I understand times are hard for us all right now-all around the country-BUT could you imagine how hard it must be for Kim's 2 little girls to have to deal with their mom being taken from them so quick and at such a young age? The financial burden as well. Funerals are so expensive these days, not to mention the 2 little girls needs that are left behind to be cared for by their G'ma. Anything you can spare will be greatly appreciated.

It fills my heart helping to make a difference with this financial burden that was placed on the families shoulders. But I merely did the formalities! It is all of YOU who have picked up the ball and ran with it! Be it prayers, donations, kind words about Kimi. It all matters and counts, and I'm certain Kim is looking down overwhelmed with the out pour of LOVE...
Kim's Mom said something so special to me the other day, she said she has thanked God for bringing me into the families life(That brought tears to my eyes)...I said Dee... "God commanded us to LOVE one another, and to treat each other the way that we want to be treated." I'm simply following His sound advice, it makes life so much more enjoyable! : )
Kimi has been my friend for nearly a decade now, and we've never met face to face... She has been one of the few people that always seemed to appear when I needed support ...be it emotional, or just to banter with. She always shined with love and was always one of the first to chime in when I needed a friend! I have made countless friends through the internet and many of them started on a KidRock Chat thingy many many moons ago...
So it is truly my pleasure to be a part of this Fundraiser!

I have to clarify, I do not in anyway shape or form think anything is wrong. PayPal was actually the company that alerted us to what was happening. From there we found out other accounts that were not protected which was our fault 100 percent. Our safety software was what was hacked. Please GIVE, I just gave a contribution and got a confirmation number. I called them, and everything is very legitimate. Believe me, I don't put my CC # out there unless I know I won't be compromised.
KRLO, yes it legit! It was Paypal making sure it was me!! there should be no problem. Yet because I had to make a phone call to clear this up. That is why it is in *review* Imagine how bad I felt for Alicia and this fund raising and her confusion. I do a lot of charity work, It;s all good. Short story though Haha one day I had to buy a whole bunch of stuff in one day and I said.... if my credit card does not call me by the second store. I am going to flipout I am very aware of what my finaces are and what is going on. I just couldn't understand how paypal was wording it via on-line. So the phone call starightened it out and I got all my confirmation work.

Missy, It sounds like PayPal is taking care of you and that is good news. and I hope it is solved. It is legit isn't it? We had a very bad experience w/ being hacked about 3 years ago. A lot of our accounts were hacked, thank God not our banking but the hackers were going for our Tax accounts. Took months to resolve. I haven't been on PayPal since, I just rejoined. We just contributed. Please tell me this is legit. I never met her, but from everyone's recounts, she was a stellar person.
It withdrew all funds from my paypal account. I was on the phone with them.They just noticed it was suspicious behavior on my part. haha . Yet I am so glad they are on their toes!! There should be no problem cause I told them of the circumstances, yet I am thankful for their concern also. Please let me know if it works. I'd appreciate that. It's the least I can do.

No problem Paypal was verifying information for me and caused a reversal in payment for my protection.I probably came off looking like an ass. Yet they did the right thing I am not using my normal IP address and they wanted me to verify this was a legit donation on my part (That it was me that was doing the transaction and no a stolen/hacked account. I like that they are looking out for me :) Sorry for the confusion. It should be correct now!! and you should receive the funds momentarly. Thanks for understanding Ali!

Alicia I believe Ace is just trying to encourage contributions to your chip in foundation. There was a little confusion I believe that got straightened out! Not a lot of people have pay pal accounts an such. Sorry if we strayed off subject. It was meant to keep this post at the top, and share in where are thoughts are right now, via on-line during the familys and friends loss. I will delete all my posts if you want!!

I have read through this thread and I'm a little confused? So I wanted to clear this up right away in case anyone else was too.
There is only one Donation Fund Raiser set up via ChipIn using Paypal as the source of payment that I/we the family are associated with. ALL donations will be used to pay the funeral home directly. If we could keep this thread pertaining strictly to our intentions it will make this a simple process with less confusion.
Videoace I think your heart is in the right place, but when I commented on your idea of playing songs if we met our goal being a great idea. I wasn't aware that you were going to accept pledges etc? I certainly don't want to offend you or anyone. Giving in this time of need is a beautiful and appreciated thing. I just think keeping it simple will make this a successful fundraiser and all monies can be accounted for in the end.
