    Your Kindness Out-Pours Unto Your Fans.. and We Hear You : )

    I, just like so many of us, have been following Kid Rock, TBT and their music since 1999.  In fact, 12 years ago this month, my husband and I attended our first ever show in Philly.  Since then, we sorta rolled where the wind took us which has been a ton of different States in dozens of different venues, and a couple boat rides to 'Roll wit the Rock' & 'Chill the Most' - it's been quite an amazing road that I'd never thought we'd be traveling. 

    Along the way, we met so many friends with warm hearts, and open arms who seemed to want the exact sorta thing that we were looking for... which is :  Fellowship amongst friendly and familiar faces that share the same common interest.  And yet, after all this time gone by, it still continues on today, given the fact that there are so many of us out there in the community.  We are still meeting new friendly faces, partying down with one another with one thing in mind - We Love This Band !!!!

    Bob, I hope you know how good to each other we are : )  These are people 'fans' that will invite you into their home, send birthday n Christmas cards, send care packages, invite you over for dinner, carpool to the shows together, set up tailgates, do pre n post parties, share hotel rooms, encourage 'get togethers outside the 'going to' shows, buy tickets for each other - the list goes on and on just like the friendships that we made thru supporting you and the band.  

    Being Good to Each Other Brings on the Smiles & Good Times !!

     

    PAYING IT FORWARD......   WHAT CAN WE DO TO HELP ???

    Being blessed with such friends and opportunities, I wanted to give back to 'The Kid Rock Foundation', in some way or another.  Kid Rock's spirt of human kindness has also effected my motivation in this, as sometimes we see people acting kindly which can start a phenomena of Good Deed amongst everyone.  So, with the help of some friends, I have compiled a few links for folks like you and I,  who may want to 'Give Back' in some small way.

    1)  OPERATION HOMEFRONT - HELP OUR WOUNDED WARRIORS IN NEED !!  

    Text "SALUTE" to 90999 to give a $5.00 donation.  Their Mission is to provide emergency financial and other assistance to the families of our service members and wounded warriors.

    This didn't work for me because I have one of those 'pay as you go' cell phones as I keep some things cheap to save for things that mean more to me.  But, if you happen to not have a cell phone, or have one like I have; and you would like to donate, copy and paste the link below to the official site.  This also explains their mission in more detail, gives current needs, and explains how you can volunteer, or support your local chapter.

Becky.... We are planning a "Backwards Raffle" for a foundation for Kids with Cancer. Here is how it works: 200 tickets sell for $100 each. The ticket is for 2 dinners and the events during the raffle. Also, 50/50 's are done during the night. We start with $1 50/50's then go to $5, $10, $20 during the night. Last year, I won $998 on the $20 50/50. Get people together to help with a buffet dinner and that saves. in the end one night can raise close to $35,000. The grand prize is $10,000 for the raffle winner. Most of the time the last 8 to 10 remaining ticket holders with split the $10K.

Just an idea.

I wish all entertainers would follow your lead and give back to this Country as you are doing. Especially all actors and musicians that came out of Detroit. I challenge all of them to follow your lead. Matter of fact, we all need to give to our fellow americans that are in need. I hope to think I am giving back.

Again... I just can't believe I just 'only ' spent 167.50 for two tickets to one of his charity shows.. (just when we thought the shows were over for this year)... where I've spent many of many dollars before on other shows... there's just something to be said for that. 'Give a lil bit more then you got to give' He's giving to us... one helluva treat for that price....

@KidRockAngel, I def am gonna stay tuned for anything EFC comes up with. I feel these ladies are true good hearted pioneers in their own right. Nobody has been able to do something like they've accomplished so far.. it's so heart-felt.. and I'm so very proud to be apart of their group.

As far as my 'wanna do' efforts.. I will make sure I don't overstep the boundaries of what the EFC group has already accomplished as far as their contributions to the Rainbow Connection. But because of them.. and other's who want to Unite, and Kid Rock.. being good hearted has an infectious empowerment that is the pulling drive for me to wanna help.

Is there anyone else out there that feels this way, too?

Also, looking for fund raising ideas to .. lets say.. make 300 bucks turn into 1200 bucks for the Foundation.. and so on and so on. I mean.. I could easily donate the 300 bucks and be done with it.. but I have some extra time.. and I like knowing I feel needed. I think we all do... it's human nature at it's finest : )

In the meanwhile... I'd like to know if anyone has any ideas on how we can come together to help Mr. Ritchie fullfill his goal of reaching 1 Million for The Kid Rock Foundation. So far, there has been some great ideas put to work on Eye Candy Friday's fb group.. giving to the Rainbow Connection. I was wondering if there were other fans out there that are willing to brainstorm with me.. and what we can do to help out.

KId Rock and the Twisted Brown Trucker Band are going above and beyond to give all us fans a treat of a show for the sake of charity.. and still they managed to keep the cost of tickets low regardless it being for the charity. Wow !! I'm taken back by that one.. as I thought the price of tix would be a lil bit more due to raising funds.

So, my question is... now.. what can we do to help out.. to help raise some money for The Kid Rock Foundation? Any and All suggestions are welcome.
