    Fans Upset About Ford Field Tickets And What Not......

    I am a musician. I did not attend college and barley made it out of high school. I try my hardest to keep my ticket prices low, THIS I HAVE CONTROL OF.!! I can not control nor do i understand how the fuck the scalpers and all the secondary websites and bullshit get them. IF I COULD CONFRONT EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM FACE TO FACE I WOULD AND IT WOULD NOT WORK OUT TO WELL FOR THEM I GAURANTEE ALL OF YOU. I hate them, i feel like someone is beating up a close friend or family member while im chained to a chair. I try to understand it, i try to ask my managers and people in the buisness i know to help me understand it, but it seems they dont either. The only way i know right now to stop it is to not buy from these people or wait till the last minute when there scared they cant sell em and have to sell them cheap. I am not gonna apologize for something i cant control and it you wanna hate or blame me for it, go for it. But if your really pissed about it, research it and try to find out why its going on and let me know. alot of us are trying to figure out a better way, trust me, the last thing i want is some bottom of the barrel lazy fuck who wont get a real job ripping off my fans to get rich. And no, this post was not consulted w my mangers or publicist, they would probly say not to post it, but thats not how i do things. This is right from my computer to yours. I hope it helps to understand at least how i feel about people trying to get tickets in my fan club or any other way that turns out to be a let down, THAT IS NOT MY INTENTION OR WHY I GOT INTO MUSIC AT ALL. Maybe i should shut down the fan club, because i dont want anyone to think im screwing them and i cant keep the "bottom feeders" from joining it, YET! I try to think of better ways to do things all the time, especially for the fans, but my main focus is always my son and then writing good songs, without those two things, nothing is happening. I will keep my mind spinning trying to figure out a better way to get good tickets to my true fans, and it brings to mind a new song on the new cd "the least that i can do is care" unfortunatley thats not gonna be enuff in this case. trust me im on top of this and doing what i can. thx

AngieluvsKid--Just as an FYI...I paid for regular admission seats at the show I was talking about and it was a smaller venue in PA....at the intermission tons of people went up to get beers and we were all able to move up front close to the stage...but my point was, the ticket prices for the seats I had were fair AND they were good. He wasn't charging ridiculous prices for regular admission seats like some of the other artists do. For as close I as I was-- at future shows I am planning on paying significantly more, as I should and will gladly do.

ITs the season ticket holders. They sell their tickets. I know this from personal experience. (I have a "broker" in my family) Also, the best shows are at DTE. They Lawn seats are your true fans. The tickets that are always reasonable and usually aren't High priced by the brokers...

I appreciate the fact that you keep your ticket prices down. I never miss one of your shows, but unfortunately, you are right, the scalpers buy up the tickets and the real people have no chance. I cannot afford to pay $200 for a concert ticket! But I am sure it will be a great show!

Your doing the best that you can and you've stated it best (STOP BUYING FROM THEM). It's the enevitable, as there will always be that one person who conjure up a way to make a buck from doing nothing. But Karma's a bitch! Keep up the good work, and I love the new CD as it reminds me a little bit of the old Rod Stewart days. :)

But seriously, how do some fans purchase great seats on the floor for $50? Every site I have looked at is like 600 bucks or more??

HOW TO DEFEAT SCALPERS?! Quick as i can describe, n i don't know all the details behind the scene... The band Phish sold their tickets to their 2 night Telluride concerts for August 2010 ESSPECIALLY TO THWART SCALPERS. Purchasers bought via regular lottery n via ticketmaster. Lottery tickets r sold directly from Phish at face value, so no scalper problems there. Ticketmaster sales for that event only gave the buyer a "voucher." Voucher holders had to go to the "will call" tent (no lines or waiting n very friendly) n present BOTH their voucher AND the credit card the tickets were bought with. Then buyers were given their wristband to enter and exit the event freely. All tickets for the rest of that summer tour were sold as usual n most were bought by scalpers n prices were outrageous. The scalper evasion process is more demanding on both the event promoters and fans, but tickets cost face value rather than several hundred dollars each. Don't know if i explained it well enough or if this will get to anyone who cares and can do something about it. I am one of the idiots who pays scalpers when i can't get tickets i need...ok, tickets i want (lol). But when i use scalpers i buy only front row or first few rows. Not gonna pay a ton of money for nose bleed section...dig? Figure if i'ma pay thru the nose, i'll pay the most n get the best spot i can... N KR shows r worth it! Still would prefer scalpers were taken out of the equation all together.

Just wanted to let you know on your web page under TOUR, there is a link ...the (2nd red box that says buy tickets) Ticketsinventory.com for prices from 77.00 to over a 1,000.00. This is where I saw the Dayton Ohio Floor tickets for $753 right now...Tickets don't go on sale for this concert until Friday Dec 3rd. Thanks for standing up for your Fans. Wow !!! Bobby, this is so very kind and caring of you to think about something like this !! My friend, SherZ, told me to check this out and post a comment mentioning how much I've spent in the last 3 years on tickets. Truthfully, I haven't kept track, but it was a lot !! This past year, I did NOT buy from ticket brokers - and therefore, it wasn't as bad !! But in 2008, I remember getting 2 tickets to be in the pit at Madison Square Garden from a broker and they cost about $2500.00! That's only 1 concert !! I think I went to 7 that year alone !! Yes - the scalpers are the ones making out on the ticket proceeds !! But ------ it's always so great to see you, it's worth scrimping on other things !! LOL THANK YOU AGAIN for signing my back on the cruise !!! Another example of how you "CARE " !!! YOU ARE SO INSPIRING ---- THANK YOU !!!

