I have been trying to buy tickets for the Kid show on Aug 12th at Comerica Park. However, this new site tickets.com sucks ass. They put you in a viritual waiting room and select people at random. The only problem is that I have been in the damn room for over 20 minutes and have been selected twice, but than nothing happens. I am never transfered to a page where I can buy tickets. What a Cluster fuck.
I hope this is not happening to everyone! Why cant we just go back to the days of partying all night while we waiting in line at our local ticketmaster.

I have absolutely no idea if this matters at all, but this is how I did it and got a great seat this morning:
First off I got out of bed at 10:40 with no intentions of being able to get a seat. W/out thinking I went to Ticketmaster and clicked on KR. That took me to the place that said buy tickets. I noticed underneath buy tix it said thru our partnering site. Said hmmm...whats this about.
Clicked link went to tickets.com (who I've never used before) and clicked on right side--Click here for VIP tickets. (I think I was in waiting room the first time and just refreshed the page till this ear wrenching noise went off to let me know I was in.) Clicked it and it took me to another page where I choose my Section (D) and amt of tix (1) and was taken to a page with D row 23...I threw em back and tried again. I then got D row 9 seat 9. I opened another window to try and get better but was pulling up rows 23 & 19 consistently. Went back to the other open page with the row 9 seat and I was timed out! (didn't realize I only had 6 mins.) So I tried again on that page and got the same ticket...so I grabbed it w/out hesitation.
So I have no idea if going thru ticket master site had anything to do with my success or not...but it worked for me? I can relate to all you's frustration I had problems with pre sale for the first time ever this sale and was so pissed off and disappointed I wasn't gonna go. I truly didn't think I would get a seat today and had come to accept that.
I do agree, going back to the day when ya stand in line over night would suit me just fine. Especially if they left that stupid LOTTO crap outta it too....Old skool ticket buying....first come first serve!
Words cant even begin to explain my anger...I tried to get tickets with both pre-sales...was on the computer a hour before the sale time (with both pre-sales)...only to be let down....the pre-sale was crazy...With the first pre-sale I got on right away but by the time I typed in the special word...they were sold out...the second pre-sale I couldn't sign in to the KRC...kept going in circles...when that was resolved...same thing as the first pre-sale...sold out before I could type in my word....I guess maybe that should have been a sign that today wasnt going to turn out good either...again...i was on my computer an hour before only to be put in the waiting room like everyone else....I was not let in to try to the select ticket section until 10:24....I have been in that section ever since...I did though get booted back to the waiting room twice and have had to re-enter the special word at least 10 times now.....I have been selecting my section and amount of tickets non-stop since 10:24...my fingers and wrist are very tired :(
I have never had so much trouble buying tickets...EVER...absoloutely INSANE!!!!
It Is Awesome that Kid Rock and his crew have tried to stop the piece of shit scalpers....but in doing so...they have made it much worse on us "HIS TRUE FAN'S" with buying tickets!!!

OK OK OK lets give them the credit for trying not to have all the scalpers buy up the tickets. Kid Rock is very sincere when he says he does not want his fans to get ripped off. I agree this tickets.com was horrible!!! I have been on line for an hour and NO tickets. I have to stay positive and say Kid Rock is trying his best to make all his fans happy.
@shannonprice I'm picking the ones up that I got in presale. I had to get 2 GA's because a friend of mine doesn't have high speed internet so I did it for him. To say the least I bit the bullet and went stubhub I'm not missing this one regardless of price. Already have a full party bus reserved.
Anyone ever get tickets from stubhub? Are they legit? I placed my order and got it confirmed within 10 minutes of placing the order. Just don't wanna get jipped out of a concert.

Tickets.com sucks. 45 minutes no tickets. Ten minutes waiting in a virtual room, then the "unable to process your request due to high transaction volumes". Never had an issue with ticketmaster. Comerica needs to partner with a ticketing system that is capable of scaling to customer demand.
Finally get in and of course it says ticket inventory is down to scattered singles. this sucks!
jmtiseo - be careful with the will call tickets because if they were presale tickets you have to be the member of the fan club or you cannot get the tickets.

Well I did get tickets, but it was 30 minutes in waiting room. Tickets.com come was not a pleasant experience, I would have rather stood in line at a ticketmaster outlet. Happy beyond belief to get tickets though!
Well, I got in, you can buy up to 12 tickets, so of course nothing is coming up. My friend got in and said when you do get tickets, there is a 52 service fee...are you kidding me? That's not fair!!! There should have been a 4 ticket limit to help everyone get seats...
I'm wondering if it would be quicker to go to a meijer store?

I too agree, 20+ minutes here, I'm a KRC member that needs to pick up two GA's for the 12th show, I lost hope in this. I'm normally done with getting tickets within the first few minutes of them going on sale. This is new and I'm still waiting for a damn pop up. BS is the best way to describe tickets.com.
Don't even know if the ones on stubhub.com are real because to my understanding they are pick up at will-call the day of the event.
