hey guys, so im comin over from Australia with a couple friends and we are hiring and RV to drive to these Detroit gigs, in Clarkston, was wondering if anyone knows of any caravan parks around Clarkston that would be good to stay at? and also any tips on what areas we should stay away from to avoid trouble?

Summer event season is in full swing in the Quad City area. And as the events go on, so does severe weather.
Event organizers must plan for any possible weather conditions. Burlington Steamboat Days President and Des Moines County Sheriff, Mike Johnson, said organizers run through exercises with emergency management crews.
"We think of all possible scenarios that could happen at Steamboat Days," he said.

I say we do the bar with food gig, say, around 6:00-6:30 ish? Is that too early if there is a wait, etc? I want to meet RSMS..if I grab something to eat then I shouldn't be too under the table by later on. Let's get this party started!! Are we looking at around 10 ppl or so? Some ppl may not eat, so if crowded, at least if we have A Table to crowd around, should be OK?
Both are restaurant and bars, the Woodshop;s bar is smaller. We can find out how many in the party, Woodshop gives you a beeper and we can go to Union for drinks, Or the union has a bar downstairs, but very dark, but it is bigger than Woodshop, I think. Not sure if they serve food in the downstairs Union bar. Pretty sure we have to have all in the party before they seat us. At least the majority have to be there. It id always very busy, but both Lake Orion and Clarkston (local High Schools) have home games so it may not be as busy. Plus it is Clarkston's Homecoming. Hope this helps.
That's fine with me Mrs.Cedars are near we will go get seats. The Woodshop has the same famous mac and cheese and the BBQ pork. What time do we want to go. I will go to wherever and wait in line for our table. Need an approximate number of guest. Cant wait either way!

I am seeing The Union Woodshop at 18 S. Main in Clarkston, and the Clarkston Union Bar and Kitchen at 54 S. Main. Is the Woodshop mainly the dining place? It sounded like the Union Bar and Kitchen does have a good menu also, and said a great selection of beer. I guess I would say the bar if we are going a little later now..it is up to you guys. If someone has been there b/4, holler :)

Anytime that you need me to be there I can go. After the two surgery incidents in 10 days this will be a treat. Just need to know Friday so we have an estimate on what our needs for seating will be. Union Station or Union Woodshop. Same owners. We can start at one and walk to the other as they are down the block from each other. So can't wait to meet everyone.
