    Fans Upset About Ford Field Tickets And What Not......

    I am a musician. I did not attend college and barley made it out of high school. I try my hardest to keep my ticket prices low, THIS I HAVE CONTROL OF.!! I can not control nor do i understand how the fuck the scalpers and all the secondary websites and bullshit get them. IF I COULD CONFRONT EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM FACE TO FACE I WOULD AND IT WOULD NOT WORK OUT TO WELL FOR THEM I GAURANTEE ALL OF YOU. I hate them, i feel like someone is beating up a close friend or family member while im chained to a chair. I try to understand it, i try to ask my managers and people in the buisness i know to help me understand it, but it seems they dont either. The only way i know right now to stop it is to not buy from these people or wait till the last minute when there scared they cant sell em and have to sell them cheap. I am not gonna apologize for something i cant control and it you wanna hate or blame me for it, go for it. But if your really pissed about it, research it and try to find out why its going on and let me know. alot of us are trying to figure out a better way, trust me, the last thing i want is some bottom of the barrel lazy fuck who wont get a real job ripping off my fans to get rich. And no, this post was not consulted w my mangers or publicist, they would probly say not to post it, but thats not how i do things. This is right from my computer to yours. I hope it helps to understand at least how i feel about people trying to get tickets in my fan club or any other way that turns out to be a let down, THAT IS NOT MY INTENTION OR WHY I GOT INTO MUSIC AT ALL. Maybe i should shut down the fan club, because i dont want anyone to think im screwing them and i cant keep the "bottom feeders" from joining it, YET! I try to think of better ways to do things all the time, especially for the fans, but my main focus is always my son and then writing good songs, without those two things, nothing is happening. I will keep my mind spinning trying to figure out a better way to get good tickets to my true fans, and it brings to mind a new song on the new cd "the least that i can do is care" unfortunatley thats not gonna be enuff in this case. trust me im on top of this and doing what i can. thx

Hey Kid... Here is what I have learned, being a fan of many artists... Rascal Flatts fan club does it best. Fan club seats are sold for 24-48 hours and are within the first 15 rows at every concert. You are allowed to buy 2 per concert/fan club membership. You are given a confirmation number and you are NOT given your seats or location of your seats until the day of the show when you pick up the tickets. I am sure scalpers can pick them up the day of the concert and still scalp them, but it will only give them 6 hours to do it in and for 2 tickets it's not worth it. Also, if you see someone online selling tickets and listing them as "in the front 15 rows" but not giving seats, you can make a deal with them just to find out the name of the seller and remove them from the fan club without refund and confiscate their tickets... Also, Encore casino in Vegas, which is where Garth does his shows, will not give out tickets until the day of the show, and you must give both persons names when purchasing tickets. On the day of the show, both attendees must show ID and have a wrist band attached to them. When entering the arena, they have to show their ticket and wrist band. If you are not the person who is listed on the tickets, they go back on sale to the general public. Sure, this may be a hassel for the fan club to sell tickets this way, but it's a guarantee, your fans will be up front, paying face value, and appreciate their seats and the rockin' show you put on... In a perfect world, tickets shouldn't go on sale until the day of show... That way, no one has an advantage. Why do we need our tickets 3-4 months in advance? Or better yet, sell the front 15 rows the night of the show and sell the rest of the arena 3 months out.

I haven't heard anything about the Grand Rapids presale yet and tickets hit the public on Saturday. I hope the whole Ford Field mess hasn't changed the fan club opportunity at Van Andel?? The scalpers/ticket resales are a mess. On top of their horrible prices their ticket descriptions aren't always right on either so you don't necessarily even get a great seat. We loved you at DTE this summer, Comerica Park last summer and Grand Rapids before that. I'm so looking forward to this show I hope I can get a great seat!!!!!! YOU ROCK!!!!!

Any chance of opening another show that weekend? PLEASE?? I was on time online as usual but the site was jammed and I lost out :( this will be the first show in over 10yrs that I will miss. Thinking of getting tickets for Toledo but would much rather see u at home!

