    Fans Upset About Ford Field Tickets And What Not......

    I am a musician. I did not attend college and barley made it out of high school. I try my hardest to keep my ticket prices low, THIS I HAVE CONTROL OF.!! I can not control nor do i understand how the fuck the scalpers and all the secondary websites and bullshit get them. IF I COULD CONFRONT EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM FACE TO FACE I WOULD AND IT WOULD NOT WORK OUT TO WELL FOR THEM I GAURANTEE ALL OF YOU. I hate them, i feel like someone is beating up a close friend or family member while im chained to a chair. I try to understand it, i try to ask my managers and people in the buisness i know to help me understand it, but it seems they dont either. The only way i know right now to stop it is to not buy from these people or wait till the last minute when there scared they cant sell em and have to sell them cheap. I am not gonna apologize for something i cant control and it you wanna hate or blame me for it, go for it. But if your really pissed about it, research it and try to find out why its going on and let me know. alot of us are trying to figure out a better way, trust me, the last thing i want is some bottom of the barrel lazy fuck who wont get a real job ripping off my fans to get rich. And no, this post was not consulted w my mangers or publicist, they would probly say not to post it, but thats not how i do things. This is right from my computer to yours. I hope it helps to understand at least how i feel about people trying to get tickets in my fan club or any other way that turns out to be a let down, THAT IS NOT MY INTENTION OR WHY I GOT INTO MUSIC AT ALL. Maybe i should shut down the fan club, because i dont want anyone to think im screwing them and i cant keep the "bottom feeders" from joining it, YET! I try to think of better ways to do things all the time, especially for the fans, but my main focus is always my son and then writing good songs, without those two things, nothing is happening. I will keep my mind spinning trying to figure out a better way to get good tickets to my true fans, and it brings to mind a new song on the new cd "the least that i can do is care" unfortunatley thats not gonna be enuff in this case. trust me im on top of this and doing what i can. thx

I think, as REAL fans, we know that none of this is YOUR fault, Bob... But as a really big fan and a fan down here in the "swamp" state (Florida), it is my dream to see you perform live in your "hometown"..So when I heard the announcement about your 40th kicking off the tour, I had to figure it out....I immediately bought tickets for a flight up there. I tried to buy presale tickets to avail, then also tried friday at 10:00, still to no avail... I was able to purchase 2 tickets on saturday, and really wouldn't have done it if I didn't think that this was going to be the most entertaining show I have yet to see of yours...... I have seen you MANY times......I even cut all my hair off into a MOHAWK before going on the cruise last April.. I gave about 15inches of it to LOCKS OF LOVE.... I'm a 46 yr old woman, so you know how THAT freaked some people out!!! The point is, WE know it's not YOU making these prices, but WE will come see you live, no matter what....BUT please don't stop trying to fix this....... Rock on, Beautiful, and thanks......

Well thats the name of the game....unfortunately alot of yourREAL fans have to miss out on what sure to be "1 HELL OF A BIRTHDAY PARTY" I am a single mom of 3 lil men and there is no way I can afford those ticket prices from the vultures before Christmas....so looks like I'll be sitting this one out....I seen you many time before and I know ur gonna rock downtown....I will be sure to have a seat in a nearby bar "just in case" LOL - I myself turned the BIG 40 this year and I thought I'd never see that day, however I did...so in case I forget to tell ya you were "born free" so ~HAPPY 40TH BIRTHDAY KID~ and many many more....cuz I LOVE the real & honest way you come out thru your music...it inspires me to keep my head up!!!!

Most people know that scalpers and "second party" fuckers trying to make a dirty dollar are always trying to stay one step ahead of any system, regulation or rule especially if it has to do with a legal money x-action. Seems to me (just off the top of my head) that as much of a royal pain it would be to imlement some kind of complicated electronic solution is needed. Something where you don't actually end up with a paper ticket sent to you in the mail but rather some kind of bar code to signify that you've payed that can only be scanned with a real piece of ID (like a drivers license). Just throwin' it out there but don't have time to help out and do any real research right now. @ the Elite level of a household name performer like Rock there are always going to be "vultures" swarming around trying to scavange any hard earned, adjusted even subsidized ticket sales revenue. In the a music business that's gotten nutured and raped in the last 1.5 decades that's really fucking sad. It's brave people like Kid and Brown trucker that are keeping the golden years of ballin rock music alive into this brave new world century where the fucking two main buzzwords I keep reading about in Canadian newspapers are "austerity" and "transparency". Kid's comment deserves MAJOR RESPECT he is being completely austere and transparent about all his business plans and what he cares about the most. In a time where hyper-capitalist corruption has reached an ultimate low it takes bands and stars like Rock with the balls and money to keep entertaining and inspiring us working people to be good people. Just a rant. I was checkin' out the site. If Kid Rock or any of the band reads this I LOVE YOUR MUSIC .... don't stop ever!

