I have been able to take a camera and get great pics at every KR show I have seen, and thats alot! No video recording allowed, otherwise click away.
The main ticket office opens at 10:00am for will call ticket pick-up. The office is on the Woodward side of the stadium. There is at least one other ticket office that will open two hours before the show.
Jupiter, I've heard mixed messages about this. I don't really know, and it might also be venue based more than KR based.
for the Hershey show, I hadn't heard anything about not taking cameras so I brought a small camera. I was in the front row and was taking pics right in front of security. The security never said a word to me but they did ask some other people to stop~ I THINK (though I'm not sure) they were trying to stop people from taking video or recordings with their phones. but I don't really know. but at Hershey they really didn't have a lot of security in the sense they weren't searching people when we walked in.
Also, Does Kid Rock allow cameras at his concerts?
I wish we could get hard tickets too. but, that being said, I had no problem with will-call when I went to the Hershey show last month. I did try to pick them up the day before, and I couldn't. you can only get them the day of, but they are available as soon as the box office opens so I got them early in the day... that way I didn't miss any of the partying with my friends! :-)
I love hard copies too. I wish i could go see Kid again i just don't have the time or money. I be working on those days. I keep stubs i have a stack of them i need to sort through and put in my concert picture/memory album. I put stubs, newspaper articles, etc in there to commerate all the shows i go to. Soon i will need a new album.
Got a Lynryd Skynryd for my local area show in August. I hate all the ticketmaster fees it turned a $40 ticket into $49.50. Ain't that some shit? That and i will probably go see Def Leppard with special guest Heart from the lawn unless pavilion ticket prices drop soon and dramatically. Before i went up for Journey the other day i spied tickets for it @ half what they are asking for the same seats right now. They drop those prices back down and i will buy a ticket for under the pavilion. If not i will go on the lawn and chill with my peeps! They ain't bleeding me. I will do what i did the last time buy a ticket @ the box office as i go to the show. I ain't worried about Def Leppard selling out. It ain't happening. I buy a ticket like that way and some of the fees don't apply. I just shake my head. At Bridgestone in Nashville, TN you buy a ticket @ the box office they charge you a whopping $2 service fee and that is. That is the way it should be. Or how Pop's in Sauget has it or The Pageant in St. Louis. You buy it there and there is no fee. Pop's sometimes charges a few bucks more if you buy day of show, but fuck it is worth it not to pay all those ticketmaster fees.
I had a great time on the lawn @ Kenny Chesney/Billy Currington/Uncle Kracker as well as Journey/Foreigner/Night Ranger. I will tell you a little secret too. I no longer think the pavilion is the shit after those two shows. I can swing over to the middle isle and get enough pics to make me happy and take the extra money the greedy ticketmaster bastards were getting out of me and keep it!
I had the option to print my VIP tickets when I ordered through the fan club on-line. I states it is an actual ticket. Don't think we have to go to the box office, or do we?
One week...can't wait!
Do we know what time the box office opens? And can we pick them up Friday for the Saturday show??
We got to the Cincy show a little more than an hour before the show started and there was no line at that venue. It will probably vary, but it took less time to get the actual tickets than deal with security. We just showed the ID that we purchaed them on, signed the envelope, and they handed them right over. We had enough time to grab a drink and hit the bathrooms before anyone took the stage. Have fun and you will get hard copies!
I don't mean to speak for the admin, but in my past experience with other fan clubs, the lines go very fast as ppl show up at different times to get their tix. You should still get hard copies of tix, you just have to sign for them and show ID. :)
You will be able to pick them up as early as the box office opens. There will be a separate line for The KRC.