Kid, You do have control over this. A few years ago, I got tickets for a greenday show, and it was forced willcall with no real explanation. Then I assumed it was to keep them out of the hands of scalpers. What a great idea! Day of show, we had to stand in a short line at the box office & pick up tickets with proof of ID & credit card, but that beats the hell out of payin 400% more for tickets from asshole scalpers. I thought this would catch on, but apparently not. Maybe you can implement this for your kansas city show, as I will be getting tix for that show.

Bob, I have been a fan for over 15 years and I actually BUY every single one of your CD's as well as download. I know that every single one of your true fans knows that ticket prices to your concerts are more than reasonable. My husband just paid $250.00 dollars to see another artist for shitty seats and most of the reason for that was exactly what you explained in your email, service charge from Ticketmaster raping people. I was on the floor of one of your concerts not 20 feet away from you and I think I paid $50. I would have paid more than 5x as much and will do so in the future to be that close again. Your true fans know who you are and the worst thing you could do is shut down the fan club which I think for a lot of us has not only been great to keep up on everything Kid Rock, but to meet each other at your concerts and share experiences on the boards. You have the best fans, the most down-to-earth, loyal fans in the world. No one blames you for the bullshit that are as you put it "the bottom feeders." So worry about what's important, your son, your band, your family/friends, and of course, the music. The rest always works out as it should. And for the record, I would pay just about anything to see you play live again....and am still holding out hope to meet you one day just to give you a hug. Thank you for all you do for the fans, the troops, Detroit, for being a family man and a great role model, and someone who is out there for the people. The new album is something to really be proud of! Thanks for all you do, and please head to the mid-atlantic/NE soon! LOVE YOU!

Thank you for taking time out for posting to your fans. I don't understand the ticket fiasco myself. I remember going and standing in line to get concert tickets on a first come first serve basis, but now with technology the way it is, it is freakin' crazy. Last year I saw u in Charlotte NC and I went thru a popular ticket venue and may I say...damn. I couldn't hardly afford the tickets and they weren't very good. I know this is not your fault, but trying to get tickets in TIMES LIKE THESE (lol) is ridiculous. But you still rock and we love ya! It is not your fault! Your true fans will always stand behind ya. People are just trying to get rich off of the expense of other people (the bastards). Happy early four O!!! Born Free is awesome! Love it and love you!

Thank you for your post. I know your cencere to your fans and these ass holes should not be allowed to do that..make money on top of the other money people pay for your tickets. It really is not right but as you know the world is full of crooks. I suggested in the future drop the online sales and have people go to the place where you are playing to buy their tickets. At least we would get them at the price it is sold for. Thanks for caring and ty for a CD that is number one....

Love and respect everything you do! Your post shows you really do care. Your real fans know it's not your fault...if you had control over it, there's no way it would be happening! The problem has got to be with Ticketmaster because on their website it shows all the presale dates.... BUT look at concertticketcenter.com...THEY already have tickets for sale for every show!!! The question is WHO gave them the tickets to be able to sell before they actually go onsale???

You have no control over those pieces of crap. As much as I would LOVE to come celebrate your 40th at Ford Field, as I celebrated my 40th with you Superbowl weekend in The D, I will not give my money to the scumbags. Set up a meet and greet in Clarkston or the Great Lakes Mall or something. At the meet and greet Give a signed copy of your CD for the inconvenience and replace the tickets w/ tickets to a new show. This meet and greet would be the only way to get your tickets exchanged. Let the bottom feeders come to you or take the loss on a lot of tickets. Pain in the ass? Sure. But you get to stick it to the bastards one way or the other. I would like to think that the real fans would like to see who these people are.

Sometimes it seems as though so few people have honor in this world, and it is always about the benjamins. It is like your song said, "can't walk on water..." and there is only so much one man can do. It would take an army of people to solve this problem. Maybe you could enlist media like MTV/VH1/CMT to help out with the scalper problem---they have contact with all kinds of fans, artists, and venues. Scalpers affect all fans and all artists across the board, unfortunately with this problem you are not alone. PS-Keep rocking, love your new CD :-)

Hey Kid! I agree with your problem. How about this. Some how sell these tickets through your site with monitors. Limiting the tickets bought to 10. Have them provide proof, then with the technology at hand, have these tickets printed with a special validation bar code. This would stop the scabbers from buying to many at one time, and having to provide proof. Of who they are. Will really create a deli-ma for them. I know how you feel about this. But the only way to beat up the bastards. is hit them in the wallet and choke the belt. This way there isn't a overprint of tickets And each one has a bar code that when they enter the gate they will know if dupes show up, and were not purchased from your site. Oh yeah one other thing Send a confirmation email as to tickets purchased and to whom. And have them show them at the gate. I know this is a lot shit Bro!. But this would make it so hard for these suckers to buy from regular outlets and in such numbers they would figure it not worth the time nor exposure. I'm sure the small inconvenience would be more than welcome from the purchaser. And a real up the wazuuu for the scalpers. A little technology and a heart to beat them at there own game. You got love it. Keep rocking bro i hope this has some valid ideas for you. I know it works for me when i do a gig... By the way Kid Happy Big 40 Bro...

I know that the scalpers suck but just keep doing what your doing, we love you for it. My girlfriend and I are driving 6 hours to see your Chicago show and will not let scalpers give our hard earned money we spent or this concert a black eye. We saw you at the Iowa State Fair some years back and loved it. People this is the best show you will ever see. Can't wait to see how you will top the State Fair show. Thanks for all your great music! Sometimes you can't always make people do what is right, like my grandpa used to say "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him fuck the Fish!"

Some bands (like Bon Jovi) have fan club seats that you have to purchase thru them and you can not pick them up until the night of the show, at the venue with ID. Limit 2. No one knows where they will sit until they get there.. but fan club is always the first few rows..
