The best kiss I ever got

The best kiss I ever had
Was the one I never got
Made me kinda sad
Thought maybe he'd forgot
It's the thought I've been missing
It never goes away
Of his lips to mine, sweet kissing
The one that I may never find
How could he ever forget
And leave these sweet lips behind
Blows my mind and leaves me talking
Walked right by smiling
And just kept on walking.
I thought hey, stop, it's me!
But he couldn't hear the thoughts in my head
Maybe it just wasn't meant to be.
And as I turned to walk away in disgrace
I turned to look one more time,
its just music. the song "born free"itself is just music, there really is no genre for it. its just a great song.
It cracks me up what some people think is country. Is Bob seger country, steve earle, Sting,
Hay Kid plays his music his way. Callit what, if he get s too spirited for ya , put on lil Hank Jr.
Kid,bys heard bout the harmonica, now TIM LEDBETTER, MUSIC SHOP SENT A DVD, GUESS WE LL ALL BE PLAYIN AT CANPFIRE! KID JUST B U......KKK
he sells out plenty of concerts>>
I agree with Mrs Cedar " I like all his shit" Everyone had different sides to them, he is showing off his.
I don't think he's gone country... like Ajay said, there's been a southern rock feel to his music for awhile now...KR is really a mix of all different genres, that's what I like about KR's music. I'm not a loving the Born Free album, it's not bad...I do like some songs on it. It just doesn't sound like KR to me. I do also hope on his next CD he goes back to making his albums the way he used to, meaning no Rick Ruben & go back to using his own band. I do like the more mature direction he's going with his music though. I guess we'll all have to wait patiently & see what he does on the next album.
you either jump on the bus....or you will get run over by it.. lol .... I like ALL his shit... and I love that finally there is a whole CD by Kid I can listen to in front of the kids..... :)
Hey, I'll go along for the ride wherever his music takes me. Went to the CMT's last year and had a blast and I was never into country before. It's opened my eyes to new music. Love it all!
Okay so you guys say you have been along for the whole ride right? Did you not hear his leanings towards country from the start or am i the only one? He really can't be classified in certain genre. If one could i would say he is country/rock/pop.
He has since i have been listening been leaning towards country rock for quite some time. He just brought it home with this one. It is country rock. Or what i christen SOUTHERN FRIED ROCK. Take LS and mash it up with some barroom stomp, tickle the piano ivories, add a bit of souful rock leanings toward Bob Seger. Add a dash of pop rock to it in the style of Elton John and there you go.
You that hold onto Bob's early work so hard i gotta ask why that is? He can't scream my NAME IS KIDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD ROCCCCKKKKKKKKKKK forever and i'm going platinum like he did early on forever. What do you expect Devil Without a Cause over and over? Maybe Grit Sandwiches for Breakfast. He even carried this over into Rock N' Roll Jesus, the same bravado he had prior.
He is a 40 year old man who has slugged it out in the entertainment world for over 20 years and made it and been a great success. Do y'all expect him to act 25 for the rest of his life? I amazed @ times, but not at times @ fans who have the same attitude. I used to listen to Metallica fans claim that they sold out too and tell you when they believed they did. And just about every other band i have ever enjoyed got the same stigma @ different points in their careers.
I dare each one of you to name one bad song on Born Free....
I think a better question is: WHEN will he find time to write and record? I don't know how he does it. The man is in constant motion.
So true. Nobody does it better on stage than Kid.
I expect to see some badass in the next cd. I personally think he was anticipating his 40th birthday and it kinda freaked him out a bit. But, hopefully, he's realized 40 ain't so bad and he definitely can still rock out. He amazes me when he's on stage.
Soul searching is cool. I just hope he comes back to his bad ass roots occasionally in vinyl.
@Rsms- I feel ya!! :)
Marsha< really , no he is soul searching & when Kid Lands you'll hear it I know, complying with a US policy- it's called Genre's, did you pay attention in Class?
Remember Kid's song~ how many sold m-fer's does it take to sway over from other Styles of listening, what you think Kid can't Rock anymore/ I say I have been to his shows, he is a bad a$$ dude!! For sure
P's- to cover myself, Do Not take offense to this,I'm a true Fan, our colors don't Run!
ill bet even money the next recording will feature some badass cuts. i think this last one was just an experiment maybe. who knows. he used a different producer, different musicians, etc... not sure whose idea all that was, but i think he will go back to making some harder recordings. thats if the people in his camp, and himself are paying attention to the fans
just kidding...
I so wanna type "marsha, marsha, marsha" but am afraid she'll get mad so I'll just remain quiet.
I've seen him in concert more than a dozen times but I didn't mention a thing about his concerts, they rock. I said a need a new RECORD with my good ole Kid Rock. I need some bad ass lyrics that I can scream and rock to. Not all country. A little of both would be okay, just give me a little more of the original bad ass.
He ROCKS no matter what... If u r good @ it all do it, No matter what he sings he Kicks ASS...
never seen him in concert? i definitely wouldnt call him country lol
