We were at the Tigers game tonight as the no hitter was happening, I never mentioned it, neither did my son or husband, we know better, but someone didn't cuz Anibal Sanchez pitched an unbelievable game tonight, and was robbed of the no hitter with 2 outs to go in the top of the ninth, by no less than Joe Mauer. UGH, but brilliant pitching by Sanchez. FYI for the baseball newbies, NEVER MENTION NO HITTER WHILE A NO HITTER IS HAPPENING!!! I don't buy into jinxes but I buy into this one.
fridays are fine with me....my husband can't fire me....cause then he would have to do all the work! LOL ...talk about job security....
I am off work September Friday the 23rd then work late on Sat the 24th and 25th. Don't have a schedule from work for the 30th.
I sure hope that we can truly get together as Comerica did not work out for many of us. I was disappointed not being able to me all of you.
Have fun KRLO.
I can go anytime, in fact going there tonight before J Geils.
Perhaps a Friday? In September I can do 23 or 30th. Any Friday in October is good for me, too, assuming Fridays are good for everyone else. If not, throw out Saturday and weekday dates at me and I'll check to see.
i didnt know the woodshop served food. i thought it was just a bar.
last time i went by the cafe during lunchtime, and dinner they were pretty full.
so maybe in between in the afternoon we could hit both places, get a bite to eat at the cafe, and then go have a drink at the woodshop. not sure how everybody's schedule is as far as work goes though.
but around 2-3pm would be a good time. .
here are the hours for the woodshop: Mon-Thu 4 pm - 10 pm. Fri 4 pm - 11 pm. Sat 12 pm - 11 pm
well...somebody start throwing out some dates... for lunch...

Sorry, had a couple glasses of wine in me last night and just had to chime in...I was talking about the woodshop. The salad with bar-b-que pork and cherries is really good...my fav. We watch "triple d" all the time. Wonder what they cooked.
im assuming you mean the cafe
They serve it there. and the cherry salad is great!
yeah ill hang out, and maybe even try a badass beer if we go to the woodshop. im sure they serve it there lol
Either works for me...Ace, are you in?
A weekday or a weekend?
the union cafe, and the union woodshop are two separate places. ive eaten at the cafe, but never went to the woodshop due to the fact that i dont drink lol.
It'll take me about 45 mins. to get to Clarkston but you gals let me know the date and time and I will be there!! This could be a fun get-together.
Perhaps if we ALL went...
That would be awesome to be sittin there and have him juss come in tho. When I got to see him at The Machine shop we were all hopin before or after his show he'd of been mingling around the bar since it was a private it show but no luck as soon as over limo pulled away.. would love to be able to meet him some day, not a crazed fan lol just think it be awesome to be able to tell him in person how appreciate for the way he represents Detroit and Michigan
ROAD TRIP!!!!!
well...I am more than 5 mins away... but it is never hard to talk me into a road trip?
RSMS, I would love to have lunch w/ you guys and finally meet. I'm 5 minutes away, after I saw all the stuff on TV and the newspapers, I got a hankering for mac and cheese and their cherry salad. Haven't been there in a while. Prolly a 2 hour wait after this airs. UGH. I went to the post office in Clarkston this morning, I saw all the news trucks and wondered what was going on. Turns out if I waited a few minutes longer, I would have seen him cruisin in his droptop '67 Lincoln Continental. Oh well story of my life.
@ Mrs. Cedar, he has the best bruschetta recipe on the face of this planet, Our friends love it.
@Tigers42 been there a bunch, never have seen him.
lunch anyone?
I ? Guy Fieri! ...we watch his show all the time...