I'm still thinking about this... This is probably remedial, and others have mentioned it, but ya know, the cruise was sold by the whole token thing, and there was limit to how many you could purchase. There was no way for scalpers to get a hold of a mass quantity to re-sell. maybe a system like that would work for the fan club? and honestly, I'd be a part of the fan club regardless. If it didn't have any pre-sales but had a chat room and a forum I'd still do it. :-)

I would gladly pay whatever price for a front row seat: as long as my $$$ was going to you and/or charity... As far as online tix sales: these scalpers have friends who work at artist arena, and ticketmaster.. they can buy more than the alloted 4 ( on KRC presales)... I've seen them online saying they have 8 front row tix.. ONLINE PURCHASE with WILL CALL day of show: MUST SHOW ID/ CREDIT CARD!!!! Not many scaplers actually live in the venue... reducing many of these!!!!

Audit those sales, especially the KRC ones! That's the first step to get on this. Blow up their scalper world and they will be afraid to pull this shit again with you! You going to have to go old school because they know tech and hacking like you know turntables. "Noone cuts faster than the Master Blaster." I have an idea, but if it goes public it'll NEVER work. It has to happen under the radar just like their buying KRC memberships has happened. Beat them at their own game and do it like a ROCKSTAR because that's what you are! Also, PLEASE come back to Boyne this year! I've never made it and my Godfather lives 10 minutes from the mountain and I'd love a trip that far north this summer. I have been freaking out because I found several of your tickets for sale already, and as much as I love your music, I just can't afford it on a journalist's salary. :O( But I'm glad to know cheaper tickets will go on sale soon! If I could afford it, I'd pay big bucks no questions asked!! Can't wait to see your show in Memphis!!

We ALL know that its not your fault and what you do to US , I am not sure, how to ever thank you for that. The biggest problem always will be, that if there is something loved and people want it, there will always be someone else, trying to rip them off. Many Musicians face the same problem and find themselves in shoes like yours! The difference is that some of them even dont care about the problem and finding a solution like you are trying to do. As you said, if we dont feed those sharks, sooner or later, they ll look for something else to sell. As for the quick sold out artist arenathingy, i still believe, that the server was simply overloaded. As many others we got frustrated thinking, that we ll spend our weekend home in detroit but wouldnt be able to celebrate with you and your friends. We noticed that tickets would open up again and when I tried the next day, I could book the tickets. Good for us, but I only believe its true, when I have the Tickets in my hand. ;-) As for what Amy D said... I wouldnt mind picking up my ticket ( actually I would prefer, to do that right at the venue at all times ) as long as I can purchase it over the internet. Sometimes you are simply not able to do the old Ticket wait and buy in line. So "Bless" the Internet. :-) As for the fanclub. please dont shut it down. I never complaint, never will, but the first hand info is really highly appreciated. thank you. If I am again in the BrainStormingModus and I get the right Idea about the do's and how do's, I ll let you or your Team know on how to stop the fucking sharks.

I am not gonna lie, I am really bummed that I didn't get a chance to buy tickets to your Birthday party. I know it is not your fault. You do everything you can for your Fans, your Community, and Our Country. I heard on Bob and Tom that the show sold out in 19 minutes. That is testiment to what a amazing musician you are and how much your music touches peoples lifes. It has always amazed me the vast age range of people that are at your shows and how your music brings us all together. I hope you can figure out a way to get back at those scalping douche bags. I am hoping to get tickets to the Grand Rapids show. Hopefully you will come back to Boyne Mountain this year. I hope you have a wonderful time at your Birthday bash and dont let the douche bags bring you down. Thank you for posting how you feel on you page, it means a lot. You can make a huge difference on this issue by getting others like you (start with Prince, he's a rabble rouser and Midwesterner too) to lobby to make ticket resale scalping illegal and define what that means in the law. Add to the law that law enforcement gets to keep all illegal funds from breaking the law and you will see enforcement go through the roof. THAT would be a popular law since you could do sports fan a huge favor too. Go for it - one person with a voice that can be heard can make giant difference. 'Bout time someone with some stones went after this issue.

