We decided last night to get tickets and will be there. We are driving in for the show and then home. Gonna be a long day! Very excited. This will be our 4th show in 2011.

KRCVal......Im from the Allegan area. The best place to meet in Plainwell would be Rhino's in downtown Plainwell. Its only about a mile from the Comfort Inn. The best bar in Allegan would be Bubba's. Bubba's is about a mile from the fair grounds. To get to the fairgrounds from the main highway (US131) it will take about 25 minutes on a normal day, so with fair traffic, I would guess about 40 minutes. The route is through residential areas so it might take some time, but traffic usually moves pretty well. I would add an extra 20 minutes of wait time in traffic to be safe. You shouldn't have any trouble meeting up inside at the grandstand. You could meet in front of the grand stand box office. It is right by the entrance to the venue. Hope this helps.

i'm so pumped about this show! my first one in michigan! My girl and i are coming up from IL. and camping after the show since the hotels are so far away. i heard his beer will be there on tap too! yummy!

Imma hoping to hear from some of the local peeps to see if we should meet somewhere in Allegan at a watering hole, or just head for the fairgrounds and try to meet up at the grandstand areas. Not sure how bad the traffic getting into the show will be....anyone with info, let us know :) :)

KRCVal: As it stands now we won't be going but if anything changes I will let you know. It should be a fun atmosphere being at the fair and there's nothing like a roadtrip. Curious too if he plays a full set or if it's shortened.

I have to work till 8:30 on Saturday morning so I'm going to sleep for a few hours then me, my husband and another couple are headin west. We should be there around 4pm. The closest hotel I could find was a comfort inn in Kalamazoo. The one in plainwell was booked. Sounds like it's gonna be a good time!

Let's try to do it then. When more ppl who live around Allegan post, maybe they can direct us to a local hotspot :) We can post a between such-and-such time, etc. I should be able to get into town around 3:00 or so.. so I can help to save tables, etc. We're staying in Plainwell at the Comfort Inn 11 miles away..
I haven't been to the Allegan Fair b4 so don't know how diffficult it would be to find ppl inside.
My tickets say 7 pm, so don't know if there is an opener, etc? Hope he plays a full show..

I have track east- row Q I would like to meet up. I don't close my store until 5pm. By the time i go home and get ready and the drive there, I will probably get there at 6:30 or so. ( maybe i can close a little early if business is slow)

No beer tent guys, but beer inside the venue...do we want to try to get together at a bar beforehand in the Allegan area, my Allegan FC members? Or just meet inside show?
