    Fans Upset About Ford Field Tickets And What Not......

    I am a musician. I did not attend college and barley made it out of high school. I try my hardest to keep my ticket prices low, THIS I HAVE CONTROL OF.!! I can not control nor do i understand how the fuck the scalpers and all the secondary websites and bullshit get them. IF I COULD CONFRONT EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM FACE TO FACE I WOULD AND IT WOULD NOT WORK OUT TO WELL FOR THEM I GAURANTEE ALL OF YOU. I hate them, i feel like someone is beating up a close friend or family member while im chained to a chair. I try to understand it, i try to ask my managers and people in the buisness i know to help me understand it, but it seems they dont either. The only way i know right now to stop it is to not buy from these people or wait till the last minute when there scared they cant sell em and have to sell them cheap. I am not gonna apologize for something i cant control and it you wanna hate or blame me for it, go for it. But if your really pissed about it, research it and try to find out why its going on and let me know. alot of us are trying to figure out a better way, trust me, the last thing i want is some bottom of the barrel lazy fuck who wont get a real job ripping off my fans to get rich. And no, this post was not consulted w my mangers or publicist, they would probly say not to post it, but thats not how i do things. This is right from my computer to yours. I hope it helps to understand at least how i feel about people trying to get tickets in my fan club or any other way that turns out to be a let down, THAT IS NOT MY INTENTION OR WHY I GOT INTO MUSIC AT ALL. Maybe i should shut down the fan club, because i dont want anyone to think im screwing them and i cant keep the "bottom feeders" from joining it, YET! I try to think of better ways to do things all the time, especially for the fans, but my main focus is always my son and then writing good songs, without those two things, nothing is happening. I will keep my mind spinning trying to figure out a better way to get good tickets to my true fans, and it brings to mind a new song on the new cd "the least that i can do is care" unfortunatley thats not gonna be enuff in this case. trust me im on top of this and doing what i can. thx

Kid, we know it is out of your control as most things in business are. It is good just to know that you care. We can only hope there is a special place in hell for people that try to take advantage of others. Keep doing what you do, we'll get a chance to see you one day!!

I, like Sonya, have used your music to get me through some really tough times. There have been too many times to count where I didn't know how I could get through them. But, over and over again I would put in a mixed CD of your various songs and they would inspire me to keep going. Your songs really speak to people. The first time I listened to your Rock 'N Roll Jesus album (I too like to listen to whole albums ;) I was on my way to work, as a Crisis Counsellor at a shelter for battered and homeless women, I cried (Amen) and I laughed (Twice As Hot). I love your music and I find myself singing "Your a rock 'n roll genius" instead of I'm a rock 'n roll Jesus.....:) My sister got me a ticket to your B-day party for Christmas. I can't wait. I'm hoping that maybe Bob Seger will show again (I was at Pine Knob that night - excellent!) I love you and I'll see you in Jan.

I have tried to get tickets to your concert for the last 3 shows here in Detroit with no success! I've seen your show twice and it was the best i've ever been to! So for fear that i would miss it once again, i purchased tickets from an ass hole scalper bc i had no other choice after sitting on the phone and internet with no luck! I paid $102 for $16 ticket everytime i think about it my stomach hurts:( I guess i get to be ther though so i'm excited, hopefully i'll get to see something from way up in the nose bleeds.

I have been quite upset about this BS for years and trying to figure out how the hell they do it also. I was searching the web two days before the pre-sale for the Fan Club, and ran across may tickets of sell on a "buy and sale" ticket site, then after I was signed in when the clock ticked down to buy my ticket through the club, buy the time I hit "send", it said "SOLD OUT!" I was very upset needless to say. I was wanting so very much to come to Detroit for your Birthday Bash and was going to spend $800.00 just to have a once in a life time expierience. The next day, I learned interesting information the "Citi Bank Credit Card holders, have a special password, which allows them to buy the tickets whether they are members of the fan club or not. Therefore, I believe that this is the biggest part of the problem; maybe not the entire problem but it has a lot to do with it. I just wanted to add that I have followed your music since before you cut your first CD. I have a casset made of you back then, ( and some pictures I would love to show Jr. one day :) )and you were awesome then and have only gotten better over all these years; out doing yourself with each new CD and it will never cease to amaze me. Your dedication to your son first, is the way it is suppose to be.I know that you care about your fans, and that there is much that is not within your control. In addittion, a TRUE fan would NEVER, blame you for ticket sales BS. They would still support you 100% as I do. As you stated so very well, we need to reasearch and investigate how the hell these people are getting these tickets instead of bitchin and I am going to do my part; working around school and this illness I am dealing with. Thanks for taking the time out of your busy schedule, and give us some feedback. Your true fans know what kind of person you are, and that you have no control of these damn tickets. I just want to say that I love how real you are, you are not some bullshit person that gives us bullshit answers. We get the real you 100% of the time, and for that I thank you. I would love to spend your birthday with you, as most of us would, I might not get tickets but damn I will be outside that damn arena just so I can say i was there. Do us fans a favor and have some real big ole shots for your birthday and remember us fans who truly want you to have the best birthday ever friend. I will continue to try and get some tickets until the very end.

Thank you so much for posting this.It truly makes me feel bettter to know how you feel and that you care so much. I am a Mother and grandmother and don't make a lot of money so I was so glad to see the prices... it took a bit of finangling but I had the money to buy 2 tickets for my son and his girlfriend for Christmas but I guess I'm just one of those who missed out due to greed. meanwhile I will try to win them for them as I love them so much and you are number 1 with them. hugs to you Kid Bobbie Herron Westland Mi.

