    Fans Upset About Ford Field Tickets And What Not......

    I am a musician. I did not attend college and barley made it out of high school. I try my hardest to keep my ticket prices low, THIS I HAVE CONTROL OF.!! I can not control nor do i understand how the fuck the scalpers and all the secondary websites and bullshit get them. IF I COULD CONFRONT EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM FACE TO FACE I WOULD AND IT WOULD NOT WORK OUT TO WELL FOR THEM I GAURANTEE ALL OF YOU. I hate them, i feel like someone is beating up a close friend or family member while im chained to a chair. I try to understand it, i try to ask my managers and people in the buisness i know to help me understand it, but it seems they dont either. The only way i know right now to stop it is to not buy from these people or wait till the last minute when there scared they cant sell em and have to sell them cheap. I am not gonna apologize for something i cant control and it you wanna hate or blame me for it, go for it. But if your really pissed about it, research it and try to find out why its going on and let me know. alot of us are trying to figure out a better way, trust me, the last thing i want is some bottom of the barrel lazy fuck who wont get a real job ripping off my fans to get rich. And no, this post was not consulted w my mangers or publicist, they would probly say not to post it, but thats not how i do things. This is right from my computer to yours. I hope it helps to understand at least how i feel about people trying to get tickets in my fan club or any other way that turns out to be a let down, THAT IS NOT MY INTENTION OR WHY I GOT INTO MUSIC AT ALL. Maybe i should shut down the fan club, because i dont want anyone to think im screwing them and i cant keep the "bottom feeders" from joining it, YET! I try to think of better ways to do things all the time, especially for the fans, but my main focus is always my son and then writing good songs, without those two things, nothing is happening. I will keep my mind spinning trying to figure out a better way to get good tickets to my true fans, and it brings to mind a new song on the new cd "the least that i can do is care" unfortunatley thats not gonna be enuff in this case. trust me im on top of this and doing what i can. thx

I am grateful that you are willing to say it the way you feel it. I have been a huge, but quiet fan of yours for many years. I pay attention to what is going on, and it does sadden me that I feel like 'why try calling for tickets, it won't happen anyway'. So I buy the CD's and listen to the radio to enjoy your music. I do hope that someday, someone will figure out how to fix the ticket problems. In the mean time just know that you do have great loyal fans, and this fan is proud to play Kid Rock music loudly when I sit around the fire in my Oxford back yard! When your in town feel free to stop in and just chill. Seriously we would love to have ya.

Its totally not your fault. Im in the same predicament. Missed the presale and now im looking on ebay and the prices are crazy. What a bunch of bullshit how these people buy up the tickets cuz they have money and then scalp um. I need tickets for the Detroit show and I dont want to buy from these assholes so if anybody has any advice for me let me know!!!

Check out this link, went on to what I thought was Ford Field but actually a 'reseller' whatever claptrap that is. The tkts in my section are $188 -$403 each, I paid $350 for 4 (Xmas gift for the fam) just put your cursor over the green sections, and it tells you what the scalpers price is... DISGUSTING. You don't need to apologize to anyone! Like it's your fault that people have tickets on sale on e-bay even before your presale starts!? I saw it with my own eyes..row numbers and seat numbers...I say WTF..those are the people that need to be looked into! I was fortunate enough to get tickets. Don't take everything to heart that is said you are a god to alot of us but you can't control everything like some people obviously think:) Keep doing the great things you do for the D and look forward to seeing the Fordy show! By the way loved the sale for Black Friday weekend on Made in Detroit website!

We were some of your fans (my husband who is 65 and loves you music) who did not get tickets. We understand that you had no control. But maybe if you could limit how many per purchase or so many per account. Maybe Ticketmaster, should not be allowed to sell to these groups for the first 8 hours that ticket go on sell. All entertainer are going to have to ban together do stop this. One person alone can't. We hope you have a great birthday in January. Wish we could have jointed you.

You are truly a down to earth American guy. It does suck that so many people out there take advantage of the hard workers. I am so sick of seeing that myself. Just remember Kid, karma is a bitch with a vengence. They will get theirs one of these days. I love your music. When I am at my friend Lee's house we always watch a dvd of yours (filmed in Germany I think), drink and dance to it. It's a blast. Your music makes me want to get up and move. Now I am a big girl (wasn't always like this) but I can still get a move on when I want to. I can't wait to see you in Wichita, Ks. I will be there one way or another and I will not buy from any scalpers. I would really like to meet you when you come. This is going to be one hell of a party. You ROCK!!!!!!!

hey it's not ur fault, i haven't read any posts form other ppl, but i really appriciate u taking the time to write that, 3 friends and i went to Chicago from Iowa in july to see u perform, u were awesome. it happens at every concert and why ppl get upset with the bands for scalpers is beyond me. I still think you are awesome, and u need to come to iowa and do a show. Love your new cd. keep up the good work. your awesome!!

