OMG! This show rocked! KR sang all the parts to Care (I got it on video, woot woo). Really enjoyed the new rendation of ASL (taped it 2) and his singing lady Shannon sang a sultry soulful sound in Collide...Ive been to a few KR show's; Friday's show was top notch.

The winstar show friday was very stripped down and basic, it was still awesome as all of kr-tbt shows are. No pyro, no dancers, no flash. Kid opened with r&r jesus and just played song after song great. I think he only spoke 4 times and only a few words each time. After a couple of songs he thanked everyone for coming out, a little later he asked where the fuck is thackerville anyway- am I in Oklahoma or Texas, later he asked the crowd guess what- whan the crowd said what, he replied you never met a mother fucker quite like me, and before the encore he asked everyone to focus on the sax player for the star spangled banner leading into born free. I enjoy the as he refers to himself sometimes "frisky" kid rock who banters with the crowd and verbally spars with different band members, but a solid 2 hour show with very little talking and a lot of good music was a pleasant surprise. Overall a very great show where I heard a couple of songs that have rarely been played in the 20+ times I have seen the band before. The low point of the night for me was the playing of all summer long with kid holding moraccas(however you spell it) and his second drummer on bongos). Very tribal sounding (not bad, just different). Myself I prefer the big stadium shows to the smaller theatre shows, but I'm glad I didn't miss this one. Well worth 10 hours of driving for my TBT fix, and I won enough @ the casino to cover my expenses (always a plus).

What night and where are you located?

I wondered about an opener too. With the show starting @ 9, I doubt there's an opener. He usually takes stage between 8:50 and 9:05 @ the shows I've been to.
