IF IT LOOKS GOOD
YOU'LL SEE IT
IF IT SOUNDS GOOD
YOU'LL HEAR IT
IF IT'S MARKETED RIGHT
YOU'LL BUY IT
BUT...IF IT'S REAL YOU'LL FEEL IT
Yes it has been a staple of his past cd's/albums I know from Devil Without A Cause (1998)it is on that cd and any ones released since then. Early Mornin' Stoned Pimp, (1996) not sure if it was on that. Earlier releases Polyfuze and Grits IDK . I am sure he has been using it for a very long time!!
I only have a physical copy of RNRJ and yeah it has it. Has that been his staple for years?
>>>says to Missy: Yeah you are probably right. The line in Born Free set it up.
Question for those who have KR fans longer then me. Has he always put something in the inside of the booklet like: If if looks good you'll see, If it tastes good you'll eat it, If sounds good you'll hear it, and If it's marketed right you'll buy it.
lol I love Kid Rock, and I love getting these lyrics correct... but I'll take riding my bike over this ANY day, girl! hope you been having fun. the sun is out and spring is in the air. its awesome!
But my bike is getting fitted with saddle bags this weekend, so I'm digging in the garden and correcting lyrics. :-)

Your Welcome Jade, noticing your postin Polyfuze. Thanx, I posted here, so I didn't interupt your post.
I think in Forty song on the Bruce Springsteen line I forgot *is*
Sorry really haven't been around, been out riding a lot :)) Beautiful Scenary, Great days. So I had a Harley in between my legs St Patty's day. lol Now I am behind in work, so here I am trying to play catch-up.
Anyhow, when you can't find a post, (like the 1st one you started) I forget what you named it. I have been posting lyrics in the EXPRESS THE KID IN YOU CATEGORY. This way I can find what I posted faster. Hope that helps.
hey folks! thanks Missy!! I hadn't even got around to thinking about these yet, so awesome! lol
There is a line in God Bless Sat, he says "Losin' my mind, watchin' Father Time" so he was thinking about that while writing these songs.
Ajay, my thoughts is because of the Forty and Slow My Roll talk about aging, hence Racin Father Time as a title, jmo.
No, I am not the bearer of bad news, His father did not pass, just lyrics.
Yes, there were only 4 songs on this CD, bonus tracks to Born Free (album)
Very Laid back Disc.
I think it is interesting he put this out. Wonder how he came up with the title Racing Father Time? There is only 4 songs on there right? The altered part of Slow My Roll is kind of cool. Not to be an ass but has his father really passed. I feel kind of bad i really don't know. It is sad if he has.
Midwest Fall
Listen to the wind, lonesome is the sound
Blowing in changes, and breakin through this town
Listen to the heartbeart, heartland's barely breathing
Hope and faith are still alive but jobs are steady leaving
It chills me to the bone, brings a tear to my eye
Like the last days of summer gone, it's hard to watch a good thing die
In the days of my youth, there was dancing in the streets
Ford was building motor cars, and folks were building dreams
Round the clock, day and night working hards a way of life
As I recall
It chills me to the bone, brings a tear to my eye
Like the last days of summer gone, it's hard to watch a good thing die
It's the Midwest Fall, blue collar life
Staring at December, dreaming 'bout July
The Midwest Fall, dreams get blown away
It's hard to take the Midwest Fall
My grandpa was a union man, my daddy watched it burn
We never had a lot, we lived off what we earned
We built the cars and tanks that helped to keep our nation free
And now I can't afford to feed my family
It chills me to the bone, brings a tear to my eye
Like the last days of summer gone, it's hard to watch a good thing die
It's the Midwest Fall blue collar life
Staring at December, dreaming 'bout July
The Midwest Fall, dreams get blown away
It's hard to take the Midwest Fall (ooh yeah, ooh no)
I can't pay my taxes, Lord, I can't afford to feed my kids
I guess I'll stay and ride it out, because you are so beautiful (yeah-hey)
The Midwest Fall, blue collar life
Staring at December, dreaming 'bout July
The Midwest Fall, dreams get blown away
It's hard to take......
(The Midwest Fall) Ooh, Don't go away
(The Midwest Fall) Dreamin, Dreamin
(The Midwest Fall) Ooh, Don't go away
It's hard to take
Please don't go away
You are so beautiful
The Midwest Fall
The Midwest Fall
The Midwest Fall
Lonely Road Of Faith (Alternate Version)
Up and down that Lonely Road of Faith
I have been there
Un-prepared for the storms and the tides that rise
I've realized one thing, how much I love you
And it hurts to see, to see you cryin
I believe we can make it through the winds of change (change change)
Whoo ooo ooo ooo
Wooo ooo ooo
God is great indeed
If you believe, In the ever-life (yeah we got-to)
Make some sense of the pieces that we found (ooh no-ooh no)
And if you just hold on, I won't let you fall (I won't let you fall. noo)
We can make it through the storms and winds of change
(Change-change-change-change-change)
Wooo ooo ooo, ooo ooo ooo
No -No- Oh No
Hey hey hey
Wooo ooo ooo
No No (No No)
Though I walk through the valley of darkness, I am not afraid (I am not afraid)
Wooo ooo ooo, ooo ooo
Wooo ooo ooo, ooo ooo
On this Lonely Road of Faith
On this Lonely Road of Faith
FORTY
Well I guess I'm freakin Forty
I can't say that I'm thrilled
I never dated Winona Ryder
I probably never will
Well I guess I'm freakin forty
Oh but I'm better off then some
Well I might be freakin forty
But your freakin forty-one
Well I guess I'm freakin forty
Now all the kids call me ole' man
I need glasses, and alka seltzer and a freakin prostrate exam
I guess I'm freakin forty
But I'm better off that you
I might be freakin forty
But your freakin forty-two
Alright
Well I guess I'm freakin forty
Well I'm a petered-out Peter Pan
And sometimes I feel foolish
I make my living, singin in this band
I guess I'm freakin forty
That's what my mama said
But Bruce Springsteen freakin sixty-two
And The Stones are almost dead
Well I guess I'm Freakin forty
I can't say that I'm thrilled
Still I'm a buck wild loving cowboy
I don't need them little blue pills
I guess I'm freakin forty
But it ain't no thang to me
Well I might be freakin forty
Hell I'm lying I'm forty-three
Yee-Haw
SLOW MY ROLL (PORCH VERSION)
There's a new day on the horizon
There's a rising in the air
Somewhere, somebody's trying to tell me, they care
So I'm a lift my head to a new day
Plant my feet on the ground
Look at life in a new way and what's going down
'Cause today's the day, I'm gonna take things slow
Maybe change my ways, forgive and let all that go
And tell the ones I love, what they need to know
I'm gonna turn around, settle down
Slow my roll
Mixing loneliness and whiskey
Heartache and cocaine
Living life like a gypsy, lost and ashamed
So I'm a look to the Lord, as my witness
Rest my hat on a shelf
Trade these boots for forgiveness and find myself
'Cause today's the day, I'm gonna take things slow
Maybe change my ways, forgive and let all that go
Tell the ones I love, what they need to know
I'm gonna turn around, settle down
And I wish I told my father before he died
All the things that I kept hid down deep inside
No more will I fall to foolish around, no oh no
And today's the day, I'm gonna take things slow
Change my ways, forgive and let all that go
Tell the ones I love, what they need to know
I'm gonna turn around, settle down, and Slow My Roll
Slow My Roll
Slow My Roll
Slow My Roll
Slow My Roll
Slow..My..Roll
Slow My Roll
