@just because.. my wife got it up to 4 very painful steps the other day using the rails an the support belt the therapist use to help her thought she was gonna slap the physical therapist ..lol..YEA!!!!....yepp i start back to work tonight 3rd shift sucks..lol..but its a job. 4 10hour days then off Saturday night an start it all over again Sunday...so my sister in law will be answering any questions or replying to stuff for me on here after today up until 2pm than i will keep a check on things until i leave for work at 7pm (i have a 45-50minute drive one way to get to work). i still want the chats an prayers they keep us going. its been great being off work (with the exception of the short paycheck i will get..lol) messaging with all of you an the laughs we have shared...Thank You all and God Bless...James

@Momof8...no we have had a buyer for her VIP ticket to the concert yet. there is no way she will be able to attend all her Dr's an her therapist have said she will be lucky to walking with walker by December at the earliest with the still healing damage to her femur bone an her neck. she cant take but 2 or 3 steps now at the most with the rails an the therapist belt thing on her in case she falls...James

@Momof8....thank you for your kind words. i have not been on this discussion board long its my wife's account an she is more of a pro at this site than i am. i am glad you are back reading the discussions, there are some on here that i have just read an moved on to the next due to the exact thing you mentioned. my wife would do the same, she always would say to me "i want to tell this person what i think but my mama always said if you ain't got nothing good to say don't say nothing at all". now DO NOT get me wrong she would go off on someone in a heartbeat if she found it was needed she is a natural red head an some times she does it when she has had enough of some one's junk. she tries to do it in a way but sometimes she gets going and ITS ON!! trust me Ive been on the receiving end of that an its NO FUN..LOL..she is a true southern woman, sweet as can be but can go off faster on some thing or some one faster than fire cracker fuse. she does have a long road ahead of her. and she will pop out the funniest things when you least expect it. she had a male nurse with long hair, it was in a ponytail he was her nurse only 1day over the holiday weekend (now i know why she only had him 1day)..LOL. she said to me "he kinda favored KID ROCK'S" then said "DOG" i thought i was gonna wet my pants laughing..LOL..she thought he had left the room where he couldn't hear her, HE HAD NOT he heard her an he was laughing to, guess he was marking it up to her medicine making her say it, but don't guess he knows they have cut back on her pain meds..LOL..keep reading on here, there are more than cat fights on here, i read some where Ive laughed over what they were fussing about and really didn't understand why. there are some who try to start crap on here, from what Ive seen an been told so i just don't read those...thank you for your prayers an we will be praying for you and yours also....thank you so very much....James

she would love to meet him,(like everyone else on here wants to meet kid rock but she knows that may never happen) she would settle for seeing him in concert (dreaming of maybe jumping his bones..LOL.). but the condition she is in she ain't doing no jumping of anything or or anyone no time soon. yes i still need help if your able willing and able to help me you sound like a busy person. glad you had a great few days off of here. i tried to stay off here over the long weekend also, but still found myself being bored here at the hospital and at home to so i ended up wandering around an looking at things on this site. @donnadebauchery...my wife an i would love to meet you one day. you have no idea how much help you and others have been on giving me advice and the just the conversation has helped me pass the time an get from day to day just by being on here. y'all have made me laugh when in all i wanted to do was just curl up into a ball and cry. not to many men would admit that but man our family have been put through hell over the wreck i posted whats left of her car on her profile. someone on this discussion (sorry i don't remember who) said that maybe i needed to post our story an the information about the ticket on another board here, but i have no clue where to do that or how to do that. my wife was right when she said she was going to join the KRC, she said " honey i been reading on kid rock site for a while now and kid rock fans treat each other like there all actual family members I'm gonna join it"! i mentioned before I'm a volunteer firefighter, our fire department was called out for an accident (but of course i didn't know it was her), my fire chief seen me pull up on scene, i did not recognize the car i could see in the distance, my fire chief came up to me and said "don't go down to the accident scene" my heart dropped to my toes. it took 3 of my brother firefighters to keep me calm and away until they got the drunk driver in the police car and gone. so i went to my own wife's accident scene, i never in a million yrs thought it could have been MY wife when the fire call came out. I'm just glad the plant i work at is on shut down for the 4th of July for maintenance so i have 12 days off. everyone have a safe July 4th celebration. god bless you all and god blessed kid rock with some of the nicest an loyal fan there is out there....have a safe 4th...god bless you all...James

