Sometimes it's hard to be a woman
Giving all your love to just one man
You'll have bad times
And he'll have good times
Doin things that you don't understand
But if you love him
You'll forgive him
Even though he's hard to understand
And if you love him
Oh, be proud of him
Cause after all he's just a man
Stand by your man
Give him two arms to cling to
And something warm to come to
when nights are cold and lonely
Stand by your man
And show the world you love him
Keep giving all the love you can
Stand by your man
Stand by your man
And show the world you love him
Keep giving all the love you can
ok, i looked up what the definition is when you use someones song, and use substitute lyrics.
Parody involves using a whole melody from an original song, but with entirely different substitute lyrics.
there are a lot of links about this so i didnt post any, but thats how they define it.
omg, Video! good one!!! I've never heard that version of Blue Moon before, but it sounds pretty clearly connected to me!!! :-) and I didn't know about the piano solo either... I'll see if I can find that as well.
thank you!!!
(the FB link didn't post, try again?)
from rolling stone magazine.
"Cowboy" swipes its piano solo from the Doors'"L.A. Woman," while "Bawitdaba" mixes up the Sugarhill Gang's "Rapper's Delight" and the Marcels' "Blue Moon" like it ain't no thing.
i also posted a different link on facebook for you
Oh and maybe the 75% is a bit low even.
If I wanna have a "big head" about it.. Well ahhhhh.... Maybe 85% of the time! lol.
: )
If I remember correctly... I am pretty sure I have either read or heard Kid Rock even talk about this.
Again, if I am remembering correctly but usually I am pretty good at KR trivia if ya will. Not always right but I would give myself a 75% on most things Kid Rock.
Just ask the random girls me and Kev jumped in on at the KR Trivia on the boat. Once we joined in (late by the way) we damn near got every question right! And I even had to go up once and prove Kappy wrong on one question. In which, of course... I WAS RIGHT! Haha.
awesome, I really agree. I got a few people saying not... but I think they're mis-understanding what I mean when I say reference (or "influence") its not a direct sample, but too close for them not to be related.
thanks Romeo!! (where for art thou, Romeo? Deny they father and refuse my name... you know I"ve been dying to do that, right?)
Yes, it is.
I am PRETTY positive on this one.
lol
