As always Kid Rock was awesome! I never miss a hometown concert with the man!
I do have a question after I explain what I went through last night.
I purchased VIP tickets for his show Saturday night (8/13/11) at Comerica Park through his fan club presale. I picked up the tickets at will call, picked up the jerseys at Fox Theatre. I went through the storm, fought the crowds to get back down on the field. Went through h*** and back once we got down to the field because we were never given VIP wristbands! I had my hard tickets in hand, not just an email confirmation, the actual $250 VIP tickets in hand and had to argue with everybody and their brother down there to let us to our seats! It was the most ridiculous fiasco I have EVER been through and missed a big portion of the concert because of this! They would not allow us to go to our seats without the stupid wristbands and every Comerica employee that we asked for help said they didn't know where we can get them but we can't go to our seats without the wristband. I was threatened to be kicked out 3 times by one employee because I was trying to explain to him that I have my tickets, I paid almost $600 for them and he was not allowing me to go to my seat without a wristband!!! Did I say I had my tickets? Yes, I did ... OMG, I had the actual tickets in hand!!!!
In no way whatsoever, do I Blame Kid Rock for this and no matter what I WILL ALWAYS GO TO A KID ROCK CONCERT but it was the most awful experience that a VIP ticketholder and Fan Club member should never have to go through that at a concert. I argued with so many people that I truly had tears in my eyes and could not believe that I was threatened to be removed from the area when I had actual tickets in hand!!! Tell me what to do, do I write a letter to Comerica or what???
And one more time, I want to reiterate, I love KID ROCK!! This is not a complaint about the man!
As a Member of the Fan Club and after spending that kind of money, I have to wonder why I haven't gotten an answer on here! Where and to who can I complain about this to?
At the carb day indy Kid Rock show, the asshole next to me whipped it out and peed right where he was standing. Splashed on my fuckin boots. and the portopottys werent that far.. so thats always an option....
We believe you, Marybeth, no worries...
I did just about pee my pants waiting to get out of Comerica at the McCartney show...it's nice to try to support downtown by having a show there, but definitely some things to think about..lol Angel!!!
lol Angel.
Dear Comerica, Because you cant come up with a better way to make sure everyone has what they need to get in and out of there seat... From now on , we will sneak our own booze in, we will wear depends and at the end of the show we will remove them and leave them under our seats for you to deal with...
Kid Rock Fans always find a way...
We went through the same thing back in January. It totally sucked, no one could tell me where to get the wristband, only that I couldn't get to my seats. This weekend, I did get the wristband, however, no one informed us that we needed additional wristbands in order to buy alcohol on the field. Even though I am over 40, had my id with me, they wouldn't serve me! I was pretty livid, until I asked a nice guy to buy me a drink...The second night we got both wristbands, then went to the concourse to buy a beer, showed the wristband, and were told we didn't need them! All in all the shows were GREAT! Employees need to be more informed....Going to Chicago Friday!!! See you Friday Bobby!!!
And again, I still love KID ROCK and don't blame this on him or the fan club!!! xox
There was no table that we saw. We even walked back and forth there trying to get to the bathroom. the guys that wouldn't let us in said they didn't know where to get em but we should have had them. It just wasn't right to pay that much money and have tickets in hand and not be able to go to my seat just because of a wristband. THe guy that was threatening to kick me out, as I was trying to explain to him that I have my tx we were not going to go anywhere but our seats until concert was over...just told me to "Shut UP before I kick you right out of here..." Then my sister was trying to talk nice to him and he told her that he didn't even want to hear her voice!!! OMG!!! It was unreal!! After being pointed in 20 (no lie, no exaggeration) yes, 20 different directions, one lady said they don't have anymore orange VIP wristbands and put on a plain green one on us with her initials....and she had to walk us directly up back to that guy to let us in.,...but come on, by that time I missed part of the concert already!!!!!
This happened to my son and his girlfriend. They missed the table with wristbands and got to the main floor when someone noticed. That person was cool and just gave them the bands no hassle. This was Fri. night. Maybe a differant crew was working. What a pain but by writing to Comerica hopefully changes will be made for the next big event.
But thats just me I have no problem naming names and poking a eye out to state facts...thats just How I roll and some PEEPS know that dont cha know...get a name ...Point your finger...I have noticed that people dont know WHO to POKE and then wave thier pointy finger Wildly in the AIR ..hey that pointy finger could land In any passer bys eye that isnt even vaguely involved...
they should of been put in a little envelope and stapled to the tickets...then tickets and wristsbands are together NOBODY to do such a task...LAY it on me I can staple stuff together ;) sorry Marybeth that happened to you dear NOBODY on this GREEN earth should have to deal like this after forking out 600 hundred dollars I.O.W...six trips to the grocery store. Id be BLAMING somebody.
That is too bad Marybeth...someone should have at least been able to tell you where to go to get your wristband, or radio someone to ask. Did you finally get to sit in your seats?
When I went to McCartney a few weeks ago, the wristband table was right after you entered the stadium, like RSMS said, but we almost overlooked it--it was crowded with ppl, and only 1 person was working it then.
The vip wristbands were given out immediately after you entered the stadium. I bet you didn't see the table because you came in with a crowd. There was enough room on the sides of the table to get by without seeing them if you weren't looking. Just thought I'd give you the fyi so when you talk to Comerica, you can explain how easily it would have been for someone to miss going directly to the table and getting one. Sorry it was a fiasco for you.
We didn't notice people with them right a way, but I did ask at the will call window..."Just tickets, no vip laminate or lanyard" and was told "nope" and I again asked "really, nothing different for VIP?" and she said "Nope, just your tickets, you got there". So I didn't think anymore of it until we went through Hell down on the field!!! The people working couldn't even tell us, all they said was we couldn't go to our seats!!!
i wonder why you weren't informed of the wristbands when you picked up the tickets, or at the time of purchase, did you ask anybody with a wristband where they got theirs?
