Thank you everyone for the info!! I'm making my list & I think we may need to stay an extra day. So excited to see the city & Kid Rock of course!! Definitely bringing some Bad Ass beer home to Vermont!

We've gone to Detroit several times and tho we didn't have much time for siteseeing.. as our main reason there were for the shows.. we were able to do a few things on a tight budget and still get a feel for the city. Gotta get on the people mover.. this takes you around the city from above and lets you view the different areas, architecture, and art. We stopped off at Greektown.. really cool to see and bustling with lil bars and places to eat.. plus the casino. Stopped off at the Finacial Plaza to walk around Hart Plaza and The Riverwalk. You gotta stop off at Grand Circus and look for the Park Bar, grab a beer and order a Chicken Schwarma.. we've had the opportunity to see Ty Stone play there in the basement, a good couple a years ago... was quite the treat : ) From there you can walk up the street to Cheli's bar where you can get yourself some Bad Ass Beers... and then a couple blocks further up is Comerica Park.. where the show will be held. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there.
Hope you have a blast in Detroit : )

Hitsville USA (AKA) Motown, Henry Ford Museum (Dearborn), Ren Center (GM) corp offices, Greektown for sure, Detroit Science Center, there are 3 casinos, Greektown, MGM and Motor City, tons of great places to eat. Tigers of course but Rock it going to be occupying that spot tho......

Senate Coney Island has awesome chili (chili dogs), Greektown for more yummy food (Old St. Mary's Church within walking distance for the architecture), the waterfront for ethnic festivals on the weekends, Hockeytown for a few Badass beers (bring some back to NE!) and Patron, and of course, the TIGERS! Make your way to Hamtramck to Kowalski's for the BEST Polish food around and enjoy the kindness of the midwest and make some new friends! Have a great time in the big D!
