With all this talk about a $20 tour and yes I see those dates....why do I have to pay over $160 for a single ticket on Sept. 21st ? (not including parking) I have already bought my 2 tickets for my wife and I, but it sure hurt the wallet on this one.

Awesome, Angel! Job well done. My sentiments exactly! I love the man, respect where he's been and where he's going, but have no desire to bed him down (I have an awesome hunk of a husband for that). You are quite talented.
As for the boat thing, Bob would probably say that's bs, he knows who his fans are regardless of weather they can lay down a couple thousand for a boat ride or a couple hundred for a concert, or choose to meet their families financial obligations (cudos to you on that). I think it takes a type of person to put themselves out there as BIGGEST FAN or REAL FAN. Seems selfish in my opinion (like an asshole, every one has one). I hope all those who would like to go someday, will reach their goal to get on that M* F* boat. I missed the first due to financial responsibilities (i.e. three girls 22, 16, 13) but started saving just after, missed the second, but will, God willing, be on the third after two years of saving.
Either way, you inspired me today, so thanks for that.

Degree, She has researched her field of study since she blew out her knee, She talked at length with her Doctor and Physician's Assistant, They both think she can go far and I hope that happens, May not, but we will be there for her. I love KR's music but I love my family more. And yeah education is important, very important.

I'm right there with you guys, school is so expensive! I worked since I was 12, doing all sorts of crazy jobs, ate all the ramen and whatever cheap food I could scrape up, and I spent much of my college years going to every single art/gallery opening anywhere near us because then I could have a glass of wine and a whole bunch of cheese, crackers, veggies and whatever other snacks they were serving~that was very often my dinner! I saw a *lot* art while I was going to school! lolol

I used to get a Diet Pepsi at Campus Corners for 50 cents and the clerk would always throw in a free bag of popcorn for me. THAT WAS MY LUNCH EVERY DAY my Junior and Senior year. I had NO money. I was skinny, though-LOL!
Yep Ramen noodles and a big bag of store brand cheerios would last a week. I cleaned at a hotel in the morning and would always take the left over pkgs of cream cheese, fruit, whatever. lol Thats how i survived. lol

My son and I went to Meijer yesterday and there were a bunch of college kids stocking up on food and supplies. He says to me, How many times did you go to the grocery store when you were in college, Mom? And I said not very often, I couldn't afford to. Ahh, the days of 5 for 99 cent chicken fritters, ramen noodles, and spaghetti (w/o the meat sauce of course)...and cheapa$$ stanky beer-Goebel (french pronunciation Jo-bell), Old Milwaukee (Old Swill), Colt 45 quarts (ugh, I know).
I like this forum because we CAN vent about things non KR related, (I do try to keep it to a minimum) but that being said, no shit Sherlock, my daughter came to us earlier and told us not to throw the bananas out, cuz they were turning brown, she wanted to try making Banana Bread!! Any way glad she likes to cook, and she is going to school to get her Physician's assistant degree, not to get her MRS. degree!!!

This ain't in no code, Ain't no way I will be affording a KR cruise in the near future. Just bought textbooks for my college freshman. 2 classes, 350 bucks. SUCKS. Still more to buy, advise to any parents w/ kids in college, SAVE, SAVE, SAVE, She has scholarships and grants, we are helping the best we can but FUCK what a racket, My oldest is a senior and hasn't had to buy books in about 2 years, A lot of his professors provide everything online for a small fee or for free. Thank god, but level 100 classes are never online, at least that is what I have learned. Lesson here comes from an old fart, forget college, tell your kids to sell textbooks. Sorry I had to vent somewhere. What a racket. Well get my kids out of higher ed, and then instead of us throwing a party for them, they buy a KR cruise for me and hubby, just saying, either that or I beg KR to pay for my kids education, and backstage passes, and a meet and greet. Sorry, signing off, I'm just rambling now.
