Awesome i have had nothing but drama going on about this show since i got my ticket ordered by phone on ticketmaster...but it is turning out good so far so i can't complain...Haven't looked into lodging right around that area usually stay within 15 minutes of Nashvegas. Will have to do a search and see what is up...
I'm going to be there! Got tickets first 10 minutes they were on presale! 19 days!!!! Can't wait -drivin in from Ironton,Ohio--going to Tootsies afterward--staying just acoss the street.
Well, my drama is over and it has a happy ending...something i was damn sure wasn't gonna happen. One of my co-workers traded me. I took the listing down. And am very thankful right fucking now is all i can say...I just hope the unexpected doesn't happen, like she changes her mind, etc....
OH, if anyone here is interested here is the link for the auction:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/140630197873?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p...
Well i listed it on ebay....i wish someone here would have bought it. Would feel better about it all the way around. I got the s/h @ $8.50. I realize it won't cost that but there are all kinds of fees when you deal with ebay. They take 9% of the final value of the auction. So every $100 dollars you sell they take $9. The start up price is @ the exact price i paid through ticketmaster....I got a feeling it is gonna sell and might even make money for me...yet i really don't want nothing extra. If i come out even that makes me happy....
Now i gotta see the next schedule @ work not my current one and hope i am off the 22nd, my birthday so i can go see him @ Indy!!!! Unfortunately i am having to watch the tickets on ebay, stubhub, and other scalpers...I am gonna wait and sweat them out though. It is hilarious how they drop when no one buys them. Usually less then face value....
If someone here really wants to buy the ticket contact me via this thread or commenting on my profile prior to the auctions end i might cancel it for ya. I will have to have payment first of course prior to cancellation though....
If nobody expresses interest past hitting the thread and saying i wouldn't mind going i am gonna put this ticket up on ebay Monday. The concert will be here before you know it. So i have a valid time frame to sell it and ship it out it will go on the auction block Monday if no one contacts me and we make arrangements here to sell it...Sorry but i can't take a chance of eating this ticket plain and simple. It may be the money i used to go on the 22nd if i am off to Indy....
It is section 10 L Row. I only want what i paid for it plus however you want it shipped. I really don't want to go to ebay because i will start it @ what i paid then if it goes higher ppl will think i am scalping which is not my intention. If i sell it on here i would prefer you or whomever pays postage to sign for it so i am covered. and possibly insurance. Cause when i sell shit on ebay i have seen it happen ppl say i didn't get it and i had to eat it once or twice. Scalpers want way more...i don't . Would rather know a fan got it and got it on time for the show.
I wasn't gonna ditch the holdiays. I was gonna stop by my aunts in Kentucky on my way back for Thanksgiving. I paid $77.19 then add s/h to it and it yours. I can tell you the exact amount if you want by what they say @ the post office. I prefer to insure it for $100 and have it signed for. I am guessing it shouldn't be over $7.50 for both of those. Let me know it is up to you. I will give you a couple of days on here to respond. You can either bump the thread or post it on my profile..
Signature confirmation is $2.45 @ the post office, then insurance is i think .70, but to be safe say $1.50 i know the price may have went up a little. So i could probably send it for lest then $5. Like i said will have to verify this in person....
I hate like hell to miss. Been thinking about calling in sick. Already tried to get out of the shift with my boss. f i call in it will be obvious.....Maybe if i am of the 22nd i will check stubhub @ the last minute and try to snag a ticket cheap and go to that one....
bump
BTW, I've seen the Goo Goo Dolls live and it was hysterical. They were playing a bar show and were lit when they hit the stage. They drank the steady stream of drinks that fans brought them all night too. It was an over 21 only thing in Northern Indiana at a really small venue. My friends knew the bouncers and got us as close to the stage as possible.
Johnny Rzeznik got so lit he forgot the second verse to "Name" after he gave a long speech about how their fans tell him he sold out with that song. He started the first verse again and the whole band including him lost it laughing. He decided to bring a fan up to sing it and chose a hot blonde who had no clue what the words were. He finally figured it out and sang the rest of it, but it was so funny since it was right after "Slide" hit big which wasn't that long after "Name." I was about ten feet away from him the whole time and could hear everything.
