    Fans Upset About Ford Field Tickets And What Not......

    I am a musician. I did not attend college and barley made it out of high school. I try my hardest to keep my ticket prices low, THIS I HAVE CONTROL OF.!! I can not control nor do i understand how the fuck the scalpers and all the secondary websites and bullshit get them. IF I COULD CONFRONT EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM FACE TO FACE I WOULD AND IT WOULD NOT WORK OUT TO WELL FOR THEM I GAURANTEE ALL OF YOU. I hate them, i feel like someone is beating up a close friend or family member while im chained to a chair. I try to understand it, i try to ask my managers and people in the buisness i know to help me understand it, but it seems they dont either. The only way i know right now to stop it is to not buy from these people or wait till the last minute when there scared they cant sell em and have to sell them cheap. I am not gonna apologize for something i cant control and it you wanna hate or blame me for it, go for it. But if your really pissed about it, research it and try to find out why its going on and let me know. alot of us are trying to figure out a better way, trust me, the last thing i want is some bottom of the barrel lazy fuck who wont get a real job ripping off my fans to get rich. And no, this post was not consulted w my mangers or publicist, they would probly say not to post it, but thats not how i do things. This is right from my computer to yours. I hope it helps to understand at least how i feel about people trying to get tickets in my fan club or any other way that turns out to be a let down, THAT IS NOT MY INTENTION OR WHY I GOT INTO MUSIC AT ALL. Maybe i should shut down the fan club, because i dont want anyone to think im screwing them and i cant keep the "bottom feeders" from joining it, YET! I try to think of better ways to do things all the time, especially for the fans, but my main focus is always my son and then writing good songs, without those two things, nothing is happening. I will keep my mind spinning trying to figure out a better way to get good tickets to my true fans, and it brings to mind a new song on the new cd "the least that i can do is care" unfortunatley thats not gonna be enuff in this case. trust me im on top of this and doing what i can. thx

Thanks for your post! With this day and age of computers it changes the whole way to get tickets. Remember the days when we would line up at Ticket Master in hopes of getting a band and then hoping that the color or the number was in the first group....now that's a loyal fan!! I'm sure you are doing all you can to prevent this from happening the thing is though that you are so true,loyal and real and that makes us fans love you even more. You understand what the average person is going through and respect it.I couldn't get tickets either (early) the were all gone. I can't afford to pay $300.00 to see you, between husbands lay off and my transplant that one ticket is an unemployment check. I know I'm not the only one, but don't hate on Kid ! We have to beat them at their own lazy ass games. My hubby & I have worked our ass' off for over 26 yrs and it was gone in a second do to my illness,hubby laid off (construction in Michigan....yeah) and these putz's sick behind their computer doing nothing and take advantage of all of us that work so hard and just want to go out and have some fun by raising these ticket prices....and don't give me crap that we don't have to buy them..I know that....they make it impossible anyways.... keep on Kid and know that your true fans still love what you do even though we can't see you in person! You will find an answer or God will send you the right person to help.You can't go through life screwing people and you reap what you sow......they'll get theirs. God Bless and happy hunting...lol.

Fans club members should come first!!! That's what we pay for , Right???? it was already sold out by the time I clicked on it ,thru the fan club web. next day,Ticketmaster members only, had me buy a 7.00$ insurance to get my VIP tickets, wtf !! no Kid Rock jersey or a football., bummer. I think a ticket lottery would be the most un-biased way to ensure even distribution. Each lottery entry requiring a credit card (or debit) w/ a billing address and a single billing address can't have more than one entry. Each lottery entry good for as many as 8 tickets. This could be done in a similar manner as Collegiate Athletic bowl games. You register in the lottery for a particular price-level of ticket or multiple price-levels. I would think a system like this would be pretty easy to put together with low overhead. You wouldn't need dozens of servers supporting thousands of people logging on at a single time, just a deadline for lottery entry. This precludes the 3rd parties running 10 super-computers at a time from timing an all-out blitz on ticketbastard as soon as tickets are on sale...

The other culprit in this is ticketmaster. They have a monopoly and even have there own reseller site. They charge 10% fees regularly and have nothing to do with producing the music!! The only way to stop this entirely is to eliminate internet sales and use only local sites. This way someone in LA can't buy and resell tickets to a Detroit concert!!!!!!!

I had called ticketmaster the last round of shows to find out why the hell I couldn't get tix, yet 2 minutes after they go on sale they are on different sites for sale 4x the ticket price. I thought that scalping was illegal and wanted to know why and how these stupid bastards can get away with this! The ticketmaster lady informed me that if the insurance is purchased that they can basically do "whatever" with the tickets and if they are unable to use them they can get their money back. So needless to say I didn't get to go to your last round of shows because I wasn't giving those assholes my hard earned money! Hopefully through the presale today I will be able to land two tix for my daughter and I! Thanks for your ever evolving music....It ALL Good! :D

im disappointed that i couldn't get tickets to 1 of the best birthday bash's of Michigan history.. Detroit's own KID M F'IN ROCK , but Bob dont be upset & let it ruin your show ..it's your words from your songs that brings us all together we relate, we understand, & we know them dam scalpers will get theirs 1 way or another. i been working some overtime just so i could try to get tickets(4) but as a soon as it went on sale it was sold out WOW!!! what-do-to-what-to-do, hmmm btw i wanna wish you the very happy b-day & happy holidays from all of us. I suggest no presales, the scalpers or brokers whichever will not be able to sit around on their computers and screw all of the real fans. I want to wait in line and get the rush of getting my ticket right then and there, I live in Romeo and the nearest ticketmaster is the venues 45 min away OH WELL guess if I want to go that's what to do. Bob you and your musician friends need to BAND together for all of us lil' people your voice is louder than ours and you've got friends all over the map. If no presales its a fair shot for everyone. Where are the harmony house days???