GOOD NEWS ABOUT MY WIFE "SHELL" THE PHYSICAL THERAPIST GOT HER OUT OF HER BED FOR THE 1ST TIME TODAY, SHE DID GOOD SITTING IN THE CHAIR WITH THE METAL IN HER FEMUR, HER HEALING NECK AN ALL, SO THE THERAPIST CAME BACK A BIT LATER WITH A SET OF WALKING RAILS(not sure what there called) SHE TOOK 3STEPS TODAY. YEAH. SHE'S STILL DRAGGING OR JUST NOT WANTING TO PUT TO MUCH WEIGHT ON HER LEFT LEG BUT STILL 3STEPS IS A BIG DEAL FOR ALL SHE HAS BEEN THROUGH, ESPECIALLY WITH ALL THE METAL SHE HAS IN HER LEG. SHE WAS WORN SLAM OUT AFTER THE 3STEPS AN SITTING IN THE CHAIR SO SHE IS RESTING NOW. I TOLD HER HOW ALL THE PEOPLE ON HERE WERE CHEERING FOR HER AN PRAYING AN THINKING ABOUT HER SHE STARTED TO TEARED UP SO I QUICKLY CHANGED THE SUBJECT..SHE SAID TO TELL EACH AN EVERYONE OF YOU THANK YOU VERY MUCH AN GOD BLESS YOU ALL, THEN SHE STARTED TO TRY TO LAUGH AN SAID TO TELL YOU ALL TO EAT AT WAFFLE HOUSE..LOL...IM THINKING THEY STILL NEED TO CUT DOWN ON HER MED'S..I HAVE TO SAY THE SAME THING TO ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE SENT HER ENCOURAGEMENT...GOD BLESS..TAKE CARE...James

@just because...I'm not familiar at all with this site much at all. i can get to this page an her profile an the news page that's about it. i tried to upload a picture of whats left of her car an it didn't work. I'm not that great on her laptop its so small. UNLIKE MY WIFE..LOL..she could go any where an every where an she taught me what little bit i do know, thank god for spell check on her laptop there is no telling what words y'all would be trying to figure out..LOL..but shes not in any condition to try an tell me where to go or how to do it. there is no telling where the post or what discussion board it would end up on..LOL..if you could try to explain to me or email me an i could email you back the info an you could post it for me because i got no clue where else is proper to go on here for that..thanks for the input i had not even thought about what mentioned...James

@donnadebauchery..yes we we are glad someone finally got back to my sister in law after all the emails and phone calls we made. now to just get it sold. my brain has been on maximum overload for a while now between trying to work to keep my job an wanting or needing to be with my wife an taking care of our kids especially our 15yr old(who is just like his mom so tender hearted an very caring of others) i have to keep on assuring him that she will get better, its just taking longer than anyone thought. he was supposed to go to FFA camp this week but begged me not to make him go, he wanted to stay here to be able to be around his mom especially after the set back with her kidney and all. i write down what i can an i also have a micro recorder that i borrowed so if a Dr comes in or starts talking or trying to communicate with my wife an no one is in the room with her she can tap a little button, that way we can keep up with what ever they say to her an so we can record what they say an us not be lost on what there saying. they know we use it, just so we know and can remember whats going on or what there planning to do. right now it seems like all she wants to do is sleep so now there worried about that and are going to do another CT or MRI scan of her brain. it seems like everyday its something it gets so very overwhelming sometimes for all of us. she lost her mother almost 3yrs ago very unexpectedly and very suddenly, here lately at night and sometimes early in the morning she has said to me an to her sister that she talked to her mama on the phone, or her mama came to see her. it breaks our hearts, but we just kinda change the subject when she does this, we know its just her dreaming or all the medicine she is on or maybe her angel looking over her you never know. Bless you all for the thoughts, prayers and advice keep them coming, tell the ones you love,YOU LOVE THEM every chance you get, you just never know when you wont have the chance to say it again..James

