somewhere outside of our "busy lives" there IS SOMEONE in PAIN that could really benefit from the slightest act of CARING.