We are not mad at you, Bob. I have only been to 6 shows, and they were all great. Just wish you would do a show in the U.P.! I did find it interesting, however, that Rep. John Conyers son was complaining that he had $27,000 in concert tickets stolen out of "his" government owned car recently. Sounded strange that a normal person (not a scalper) would have $27,000 worth of tickets to concerts.

I know that if you had your way you would give most of us tickets as cheap as possible. I go to every concert that I can of yours but I won't be able to come to your birthday bash either. :( I won't support the bullshit sites that want to make $$ off of your loyal fans!!Together as loyal fans we have to make sure we do NOT support any of those sites!! I Feel You - II'm beside You- and Always behind You - Its no surprise there was a HUGE demand 4 the Birthday concert tix , none of this stuff with the scalpers is new,unfortunately the bigger of a star You get to be,it will probably not get any easier, I have more problems w/ the seating in the bigger venues, than I do w/ the tix themselves......but I've been fortunate to see over 40 shows n more than half of them were $30 gen. admit. or 1st or 2nd row =]..now mind you that was 2000-06 pretty much, ... tix are still low ...but YOU ARE BIG-TIME BOBBY now =] so the scalpers will have a hayday ;( I wish I could fix it too, I understand and would never blame you for ANY of it !! *blowin you'~~~kiSSeS*....L-O-V-E You Much,

Bobby...you need to take a good hard look at the people who are chosen to be your "promoters". They are the problem. Too many presales..ie Lions game, ect... If you really wanted to stop this ticket non sense you could first contact Ebay, and remind them that michigan Law states you can not reslae tickets for more than face value. It would be a good start. Very disappointed that after attending more than 20 of your shows, I will not be able to enjoy this one...

I as a loyal Kid Rock fan was also disappointed that I was not able to get tickets and very surprised to see how many were available on off sites before they even went on sale to the public. I would not support any one of those, as bad as I want to see you, it just is so unfair that those people want to play on the fact that they know how loyal your fans are. For the people who support and buy tickets from these sites, I guess they just don't see how much they feed into the fact that some fat cat is making money off of our commitment to you as fans!!! I have seen you three times in the past year and would have loved nothing more then to be there for your celebration, but I stand on my morals and would not give one penny to anyone who would use us like that!!!!! I hope that you have a fantastic birthday and one KICK ASS Concert!!!! So wishin I was going to be there!!!! And when are you going to get your ASS to London, Ontario??? Thanks Kid!! U are truly a great person!! I also have been in the fan club for 4 years and had a hard time when tickets went on sale through the fan club because of these assholes!! I out smarted them and called the artist arena the following day and asked them if they would be releasing more and they said well we "may" be releasing more the day I called at noon. So I rushed to my computer and waited and I finally got my tickets on the stage!!! I said to myself screw it if Im going to see u its so worth it for the money especially at your 40th!!! When I was on the day the tickets went on sale I was soo pissed that I could not get into the site and looked on ebay and the fuckin tickets were already there at jacked up prices buncha assholes!!! So go get em Kid!! And ill see ya Jan 15th for the biggest show of your career!!!! Tina Holly,michigan

F HIM I say--I am PISSED--I am the one who will not be going to the "party"-It's my Birthday too--I have been part of the D rock scene 'forever'-I just can't undersatnd HOW-the scalpers do it--I guess neither can Kid nor his managers?? I know Iam a pc idiot--but seriously--BOB can't you hire a pc qeek??-It has really soured me on you-sucks-cause I love you -and I have few joys left in my life--One of them is seeing the hometown boys rock!-So I guess ihave to go over to Ted's & try to get him to "bash" us --ahhh the good old days when you had to stand in line & had a chance! I'll get over it BUT this is a bitter pill--I hope you keep workin on a solution-As for people waiting & not buying the tickets--hahahaha--nope people with bucks will still buy them to get to see you-& for them--IT will be worth it--I must say it ALWAYS IS!!! Thank you for posting this Kid. Being I am quite a fan, my daughter thought it would be a great Christmas present this year for me to get tickets to your birthday concert:) Woohoo. How exciting. Anyways, she was surprised and quite sad when she logged on at 10:02 and they were sold out....only to find them 10 minutes later on e-bay. It a shame that there are so many greedy people out there and they have no disregard for their fellow humans. Anyways, I am sure you will have a wonderful concert and I look forward to seeing tidbits on the news and youtube:) Have a most fantastic birthday. Thank you for being a great Michigander. a little note to scalper - see his comment below....................scalpers rip of hard working people, like you claim to be, so no sympathy or respect from me for what you do. i also am educated and care for children who have been molested, abused etc. it is a tough job..............but it is what i have chosen to do .....i do not try to make money off of other people on the side. Bob is one of the few entertainers that truly tries to keep cost down.......i can not imagine what the cost is to put on a show, pay all the people needed to run a tour as well as his band..............i dont know how he even made money selling his tickets for $20 last year ! all you and your fellow scalpers do is make it tough for hard working, average income people to enjoy attending events they love because you have the cash to buy up tickets first and then resell them. I hope you lose your ass every time ! Really, if you are so damn smart i am sure you can come up with another way to make some cash that doesnt feed off of others and isnt illegal.

My Idea, is to have your Brewing Co. buy them back. Then have a contest with secret shoppers go to all the Bars in the state of Michigan serving Bad Ass Beer. If you are lucky enough to be drinking Bad Ass beer at that time. You score Tickets! It would also be a great campaign, plus a tax deduction! And yes I would love the job!!!