NOW ABOUT HER VIP/BBQ TICKET: OK MY SISTER IN LAW FINALLY GOT A CALL BACK FROM A HIGHER UP PERSON WITH ARTIST ARENA! DUE TO THIS TRAGEDY OUR FAMILY HAS BEEN FACING HE TOLD MY SISTER IN LAW (WHO'S HELPING ME WITH ALL THIS IN REGARDS TO MY WIFE'S TICKET) HE IS UNABLE TO GIVE A CREDIT BACK OR REIMBURSEMENT OF MY MONEY BECAUSE OF THE SPECIAL BBQ AN SWAG BAG DEAL. BUT WOULD MAKE A EXCEPTION AN CHANGE THE INFORMATION ON THE TICKET OVER INTO WHO EVER PURCHASES IT, THE TICKET WILL ONLY COST WHAT I PAID FOR IT, I'M NOT A SCALPER AN WOULDN'T WANT MORE THAN I PAID FOR IT, I WOULDN'T WANT ANYONE DOING THAT TO ME AN RIP ANYONE OFF FOR MORE MONEY THAN I PAID FOR IT. THE PEOPLE WHO DO THAT MAKE ME SICK! I SAY "DO UNTO OTHER AS YOU WOULD WANT THEM TO DO UNTO YOU" ALSO, MY SISTER IN LAW SAID THE GENTLEMAN TOLD HER, WHO EVER BUYS THE TICKET, STILL GETS THE SAME GREAT SEAT, THE BBQ AN THE SWAG BAG! SHE SAID THE GENTLEMAN WAS EAGER TO HELP US. HE EVEN GAVE US HIS DIRECT LINE, SO IF WE FIND A BUYER, MY SISTER IN LAW AN THE BUYER CAN CALL HIM ON 3 WAY TO GET IT COMPLETED AN MAKE SURE THERE IS NO CONFUSION OR MIX UP OR DELAY AT THE WILL CALL WINDOW AT THE VENUE. MY SISTER IN LAW SAID HE WAS VERY NICE, FRIENDLY AN EAGER TO HELP DUE TO ALL THAT'S HAPPENED. SO IF ANYONE ON HERE IS INTERESTED THEY CAN POST THERE EMAIL ADDRESS OR PHONE NUMBER ON MY WIFE'S PROFILE, SHE WILL EMAIL YOU WITH ALL THE DETAILS AN THE PRICE OF THE TICKET OR IF PREFERRED CALL THE INTERESTED PERSON. WE REALLY ARE IN NEEDING TO GET THIS TICKET SOLD FAST DUE TO THE MOUNTING HOSPITAL BILLS AN OTHER BILLS OF OURS ALSO. I WILL NOT POST IT ON ANY OTHER SITE TO SELL IT UNTIL SUNDAY. UPDATE ON MY WIFE, This is James Shell's husband again. after a very rough an nerve wracking past few days. she was moved out of ICU this morning to more like a regular room(they say critical care room but the only thing different is they come in an mess with her an piss her off more often than they would in a regular room), later in the afternoon after they did the surgery to remove the steel rod from her femur an replace it with what the Dr said was more comfortable pins. She said at one of the few times she has been awake since the surgery("MORE COMFORTABLE HER ASS"..LOL) She had a set back again one of her kidneys stop functioning after the surgery. they are doing there best to figure out why but no one is telling me anything for sure, she's also mobile with her arm an speech is a lot worse, its looks as though she may have had a some kind of stroke or something an the doctor's are testing her for everything now. she has so many i cant keep up with them all so every time one comes in when I'm here with her i write there name down. I'm fixing to demand them to move her to a better trauma hospital, i hate to because its 60 miles one way to get there, but i think she needs better care than what she has got here at our local "cracker jack box hospital". Did get a tiny bit of good news from artist arena i will post it soon as can, another doctor messing with her now gotta run..god bless you all and keep praying...James
