I've been to Graceland Twice, One back in 1990 with my parents before they passed away..My mom was the president of Elvis Presley Fan Club back in the 50's she loved Elvis....Then i went back in 2009 with my husband.... Graceland is awesome...I think Kid Rock is Awesome, and who better to be the first to perform there then Kid Rock....

That is so awesome. I have been to Graceland three times and they are great people that work there. You got to stand in the Jungle Room. If I were famous THAT is the moment I would know I had made it. Much love to you Kid.

IF U HAD 5 MINUTES ALONE WITH KID ROCK? Posted by Lady Viper on February 20, 2010 at 10:26am in Kid Rock Discussion Community.Kid Rock.com - reese said: "i would tell him how much his music has helped me and let him know that i have defended him to so many people even told a girl to get the fuck out of my car for talking crap he is my idol in alot of ways but to be honest if i were to get the chance to meet him i probably wouldnt really no what to say but mostly tell him thanks for a good ride this far and please keep up the awesome work oh yeah and i would thank him for all the great friends i have met because of him" - D said: ? for you Reese, if you don't mind...Do you think Kid realized that his gifts and talents came through in his 'score composure' as much as it does? I'll try that again...Do you think Kid realized that his song-writing, vocals, and raw chords were not his only instruments when playing from his heart? He said he composes his music. His 'composing' is absent on "Born Free". IF that was another element that people 'felt' was Real...with that not being developed and solidified on this CD, it may leave some "fans" with an uneasy 'feeling'/ an unfamiliar. uncomfortable and unidentifiable 'void' (for lack of a better word.) am I way off? - Reply by adena dodds 6 hours ago "Wow D, I must have felt it right from the start. It's real, it's real I can feel it, It's real. Is this for real? Like me and my mom always said, it's surreal. That's it it's surreal!" ________________________________________________________________________________ God works in mysterious ways, Bob. May this be a Blessing to you. Merry Christmas :) Fitting post for "Graceland" ~ don't ya think? :)

Would absolutely love to hear Kid Rock sing one of the King's best "Kentucky Rain". Add the soulful gravel in Kid's voice to this beautiful yet powerful rockin ballad would be a winner for sure! LEZZ GO! Like so many I have been a 'King' fan most of my life; I was blessed to be able to visit Graceland to celebrate my first wedding anniversary. And like many others, I, too, cried. The graves just kicked my @ss! Many thanks to Graceland, to 'Cilla and Lisa Marie, and to everybody else that keep the doors open for us. Hope to be back soon!

I am watching "Elvis on Tour" and caught sight of your post. I would also love to hear you cover an Elvis song. You have the voice and depth to do your own version, but the combination would be red hot.

By the way I am 69 years old and have been a fan of Elvis since I"ve been 13 years old. I think you should do an Elvis song.I vote on "you gave me a mountain" I think you can do it and think it would be very awesome.

I found it.love the pictures ,can just imagine being there, but I know I will never get there but guess I can keep on dreaming I went 33 years without listening to him cause I know the pain would be so hurtful but I accidently came across one of his songs on you tube it was " you gave me a mountain" beautiful, and have been listening to his music since then.Elvis and You are my favorite entertainers, for real, my favorite "All summer long". Thanks for listening I know you yourself will probally never read this cause I know you are very very busy.Merry Christmas, Love you, Sharon from San Antone.

Yep, he is right. Took my daughter there last year for her 16th birthday. My friend and I had to pull her away. She cried! It is amazing there and yes, I agree with some others..Kid Rock doing an Elvis song! Definitely!

I saw Elvis in person in 1975 and have been to Graceland several times now all I want is to meet Kid Rock for my 60th Birthday in October of next year, that would be so awsome

Awesome! I live in Memphis and the first time I went to Graceland, I literally cried. Very overwhelming! I was in a movie as an extra with Harvey Keitel names "Finding Graceland" and it was a great experience. I agree with the last post, you should really do an Elvis Song... maybe Lawdy Miss Clawdy! That sounds like it would be a great fit for you. I am a HUGE fan of your music and loved the photo with Hank in Alabama! Very down to earth and enjoying the little things in life. Good for you!

Man, that would have been a trip worth taking. You know you really shoud do a remake of one of Elvis' songs. I know it would be a really big hit. I would go for it. Keep on rocking.

GRACELAND AND MEMPHIS ARE BOTH ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! I'm a huge Elvis fan and I go every January(Elvis' bday) and August(anniversary of Elvis' death). Memphis is so rich with not just Elvis' musical and personal history but so much more musical and personal history of so many great musicians. It is a must visit for anyone who LOVES and APPRECIATES wonderful timeless music!

I went there a couple of years ago and it was better then I could have ever imagined! You really do have to experience it yourself to get it. It's so awesome that you got to do this! You have definitely earned it.

probably not as cool as Awesomeville!

The jungle room is my favorite room. There used to be a piano in there but that isn't the reason. (lol) Did you get that deja vu or Vuja de when yo were there? You should do a remake of one of his songs (with me!) lol
