Not Knocking The Other Shows - But This Is So True
    Cheryl J - Logansgram says (14 Aug '11)

    •  I have been to 3 Kid Rock Concerts this year.    Dow Center (Saginaw MI.), John LaBatt Center (London Ont.), and Detroit Comerica Park).
    • I know that everyone says that the concert they went to is the best they have ever seen from Kid.
    •  But it is not a joke when he says it himself.  AIN'T NO PARTY LIKE A DETROIT PARTY.

    •  The proof was in the pudding so to say on Friday at Comerica.
    •  Just to see the enjoyment he gets from his hometown crowd makes me proud to be from Michigan and to have Kid Rock in our area.
    •   He was right on.
    •  Voice was strong and there was so many laughs and smiles from the man he was truly in his  element and it showed.
    •  He was truly fired up so to speak.

    Thanks for the great time.

I really want to see him in Detroit at some point, but it never fits our schedule. We saw him at the Bridgestone last winter and in the spring when he dropped in at the Seger show. He was more relaxed at both of those shows than the other times we've seen him in other places. There is a difference in attitude when he's in his element. My only other favorite moment with him at a show was when the Hawks brought the Stanley Cup out for him to visit in Chicago and he ordered them to have it waiting full of beer after the show because it was going back to Detroit and just on vacation in the Loop. That was when he was touring with Bon Jovi and stole the show from them!

His concerts are like your children. You love them all but for different reasons because each is unique in its own way.

Sherry73, I went Friday also, and also went to his 40 Field concert. I didn't come away w/ any disappointment. Ford Field was maybe meant to be one show, he simply will not duplicate. but I think this weekends concerts were meant to be different, and keep this weekend centered on the D, no different artists, except the exceptional Rev. Wendall Anthony. Just a difference of opinion, but glad you enjoyed every ounce of it.

I went Friday night. You could not have asked for a better night. Great weather, great crowd, Sammy ROCKED and Kid was amazing as always.

I have to admit, I was also at the 40th Birthday Bash at Ford Field and THAT show cannot be topped. That was the most amazing display of a party I have ever experienced. Because it was that great, I could not help but feel just a tad of disappointment with Friday's show. Dont get me wrong....it was a great show, but I dont think he can top the 40th birthday bash! I hope he proves me wrong one day.....

Rock on!!!!!!

I saw Jr. too, but at the carnival Friday before the show. I didn't go up to him or anything and let him have his fun without being exposed (although you couldn't miss his big ole body guard-lol).

OH, one more thing, wish I could have met some fellow KRC members.

Went both Friday and Saturday...both shows were fantastic, but for some reason it felt to me that something was missing; just can't put my finger on it. It could be the last concert I went to was the "Frickin 40 birthday bash" at Ford Field and no concert will ever be that great. I took my 10 year old son to Saturdays show a few people told me how awesome it was that he wanted to go, but there were a few people that were giving me nasty, nasty looks.

Bad ass bitch from the D's picture

I went to friday nights show and as always, it was amazing! We were in GA right behind JR and his friends. He is such a cutie. After the show he posed for a couple pictures for us!! That was so sweet of him. One day I hope to meet his daddy! lol

@Ajay by all means this was meant to knock anyone that does not live in Michigan. It is just the fact that I see the differences in shows that I have been to this year. Saginaw is in Michigan and it was great too. I am just saying he feels comfortable with his surroundings and shows the passion that he has for Detroit. I am sure that most artist are this way in their own so to say stomping grounds (roots). Bob gives it all no matter where he plays it is just his nature to take care of his fans.

I am glad y'all had a great time and glad it was a great show. Some of these days i will have to make my way to Detroit. But i gotta say the rest of us ain't chopped liver just because we aren't in Detroit or Michigan....

Some damn good ppl are from other places in the Midwest....

I went both days, row 11 both sides of the stage. Angel, I thought of you when he took his shirt off. Anyway, both nights were something special. I have to say, he seemed to be more relaxed the second night. He made a comment at Saturday's show that Friday's concert was a ''school night," referring he wouldn't party afterward and he was all business. He seemed "lighter" on Saturday and showed his playful side. Both concerts were amazing. I kept looking back at the entire park, taking in the sight and seeing what he was seeing. I will treasure the memories. He brought such life downtown. TBT was spectacular as usual. He has the best damn band on the planet. I held up a sign that read "Detroit Loves You" and he saw it as he walked the catwalk, and I made sure when he
left the stage, to hold it up high for the band and the back up singers. We love them all!! And lastly, Cheryl, it was so nice to meet you.

So glad you had a great time, Cheryl!! I was worried about the weather for all of you, but if you went on Friday, you probably didn't get rained on :)

Very good show, awesome performance, the only down side is Comerica is so big, the huge gap from the floor to the bowl, makes the stage so far from the seats, feels like you not even part of the concert, we were even on the floor way up and had a hard time seeing. I enjoy a smaller Venue, such as Saginaw with the Dow or a Van Andle, even Dte ... but defititly cant knock his performance, awesome.