I appreciate you coming on here to post to your fans the level of frustration you feel about brokers, loser scalpers and the like...I'm sure you aren't the first artist to have to deal with this, and I'm sure there's hundreds of reasons why these things happen. I know, for instance, it was my own stupid computer that caused some of my issues with getting the Fan Club pre-sale tickets. I was able to get them, but trust me, I was a bit stressed out! Keep doing what you're doing, and thanks for putting out the message to all of us.

Now to anyone who has or knows of someone that has 6 tickets for sale. I am willing to pay 2x the face value of the tickets for Ford Field. When we heard Kid Rock was performing his 40th at Ford Field I cancelled a trip to Jamaica for my birthday, because I would rather take a few close friends and celebrate my 40th with Kid Rock. So we cancelled our Jamaica reservation, booked hotels and transportation to Detroit Ford Field, but came up short on tickets. Since I am paying for everyone I can not afford the huge mark ups on these tickets. If someone has a heart and feels like doing a good deed and get the satisfaction knowing they are selling the tickets to a huge kid rock fan then please contact me at jhk1230@yahoo.com and make my birthday wish come true.

Bob, There is ways of combating these scalpers. Yet most artists/musicians usually leave this up to management, We all know where that leaves the fans. It's great to see a musician say what is on his mind and not worry about the management or publicists. If you are serious about combating this issue I would say, contact one of the people I have seen actively trying to help artists like you take more control over ticketing issues. I think it is great you acknowledge you are aware of the situation. Yes its true there will always be scalpers but I think the real points to address are 1. How is this a sold out show when EVERY website has 100's of tickets for sell, the only one who is sold out is ticketmaster...hmmm 2. How do the other websites have 100's of tickets for sale, when supposedly the tickets have not even gone on sale to the public. 3. Right now Van Andel in Grand Rapids, MI tickets are for sale once again on every website but yet they supposedly dont go on sale to the public though ticketmaster until Dec 4th. It is frustrating and I am willing to pay double the ticket price but not 5x. We have attending everyone of your Michigan concerts and never once got tickets though ticketmaster. You are right though one week before the concert ticket prices will drop because they have for every other Michigan concert. Crossing our fingers and praying to God we get tickets for Ford Field..we have all are other reservations in place, just need tickets :)

Thanks for looking out for us..I wouldn't expect anything less from you, that's why you are loved by your fans. I am one of the many who was not able to get tickets. I did check craigslist but, like you've stated, the price is just too high when you have a family to feed. Still luv you tho! Maybe Grand Rapids!

why are the tickets so high for tickets in Feb in Kansas city, $250-555.00 for lower level Yes there are 74.00 tickets if you want to sit in nose bleed. this is thru the sprint center website which should not be scalpers it's the venue I don't call that low priced. We were wanting to buy tickets until we saw the prices. At first I wondered if you were getting full of yourself???? We love you and want to see you but can't go broke doing it. Not sure what to think

Wow - that's keeping it real, guess that's why you have so many TRUE FANS & this is just one of the reason why you deserve it! Anybody that has ever attended one of your shows, KNOWS... you always keep the ticket prices affordable for your fans, especially in times like these. One show, no joke, I felt I didn't pay enough for the show I attended, amazing, what an awesome experience! Take this situation, most Artists would not give of their personal time to even think about, much less be concerned. At most they may have their "peeps" look into. I want to be atyour b-day bash but its NOT your fault these losers make it so hard..Just keep rockin kid,its times like these i'm thankful for real people like you!!!!Dont let anyone make you feel its your fault all us real fans know whats what.love ya man!!!

I was able to get tickets from the fan club presale, but they did go really quick. I am not sure how many were available though. I don't think shutting down the fan club is the answer. I understand your frustrations and that really shows your character.
