Summer event season is in full swing in the Quad City area. And as the events go on, so does severe weather.
Event organizers must plan for any possible weather conditions. Burlington Steamboat Days President and Des Moines County Sheriff, Mike Johnson, said organizers run through exercises with emergency management crews.
"We think of all possible scenarios that could happen at Steamboat Days," he said.

Who here is going to this show? I am working on getting a ticket to this show. Watching a few on ebay. And i keep checking ticketbastard.
I have the day of and have never seen Seger live. Seems like a good thing to do if i can get the ticket i want. I don't necessarily have to be on the floor. I would just like to have a good view of the show and have a good time. I work the next day so i won't be out all night afterwards but i might have a few drinks before the show depending how quick i get down to Nashville...
I see many tickets on ebay for some crazy assed prices i can not and will not pay. I almost just got me 2 tickets on the floor for $95 total. My damn computer wasn't going as fast as i want it to. I am gonna keep checking them. There is another ticket that is cheap and decent i may try to snatch soon. One fucker wants over $1700 per ticket. I really thinkn scalpers need to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. TO me it is criminal what they do. Some will say well you got a choice and they offer a service. BULLFUCKINGSHIT is what i got to say to that. Those tickets could be in a fans hands @ face value...Instead the poor hapless scalper is gonna eat most of those tickets...

I'll be seeing Seger on 5/19 in Detroit...there's a bit of a buzz that Kid might be there, but I highly doubt it...he has the day off, but is in Alberta, Canada the day before and the day after...Seger Rocks so I'll have a great time regardless....

Funny thing is there was this guy on ebay i made an offer to for a front row seat. He had it listed @ $450. I offered him $65 and he was like for $350 i will sell it to you and meet you there. I said sorry later. I will pick up my ticket @ the show. See @ Bridgestone you don't have to pay much of a service fee if you pay for the ticket there. It is like $2.50, heck of a lot better then ticketbastard. I should have faked my way to the front row tricking staff when they looked @ my ticket. I knew there was an open seat. Nothing wrong with moving up if there is an open seat no one is there for.

I went. And yeah Rock was there! I was thinking man i hope he shows. Even went to Tootsie's afterwards for a bit hoping he would show there too. I had to split as i had a long drive ahead of me and had to get rest to work today so i can pay for all the $ i dropped last night.
Seger put on an excellent show. I was main floor sec 4 row 15. I bought the ticket @ about 7:30 pm and walked in. I gotta say i was impressed dude can still get down and bad. Played a nice long set. I am gonna set up that angelfire account if it isn't a pay site and do nice concert review with photos in the next few days. Right now i don't have the time with working. Wanted to hit Jack's on my way in but i didn't have time. I might have missed part of the show. And that shit ain't happening. I will sacrifice eating to see a good show. I also gotta pull the set list off the internet. I could have put it in my phone but i was too busy enjoying the show. And i am pretty damn sure it will be posted online anyways...

Bob seger just added one more show to his tour. He is playing grand rapids again on may 28th. There is talk of a possible saginaw show also.
Yeah i watching falling prices all over. Ebay and stubhub are the two main sites i am watching. As well as ticketbastards. Stubhub has a good seat for under face value now. I am waiting as i just finally got a call for something to be delivered that i was supposed to get yesterday. Well it is coming tomorrow. I am supposed to get it by 2 pm. It may be a chore to get it in the garage. Least i will have 2 other ppl to help @ least.
Anyway i ain' t buying a ticket until that all is settled and done. Not gonna buy one then find out i gotta do something else and i just wasted my money. I really wanna see Seger don't get me wrong. Hell i done did all the leg work seeking tickets out and finding the best places for that. I just have been waiting on this delivery and such for awhile.

The best that pops is in 101 in row N seat 19. or that was the last best ticket i saw for the regular price of $88 and some change. That is not to say they may not lower those premium ticket prices closer to the day of sale though. That is the only reason i hesitate @ all with buying the one i found low priced. I can't pay that premium ticket price. If i had real money instead of making it and having a few dollars to go to shows i would buy the better seats but i still wouldn't be a fool about it.

@ajay try ticketmaster. I just checked them before posting this. ticketmaster is selling them at almost triple the original price. There were some available in the premium rows 6-7. @ $214.00 per ticket. Good luck.
