This is my fb friend Amy Jack. She lives in Toronto Canada,a huge kidrock fan, and is coming to detroit for the August 17th 2013 show at D T E. She and I have never met, but we will on that day.

There's no reason to work for the man in this wonderful country of ours. Just met with my husbands , now my business partner to go over the details of the new company . He and my spouse ave been working on patents for sometime and he's has quite a few and other ventures and seeing how he has some free time now we decided upon our venture of passive income bringing in about 15 g a day to start. I'm gonna be busy doing the marketing portion since I have all the contacts until it gets going and off the ground and then well, fishing, writing a few songs.
Love when the arenas, be it The Joe, Palace, Ford Field, or Comerica, play Boston's 'Can't stop Believing.' Each and every fan stands up and sings at the top of their lungs. "BORN AND RAISED IN SOUTH DETROIT." We have a Southwest side and a Southeast side, we have a Northwest and a Northeast side, but no South Detroit, that is why we sing that so loud, cuz our South Detroit neighbors are actually our fine neighbors whom live in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. So proud of the Wings tonight. WOW, we have to keep this game going. GO WINGS!!!

Kelly when I looked on the map, Sherwood's was about a block away from Bubba's-- then about a mile thru residential streets to the fair. Come and see us if you have time :)

Thanks for all of the suggestions everyone. I think we will park at Bubba's and walk to the fair--so I'll be at Bubba's from 4:00pm to 6:00 pm :) If I see Sherwood Cove on my walk, I'll stop in!!! Like I said I'll have our table info at the hostess area under KRC Val...look for the blonde with gold glasses, Made In Detroit black tee with rwb design, black pants (that will probably be everyone there that day-lol!!)

I can't wait for the show tomorrow night our little town of Allegan is going to rock. Some of us our getting together down at Sherwood's Cove before the show. It's also within walking distance of the fairgrounds and it too is a cool place to hang and a few drinks before the big night. Let's all have some fun!!!

I read in the Allegan flashes that it was kid rock with ty stone. You can youtube ty he sounds pretty good.
According to the MLive articles from today, there won't be any opening act or "special guest".
I'm the "Bart" that posts stuff on EKR, and I was basing that on a MLive article that said Sheryl Crow would open for him. That earlier article was from July 14 when the show was announced. Schedules must have changed since then.
Sounds like it's just Kid Rock for this show - but he seems excited to go to a new place in west Michigan....
Kerry - I haven't heard of any public Meet/Greet's on this tour. I think there are very few and are controlled by Jim Beam and/or Red Stag marketing group. Basically for distributors and corporate sponsors. A sure way to shake his hand and meet him is on the cruise. That's how we finally got our 10 seconds with him!
Val - I do remember having to park outside the fair and walking in on occasion - but that has been at least 10 years since I have been to a concert there. It would be a short walk and it might get you in/out faster!
If we are down there early, we will stop in to Bubba's. We are going with some friends now too - so I'm not sure when we are going to get to Allegan.
Anyone know of a possible meet n greet? would love to shake his hand and just say thnx! this will be the 7th time seeing him this year! I thought maybe i would get the chance last Thanksgiving...being in the halftime show and all, but never got the opportunity! Thanks for any info!

I was wondering if maybe the lady at the Fair that I talked to was trying to market Fair biz by getting ppl there early, but when I think of 12,000 ppl going thru 4 gates, I get nervous!
Since we are only a mile away from the fair at Bubba's (and since I know me, lol)..we'll probably end up staying a tad longer than 5:30...
And this country gal is used to all the sights, sounds and smells of a country fair--it's all good he hee

Bart and Mrs. Bart will be there too. We are taking our motorhome and we're going to tailgate in the parking area.
Allegan is a very small town. When people say "residential area" the fairgrounds are literally at the end of a neighborhood. Speed limit 25 mph for the last 2-3 miles. There will be plenty of police and I'm sure there will be extra sheriff patrols, along with the state police to help out too. The last time I was there, they had police on horses. Be careful and make sure you have a DD.
You may want to bring your noseplugs too. This is a "real" county fair - so there are plenty of animals and a big 4-H presence.
This is a quiet little country town, so just remember that. The locals don't get out much. I'm sure you will see all kinds of interesting stuff!

I found an old article from July on Mlive that said Sheryl Crow is opening, but that is the only article I have seen that says that. Who knows? She will be in Michigan next weekend for MI Fest too.
Our tickets are Track East, Row R....Should be great seats, but I haven't been to a show here in a long time - and I was in the grandstand for that.

Thanks krcval: I am trying to make arrangements to leave earlier. If I do get the chance to leave my store i will try my best to get to Bubba's.
Also i have not heard of anybody opening but there is talk of a special guest. Not sure who.

Update: I just called the Allegan Co. Fairgrounds to ask about openers for KR...the lady didn't have any info about an opener, so maybe none?
ALSO...she told me she has been telling ppl to get to the fairgrounds early (4:00 pm?) to get there in time for the show and parking! They are expecting traffic to be backed up on the highway bad, she said there are 4 gates to get in for parking, etc, and it will be very busy. I asked her our chances for going to Bubba's and then going to the Fairgrounds, and she still said get to the show early.
So this is what I am planning on doing...My pals and I are going to get to Bubba's at 4:00 pm and stay till about 5:30pm. Bubba's is a mile away from the fairgrounds, so it shouldn't be too bad getting there at that time. They don't take reservations, they said first come, first served, but I will leave info at the hostess station where the KRC VAL table is!! I'll try to get a larger table so if ppl want to show up and have a drink or something to eat, we can. I think that will be easier than trying to find each other at the grandstands, holding our beers.
420...I know this may not fit your time frame with work and all, but I'd try to get out earlier if you could so you are not stuck on the highway before the show.

JAY929RR.....I not 100% positive they have bike racks, but I am pretty confident they do. The fair grounds are just off of a residential area and I'm sure there are alot of kids that ride bikes there. Look up the Allegan County Fair website and give them a call.

hey alphine star, do u know if there is like a bike rack to lock up to at the fair? sounds weird but we are thinking of riding our bikes there from the campground