It all comes down to the person paying top dollar from the scalper and creating the demand. As long as people are willing to pay scalper price, the scalpers will continue selling. It happens every year around Christmas time with certains toys. The hot toys get gobbled up by greedy people trying to make a buck by reselling them and some poor kid at home just wanted a $10 tickle me elmo doll. God Bless American but it comes down to American Greed. BOYCOTT ALL SCALPERS. I wish I could buy 100's and give them away.

I was online at 10:01 ordering tickets for my daughter and her boyfriend for Christmas. Unfortunately, I didn't buy any for myself. I should have tried to order 4 instead of 2. Now they're gone and I am stuck at home. At least they are getting an awsome Christmas present from us. I had talked to my brother prior to this and he was told that the tickets were gone before they were even on sale. He said a guy from work said they were selling for over $1,000.00 on ebay. Something just doesn't seem right about this.

Yeah, this scalper shit sucks. They did the same thing this past summer when you did the three shows back to back at DTE. I tried two months in advance to get tickets to anyone of those shows and tickets were sold out at the official ticket outlets, yet found them on sale on other websites triple the box office price. I knew then it was scalpers. Of course, I couldn't afford to pay their price. Additionally, I didn't want to make them rich reselling your tickets. Makes me sick. Assholes. Especially since DTE is such a huge outside venue and my favorite venue besides. I have seen you twice, but they were smaller concerts in Toledo. The old Sports Arena and Seagate Center. I hope I will be able to get tickets to your Jan 26th show at The Huntington Center. The tickets go on sale the day before my birthday. Seeing your show would be the highlight of my year. Love ya! PS: Thank you for caring darlin' and please, please don't shutdown the Fan Club Site and don't resort to gettin' too crunk...LOL:) Just kidding.

Bobby, Maybe it would help to have your people consult Steve Wynn. When he signed Garth Brooks to play for him , they guaranteed no scalping. I have been to see Garth, let me tell you, the process of getting tickets is amazing. Printed wristbands with names, checked by security with ID before entering venue. You must show ID and they print your wristband on the spot. You can NEVER purchase more than 4 tickets ...and this is Vegas, usually you can find someone who knows someone to circumvent any rule. I can honestly tell you, whatever system they have in place works. There are NO tickets out there on the street. You buy them from the wynn or you don't see Garth. Just some thoughts and a direction for you to possibly explore. I hear your frustration, anger and passion in this matter. Thought maybe this could help your frustration. I ALWAYS Feel it, although didn't feel you on this last CD, felt Rick Rubin and he isn't the passionate man that sings to me....sorry, just mho. Mandia Shaw

Ran security for kid at 98 RockFest In May 11 2008 in Tampa Fl...... Outdoor Festivals are the best no need for seat sections all tickets General admission see what scalpers can do with those..... KID and Stephanie were so laid back>>>> Has been to Tampa for every album..... closest i have seen so far is Orlando for this album Dont forget us.... One of the best things about Rockfest was my crew running scalpers off in the parking lot for trying to sell tickets (over priced) and fake concert shirts screen printed in a hotel room the night before where the ink was washing off.( Kid Rock =Three Doors Down=Serj Tankian=Filter=Theory of a Deadman=Shinedown=Saving Abel)

Hey Kid, I just about fell off my chair when I made it through the ticket line totally expecting the system to be jam packed with theiving scalpers. That's what they are. It's sinful and we all pay the price. I'm glad you and other artist are concerned. I think that's where it starts. JUSTJEN says devise a plan and keep it under the radar. She's right. Maybe it's a grassroots effort on the part of the artists and keeping some of the business people out of it. The more people that understand the ticketing system the better chance of manipulation. It may just be a good brainstorming session with the most absurb ideas to find one that works. Somebody has a great idea to control this situation, it's just getting the right people in the room and it's usually the lower-level employees that are brilliant but unheard. I bought these tickets as a Christmas present for me and my boyfriend. We have wanted to see you for the last couple years up to Boyne but couldn't make it. We saw you sing with Cheryl at DTE this summer and made a decision that you would be our next show. I totally did not expect this big bash to be the one but fI hadn't got through on the lines we wouldn't be going as I would not give my cash to a parasite scalper regardless of how bad we wanted to go. Also, thanks for loving Detroit and showcasing Michigan in your work. This state rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi neighbor! There are some really good ideas given here, some I think would really work! In your note you mention you should just shut down the fan club, I think that would NOT be a good idea at all or really solve anything. Just keep trying to figure out a way to stop this from happening and things will be good, your a smart guy and you will figure this out! I can tell your frustrated and that your fans mean a whole lot to you, but really, this site is what we have from you and we believe in you! Anyone who has been to one of your concerts or seen you perform KNOWS how much you care about your family, fans and friends so dont get mad just get even with the scalpers out there and do the best you can to fix it! I BELIEVE, WE BELIEVE, JUST KEEP ROCKIN!
