I applaud your concern and awareness regarding ticket price gouging. I understand the concept of a free market and that the value of a concert ticket is based on what someone is willing to pay for it: however, my understanding stops when brokers, ticket houses, and scalpers hoard the majority of tickets and up the price so high that it literally out-prices the regular working guy who is a true fan from getting close to a ticket. Service cost add-ons for any particular ticket venue, i.e., handling, shipping, overhead, I can understand, but going from say a $60 seat per ticket to $ $350 for the same seat is far from okay. I read your blog tonight, Bob, and I'm goin to jump on your bandwagon to help find a solution. I'm 50 yrs old (Wow, typing that out seems so old!) and have been a fan since Cocky released. I've been blessed to see you in concert twice so far, once in a large venu and once in a small venue both in NorCal. Both times I paid actual ticket price. I was lucky but it took me much diligence and perseverence, not to mention patience, to not jump on the first jacked up ticket in front of me for my great want to see you perform, but it paid off. I wish you could do more in Northern California and more small venues, but I understand that you're only one person and can only do so much! Too bad! My run is not over seeing you perform, at least not until you sign my Kid Rock sponsored Doug Kuletta Dragster! Drag racing and your music are two of my favortie past times so even if I have to put them on my "bucket list" so be it. I'll keep in touch on this blog site when I have any info or ideas on keeping the tickets out of the greedy hands of profiteers. Keep on making my life fullfilled through your music, Kid--You Rock! This buckeye girl did not like Kid Rock for a while, but over time I have became a huge fan. KR is on my favorites list. I am glad I decided to actually listen closer to his music. I sure wont hold it over him for being a Wolverine..LOl.. Like many of you have said on here it will be nice to see a true blue bonified fan win !

I definitly entered i have never been to a concert & to see you for my first one would blow my mind.i live 5 minutes from ford field & cant get tickets cause they sold out so fast,i know its not your fault,i;m not a lucky person but i entered anyway..you brought me back to music i havent been into music since the 80's.i;m keeping my fingers crossed i win the sweepstakes!!!! It would be so amazing to win the contest!!! My husband was able to see him in concert in December of 2008 while serving in Kosovo. Not only was he able to see him perform but, he got to meet him and talk with him for a while. Later that morning I was also able to meet him via webcam!! I am so grateful for all the support he has and does show towards our troops!!! I know that visit helped a lot of them get through those last few months before being able to return home to their families!!! Thank you Thank you for all you do!! Katrina Hill :0)
