hey guys, so im comin over from Australia with a couple friends and we are hiring and RV to drive to these Detroit gigs, in Clarkston, was wondering if anyone knows of any caravan parks around Clarkston that would be good to stay at? and also any tips on what areas we should stay away from to avoid trouble?
Just curious if anyone could help me answer a question? I am going to a sleeptrain ampitheatre to see Bobby and was thinking about buying premium RV parking. My question is, will they let us spend the night or kick us out. I really don't want to have to be sober for this event and thought my little camp trailer may do the trick. I have looked online and can't find the answer. If anyone knows I would love to hear from you.

There's no reason to work for the man in this wonderful country of ours. Just met with my husbands , now my business partner to go over the details of the new company . He and my spouse ave been working on patents for sometime and he's has quite a few and other ventures and seeing how he has some free time now we decided upon our venture of passive income bringing in about 15 g a day to start. I'm gonna be busy doing the marketing portion since I have all the contacts until it gets going and off the ground and then well, fishing, writing a few songs.

I swear some days the ppl in my life are incessant about being assholes to me and then wonder why i want to leave for good. Just get a map out or google someplace and go there. Find a job, find a decent place to live and check out of my current life.

We're staying at the holiday inn express on Washington, looks like a half mile to Comerica.
im sure you can get a room at the casino, but it might cost ya around $250
@ Rhonda I'd been looking the last few weeks & noticed there weren't any hotel rooms till a few days ago. I then asked my husband if he wanted to get a room, he's like nah I'll be the DD & he didn't want to spend the $$...whatever, then this morning he emails me "do ya think there are any rooms still' I'm like you jackass!! Luckily there was = ) time to party!!!

From the description above it says there will be Wrif DJ's at the block party, so I'm assuming there would be a Wrif booth at Comerica also? I just booked a room at the Hilton, there goes my free concert!! I was surprised there were any rooms, anybody else staying there? The check in time says 3 but I'm still gonna try to check in by 2 so I hope to be at the block party by 3 at the latest.
WRIF's website said DJ Meltdown will be at Chelio's place. I wonder if there is going to be another booth in the parking lot. Now where do we meet and what time? I'm aiming to be down there by 2 but a lot depends on the parking situation and will call. I'm heading downtown in about an hour to get my jerseys and will check at will call. Will post again later. ONE DAY!!! DETROIT, BABY !!!!!

Heard from a reliable source that WRIF will have another booth beside the one at Chelios. Just go an email from Olympia Entertainment that they have released more seats. It says gates for the Block party open at 2pm on Friday maybe the other booth is at the block party section. I think I need to make a sign also. Will let everyone know after work on Thurs.
I hope to be down there by 2 video. Name the time. Going down there Thursday to get my jersey and see if I can get my tickets, too. We'll see.

@420 I would look into it, we paid between 30 and 40 for parking on opening day this year, plus we were pretty far away. Last fall our HS was in the championship and we paid 20 bucks to park, (for High School football?) We have a hotel reserved and we are still paying $18.00 for parking, plus the Lions play that night but a lot of Lions fans will be coming down early, that's why Ford Field parking will be closed. That may put parking fees at a premium. The D regulates everything, wish they would look into parking, but I guess they have bigger fish to fry.

I was thinking about purchasing the parking passes before they sold out. Does anybody know where the best place to park is. easy in, easy out. ( if there is such a thing) They offer fox garage, tiger garage, and lot Y. Or am i better off finding a place on the streets somewhere? Thank you

Stole my thunder RSMS, love the island and the fudge. We went one year, took Sheplers across from Mackinaw City, real foggy in the morning, all of a sudden a huge freighter appeared. Scared the crap out of me. Does anyone remember the girl driving a Yugo, it happened in November back in the 80's. It was super windy and the wind picked the car up and it fell to the straits. They couldn't locate the car until Spring the next year, and it was perched on a ledge about ready to fall into the deepest part of the straits. Glad her parents could bury her, but what a horrifying death. Mackinac Bridge Authority drastically changed their rules for driving in wind after that. Still love driving the Bridge though. Has anyone watched the Dirty Jobs (on Discovery) where Mike Rowe paints the bridge, changes light bulbs etc. He said in an interview that was one of his favorites. The Bridge Authority let him do some of their most dangerous jobs, cool episode. He also said he loves the Island and has been back for a few visits.