I am pissed off at ford field more than I am at the scalpers! Real fans went to the f field box office to get tickets. When people started showing up box office people were telling us to go to the oprea house or jazz cafe to buy the tickets, which I didnt understand why. Then @ 10:01 they told us to go back to f field box office where they only opened 1 window for Kid Rock tickets! So people that try to do things the right way got fucked. I hope Kid Rock changes the name from fourty field to fuck my fans field because that is how a lot of us feel! I know the show is going to be awesome I really wish I could afford to go!! Have a Happy Birthday Kid!!! JP a fucked over Kid Rock fan!!!

Reading some of the comments below, I agree with everyone that it is frustrating that these scalpers get away with this type of robbery! We were online @ 10:00 AM and by 10:14AM, it was sold out :( This will be the first Michigan concert we will miss and it truly sux a$$! I am not going to give in and buy tickets at a higher cost because that will let them win, so I wish you a Happy "Ford-y"th Birthday Bash and Rock it like you always do!! I was 7 minutes into presale and couldn't get decent tickets. had to get them from someone else who made $50 off each ticket. i'm in panic because i spent too much-we are michigan people. we have been through unemployment. it sucks. now I don't know what to do with them. you are a good performer so we will be there

Kid, you are so awesome for posting your feelings about this and I totally agree. I was also ticked off when the presale started on the 23rd and I was not able to get any tickets. I was not a happy camper. I know you are not trying to screw your fans. I ended up going to one of those secondary websites and paying a higher price just to get tickets. I did not want to do that, but I was not going to miss out on celebrating your birthday with you and seeing you perform yet another incredible performance. I will keep my mind spinning also trying to figure out a way this could work better. You are amazing and I love the Born Free cd, it is awesome. See you on Jan. 15th. Brenda

Being a home boy from the D also, It burns my Ass that a 60,0000 seat arena can be sold out in 15 mins and these scalpers have been selling tickets on line all week before they go on sale.Coming from Detroit times are tough I cannot afford to pay 175.00 for seats in the back of sec 300 in nose bleed. Or 1,000 a pc for VIP Seats would loved to take my niece as her Birthday is the same day as yours but refuse to payout that kind of money. this is why we jointed the fan club to get pre-sale first ....but that day I couldnt get them i had to wait till the next day at 10:00 am to buy them at a price increase. ticket master (the man) ...I got them but wasnt happy about not being able to get them the first day they went on sale ......

Some things are out of your control. There are some sorry mother fuck@@s out there. You just keep doing what you are doing. You are the most kind hearted,genuine, down to earth person I have had the priviledge of meeting on several occasions. If people even think about blaming you for what scalpers do then they need to get a freaking clue. I have been a fan since 1999 and have had to pay up to 400.00 before. But I did not have a choice it was sold out and I had to go.. Would not miss a show when you come to Dallas or anywhere near me. You give 250% at every show and you go way out of your way for your fans at every turn. There's always going to be some asshole trying to make a buck off of your hard work. Tickets Tickets Tickets-LOL LOL Nice to see ya post on your owns site. One thing about you Mr. Kid Rock is that your shows ROCK! I didn't get my tickets due to letting my membership laps that is no ones fault but my own. I have been finding alot of tixs out there on other sites and honestly there are better seats than I got through the fan club. I emailed the CLUB with no reply from them???? BUT that's ok. I'd pay just about anything to be upfront. It's a matter of how bad do ya want it. The best seats I ever got was 3rd row isle in Cleveland and i bought those tixs from another site and on the BOAT 2nd row which was through the club sorta. Seeing you up close like that makes it worth every dollar spent!!!!!!!!! Hoping to make your bithday show because I know it will rock out! Best Wishes always and HUGS!

There is a sea of comments here, and I'm sure this will just get lost in the chorus, but I'll say it anyway. Clearly KR can't control every aspect of the PR machine involved with putting on shows. and clearly he does what he can to keep ticket prices low compared to other musicians. I appreciate everything KR does for his fans, and don't blame him for everything little thing that goes wrong. I cringe when I see the personal attacks on him for ticket prices and such. I'm amazed that he took the time to respond at all. I am not a rich woman, and can't afford the big ticket VIP stuff, but I'll always be a KR fan. Rock on!

Thanks for keeping it real and thinking about your true fans. I was not able to get tickets YET for the "Birthday Bash" but I will keep trying. i have been to several of your shows in the past. LOVE IT. Best concerts I have ever been to. The new CD is AWESOME as well. Keep it up !!!