Im very lucky I got my tickets to come see you and get to celebrate your 40th and my 40th too!!! Your fans know you have no control over that bullshit and we will always stand behind you. It really sucks that these fuckers make the money off you and your fans in that way. You have the Detroit/Michigan spirit and we all love you for it! I went online and called ticketmaster at 10am exactly and was unable to get tickets. This was after having a presale code and being unable to get them early either. Because I want to go to Kid's Bday bash so bad, I checked out stub hub and found 4 pages of tics for 3 times the price a half hour after the presale tics went on sale. It's because of thieving bastards like them that hard working people like me can't get tickets and that pisses me off!!! I refuse to pay 3 times the regular ticket price to lazy assholes who like to get rich by taking people like me for a ride!! It's the principle of the matter.....

I have to agree with Kim. Ticketmaster sucks. I really hope to get 4 tickets fot the Evansville Show for my Family's Christmas gift this year. Yes Kid you won out against all the game systems!!! Really does suck! I'm 47 years old & I haven't been to a concert in 16 years do to panic attacks & my Fibromyalgia. However, I was going to brave your Birthday Bash knowing that it would awesome to see you in concert & help celebrate your Birthday. You & I both have the right to be mad at people always trying to make a buck off someone else. I really love a lot of your newer stuff. I LOVE your new CD! Great job! Thank you for sharing you views, it makes all of us feel better that you feel this way. The one to blame is 100% Ticketmaster! They are the ones printing your tickets and obviously disbursing them. I would start with them. Please stop this. I have missed way to maybe concerts in my life because of these low life scalpers!! Back in 1980 I remember standing in line at good ole Harmony House almost all night long and being the 19th person in line. When the doors opened to buy tickets within 5 minutes all 5 shows for Val Halen were SOLD OLD! I never even got to the counter to get my 2 tickets! I have had a bitter taste in my mouth about concerts ever since then. Put a stop to this maddness just like Metallica did with NAPSTER! WE ALL LOVE YOU! I WISH I had 2 tickets to the show, but like many thousands of other true fans of yours... the FRIGGIN SCALPERS SCREWED US AGAIN! Keep rocking and TY for everything you do for Michigan! I would rather miss a show than to pad the pockets of these little f'rs...I don't know how it is in other cities, but at the Ryman and Bridgestone it's like little scum predators swarming. I would really like to see the law revert back to no scalping.

it sucks that there are soooo many people that are willing to screw someone else over to make a profit, i was fortunate to have been able to get tickets thanks to presale ,im sooo looking forward to celebratinng your 40th you !!! we go to all your shows and sometimes its very hard to get tickets fast enough,like the pine knob show in august, it was all sold out in the first 5 min untill you added the sunday show, thankfully we got those, but then the show was sooo over sold that you couldnt even move . any was , cant wait to see you, love your music, love your honesty, love you... will be sending lots of love from section 113... see ya soon !!!!!

I am a 44 yr. old mother of 2 teenagers and probably not your tipical fan. I Love your music and it has been an escape for me during some tough times over the past few years. My oldest put in Rock and Roll Jesus one day about 3 years ago and I was hooked. My dad was diagnosed with stage 4 Terminal Cancer and some other family things were coming apart at the seams. Your music touched me and helped keep me sane during that time. I have never been apart of a fan club until I joined yours and my kids think mama's lost it and gone around the bend. I hope you don't kill the fan club because it would be ashame for everyone to suffer for what a few are doing. Although I hate to hear anyone getting taken advantage of , I have to say if these people who are upset would all stop buying the tickets from the scalpers then there wouldn't be a market for it. You can't be responsible for everyone in the world's stupidity. I do have a suggestion how to stop it but maybe I don't understand what all is entalled because it seems simple. Give fan club members a special Ticket buying number for the fan club discount and limit the number of tickets that they can buy to like 4. It won't stop all of it but at least it will protect your fan club members. I also want to tell you how much I love the new CD. I haven't stoped listening to it since it came. Thank you for giving your fans the presale option. I wish you many blessings and pray for peace and harmony in your life. Thank you for all you do for your fans.

Is there a way to put a cap on how many tickets can be purchased at one time? I know that the brokers are most likely purchasing in large quantities. Honestly, your true fans are the ones buying less than 10 tickets in one transaction not 50+. We tried to get tickets but, well…you know what happened. Anyway...Happy 40th Birthday : )

Rock, I hate it too but thank you for the reply to our complaint. I had to buy from a site called Stub Hub. Stub Hub has a pic up point near the Fox where you pay to get your tickets. Stub Hub had almost 1000 of your tickets ready right before and after the 10 pm start. Maybe this wil help u stop these people and as for me Im a US Navy vet that cranked your music on the Aircraft Carrier i was on back in 98. Im a true fan that had to pay triple the face value to get the tickets!!!

The greatest gift you can give to your fans is the gift of music that comes from your heart & soul. You cannot control what others do & your true fans will not judge you by others' actions. I wanted to thank you for your comment about the scalpers. We had planned to buy tickets for each other for Christmas and then they were gone. Stub hub is selling them up to $15,000.00. Who in working class Michigan can afford that. Thanks for putting your fans first.

There will always be bottom feeders.... I've only purchased scalper tickets once. They were sold out in such a short time - but ten minutes after selling out they were already listed on eBay from 4 to 10 times the face value. Pissed does not begin to cover it! I did just what you recommended - I waited till the last minute and the scalper ended up selling them for less then she paid..... Karma can be a bitch huh?
