    Who Has KID~'Turned U On To' ?

Anyone else out there start listening to other artists after a 'Nod' from our Man ?

This should be interesting, since Bob crosses so many genres

    ... as for myself ...

Eminem, Lil Wayne, Jamey Johnson, Justin Bieber ( Never say Never 3D), of course Uncle Kracker and yes ...The Zac Brown Band

Probably i would say Kracker. I had Double Wide prior to any KR. But after hearing RNRJ i said when Kracker puts out another one it will be in my collection. Bought Happy Hour due to that. That is an excellent cd right there. I tried to get into Jamey Johnson but didn't get to hear it. Listen to Zac Brown a bit. Wanna get a listen to Ty Stone more then the one song/video i saw of his by way of link from here. Kracker is a great guy btw. Met him asked for an autograph for my neices graduation. He obliged i told him her mom wouldn't let me bring her to the Limelight. He looked a little puzzled. I didn't get the chance to tell him it was her 8th grade graduation and her mother is an avid church goer...I tried to talk my sister in law into to. Was a no go...

Kind of renewed my liking of say Seger, Hank, and a few others. Did turn me onto to KR earlier work as well.

I hadn't heard of Jamey Johnson until Rock covered his tune "In Color". or Jason Aldean before LowLife. (didn't even realize Lowlife was a cover until Rock came out with "Fuckin 40").

R Kelly..esp his latest CD love letters.. for me it has a sort of ray charles feel to it..long gone r those days of music n its nice that someone has brought some of that back..just to bad the songs dont get much radio play. But then a gain neither does KR..guess now adays alot of the radio market is about the same ol top 40 shit over n over n over again..blah!

Nice 'comments' everyone :) So True !
DEPTH raises the standard! & Rock surely 'Knows a GOOD THING~When he SEES/HEARS IT " !!!
Rev Run's words hold so true, even in this discussion .. 'Kid Brings People Together' :)))

NOT SO MUCH WHO. BUT QUALITY MUSIC HE HAS TURNED A LOT OF PEOPLE ON TO. JUST LISTEN TO THE RADIO. 95% OF THE SHIT THATS PLAYED IS TOTAL CRAP.. PICK UP A KID ROCK CD, A ZAC BROWN CD, A JAMEY JOHNSON CD ALL YOU HEAR IS TRUE MUSIC, FROM THE HEART MUSIC. MUSIC THAT YOU CAN FEEL!!!! NOT EVERYBODY CAN PRODUCE MUSIC LIKE THAT..

Interesting question~
I have always been fairly well versed in music. but I never had any deep love of Country or Hip Hop. I've learned more about Country through KR for sure, though I still have no deep love of it.

but through KR I've met a handful of people I truly care about, a couple of which have given me a fascinating education in rap & hip hop, which I have developed a huge appreciation and love for. But more importantly these are friends who have seriously impacted my life for the better. That, along with the great music he produces, is what KR has given me that I cherish the most.

I come from a pretty musically diverse background. Kid just really helped cultivate a love of hip hop for me. I had heard of pretty much everyone already. However hip hop was something that I wasn't really into. I loved how quick he could rhyme and that made me curious about other artists. So then developed a love for the music.

Definitely Zac Brown! He's my second favorite singer/songer. Love his booming voice. Saw him at Pine Knob last summer and Kid came out and sang "Can't You See." WYCD radio in Detroit recorded it and plays the duet periodically. I would love for Kid or Zac to put it on an album.