Is it just a single GA? I might be interested. It wouldn't be the first major holiday that I've ditched for Nashville. That was last Easter and I found Sparky from Skynyrd playing with a friend's band on Broadway. Holidays in Nashville seem to work out well for me with who I've seen play Broadway since Sparky wasn't the first. .
I have to talk to my husband and see what he thinks since he's working that night and I'd be out there on my own. This is more tempting than the possible snow I'd be headed into by myself for Thanksgiving with my family. He had to cover Thanksgiving AND Christmas to get New Year's with me this year. Isn't that a load of crap? Rotation lists are supposed to work by seniority, which it sounds like you have. I hope you can get it, but may be interested if not.
Bumpity bump. Trying to keep this up top so peeps see it and got a chance @ it!
Would have so loved to see Kid at the Ryman but I am the chef for the big day for my entire family and would never be able to make it. It's nice you are putting it up here first for the fans, Ajay.
Waiting to find out. This being done by email. Will probably get an answer tomorrow...It is a bunch of shit really. I work all the holidays. Now all of a sudden we have a rotation list and i have to work Thanksgiving holiday. Which on overnights is the night before the holiday as it goes into the day of the holiday.
Ajay, you should change the title of the post so more people will know about it. Sorry you can't go, that really sucks! What did your boss say when you reminded him/her that you've worked the last two Thanksgivings and most every holiday?
I will give you guys a couple of days to let me know if you want it. Message me on my page here if you are interested....After a couple of days i am gonna put it on ebay. I can't afford to eat it....I honestly would prefer to go but fuck all so far i haven't got out of working. Have considered calling in, but figure it is like this i have already asked and if i call in they will know pretty much....
Well looks like i am screwed @ this point. I have a ticket to Kid @ Ryman on the 23rd and have been told by my boss that i have to work this holiday. Which i find funny because i have worked the last 2 Thanksgiving every holiday you can think of this year.
Anyway, anyone here interested in buying this ticket from me for what i paid for it? I paid $77.19 by my Discover card bill. I have a hard ticket in hand. Of course you would have to pay shipping and handling and i would prefer to send it to where you signed for it so i would know you got it without question. Let me know...I figured i would offer it here first before i put it up on ebay. I ain't looking to make money off of this ticket by any means. Just trying not to eat it...
Yeah i was hoping to score the ticket that got ganked from me. Least i got a ticket and get to go ya know??? It could have been worse. Now i gotta line it up with work and ask off. It is day after i turn the big 40! Really hoping i get Thanksgiving off too. Haven't been off the last 2 and by rotation rights i should be off. We see. I got family in Kentucky i can hit on my way back and my parents will be there for Thanksgiving. My aunt Sandy throws down for Thanksgiving.
Just really happy i get to go ya know? Still gonna rip ticketmobster a new asshole when i review them...they scam ticket buyers and i have seen evidence over and over of it. They hold the good seats for scalping they dump them if they can't scalp them. l am a constant watcher on ticketmobster. I watch them change it from where you can pick your seat to just a basic map. Then load tickets back in then change it back and forth. Irving Azhoff is a snake...just ask Axl Rose. He fired him, not that Axl is the best example by any means. He is doing the same shit in ticketing that he tried to do in music, bleed the fans dry so he can live high on the hog. Ticketmaster is like the mob. What they are doing is really racketeering.... and i hope they get caught @ it!
Anyways...just glad i get to see Kid Rock in such a small venue. Will be a big change from the likes of Riverport in Maryland Heights...
Love the history at the Ryman. Took my daughter up to the stage and she sang a song where so many country greats sang (Patsy Cline!). They have a recording studio in the back where you can actually record a song. Love Nashville. Would have been so happy to see Kid there the day before Thanksgiving but that's how it goes...got commitments here at home. Someone has to get that bird ready before the Lions game.
