A Robin Hood pact with promoter Live Nation on ancillary coin might redefine the concert biz

Where I grew up, there were no rich people. No bankers, no rightwing titans ranting the poor were lazy and the government was taking all their hard-earned money. Some dads worked for the electric company, others sold insurance or held blue-collar jobs.
I know! Let's just turn on some Kid Rock to help forget about it all. ; )
Shut it, that's thanks to NAFTA-
I'm assuming since the product is American, the profit comes back here, even if the labor is done there.
Now we're talking American Jobs vs. Foreign....
How did it all get so complicated?
My American car was made in Mexico City.
KRA, I like your comment.
All foriegn products that are in direct competition with american made should be taxed out of business
KRA, student visas are a big problem. I used to work for a college; the visas are very hard to track once the 'student' is in the USA. Guess who abuses this? The terrorists. This makes it unfair for the many foreign students that are here for legit reasons.
I like the pee in a cup idea you mentioned here or in GB post..
I'd like to be high all of the time too, but guess what, I need a job and I'm a parent--it's called responsibility. I'm not willing to support anyone's a$$ jsut because they aren't up to the challenge. Become a citizen, but you probably shouldn't move here if you don't like the way we do most things-why bother? I wouldn't.
I don't think we can combat the foreign trade topic-too much of a world economy. it makes for good competition, but for heaven's sake, ppl, Buy American. Our products are good. Don't fool yourselves; if you buy foreign, the PROFIT goes back to the foreign country, even if the PLANT it's assembled at is HERE.
Suck ittttt
All im thinkin is......Free for All - Ted Nuggent
Heres what I would like to see happen.
All the troops are called home.
All the student Visas are cancelled
Visas incomeing and outgoing are given for no more than 2 weeks
If you arent a citizen By By
No more aid to foriegn disaters..
No more foriegn trade. Make due with what u got
World You are on your own!!!!!!
The sheeple voted for Obama cuz Oprah told them too! ; ) BTW Oprah, that's abuse of power! Just sayin.
I do think we should take into consideration the differences in the cultures we are dealing with and not force-feed our ideology upon another country if the ppl there have no way of understanding within their own cultural framework what we are trying to do. This was a problem in Iraq. I do think we have an obligation to help if asked. What if we see oppression and do nothing? Isn't that the same as saying we agree with the wrongdoing?
It sounds as if you feel that our reasons for war are more insidious than just helping other countries; ie. financially motivated (Vietnam comes to mind?) i don't know for certain that is the truth; and let's face it, anyone can spin anything and make it seem like the real deal. That is why I don't feel I am qualified to say one way or the other. I wish I did.
There are soldiers that will tell you we shouldn't be there, and others that will tell you big strides have been made for the ppl because we were/are there. My neighbor was a Marine sniper scout in Iraq, and saw a lot of good being done. My friend's daughter was asked to leave the military (Navy) due to cuts the current administration made because she had become 'too expensive' to keep around (by all means, let's get rid of our most experienced military--that's smart!)
We agree on on thing--Obama lied! If you voted for him b/c he was going to end the war and bring our troops home, I feel for you. I'm mad b/c he is cutting our military and he is supposed to be Commander in Chief? What do your friends in arms think about that? Mine feel VERY uneasy.
I will always respect his office. I probably won't agree with most of what hee says or does. He is still the President of this country, and I respect that, even if I have a difference of opinion.
MAY GOD ALWAYS BLESS & PROTECT OUR TROOPS!
FYI...Last fall i droped all books but one when a "professeor" asked, what does "mear pleasure of tranigable artifacts of refined workmanship" mean......It was my was of exspressing how our/us goverment taks priority over textiles that mutilate our earth....
its a business...War that is
"What about all of those out there who believe 9/11 didn't happen the way the media and gov't wants us to think it happened?"
I take it you're a conspiracy theorist? If so, I can't really get in a conversation with you.
Thousands of Americans died because of an attack on our country ON OUR SOIL!!! You suggest we should just sit back and take it on the chin?!!!
My view: A foothold in the Middle East, i.e. Iraq, (vs. the Persian Gulf) makes it easier to get to the enemy in Afghanistan and Pakistan. The world (and Iraq) is a better place without Insane Hussein. And, you haven't heard from Osama as of late because the poor fool billionaire is a cave-dweller and runnin scared -- that's why!!
"They sent him to war instead of school like he was told."
If you sign up to be a soldier -- guess what, you may just get called to "DUTY"!!!! The GI Bill is a benefit of being a soldier, NOT the reason someone should sign up to be a soldier!!!
And lastly: Murderers?!!!!!! Uggh!!!!!! If it weren't for our brave soldiers you'd be speaking fucking German right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Big smile :-)) , I like!!
Can i get a shot out to section 2 row 6...will be the section havin the most fun..guarunteedy!!
..but dont be surprised if i dont have one..im flyin solo tonight and my pants are pretty tight!..youll just have to look for the girl with the big smile on her face
maybe if everyone opened their minds just a little bit and opened the idea that what we, as a country, are doing to other countries is humiliating and disgusting! And when I say we....i mean our military, our gov't and our politicians! We, the people, can and should voice our opinion and every single person in this nation needs to wake up and let their voice be heard, whether it's for or against war. Most people are sleeping now a days, wrapped up in their material world to really know what is going on around them, they don't care, and those are the people we need to wake up and see what is happening, with numbers, there is power, just ask the military!!
vote and vote other than just republican/democrat, there is so much more to politics than party!
KRCVal.......its sad, I agree. and these are just a handful of stories!!
one thing that bothers me is this:
I can't speak to agreeing or disagreeing with the war itself. I don't feel qualified to comment. If you asked me my opinion, I would tell you we are doing the right things for the right reasons. I will always support our soldiers...............
this comment is like so many others that I have heard. Why do you not feel qualified to comment? Do you not pay your taxes? Do you not have a voice that should be heard? I think you do. I think we all do. If people don't like what they see yet fail to make an informed decision and voice it, than my suggestion is to go out and seek info, and what are the right reasons and right things, I mean these are people we are talking about...young men/women who have thier whole life ahead of them.....why should we ask them to sacrifice their lives for nothing? If you watch the video and hear what these veterans have to say, you can tell that there is a small handful of individuals who are not afraid to point the finger at their military and be ashamed of their job. Have you ever researched what we are doing over there? Why are we over there? 9/11? What about all of those out there who believe 9/11 didn't happen the way the media and gov't wants us to think it happened? and if it was under false pretences, ...it is my belief that we were led to believe we needed this war, and it's all a lie to get over there and overpower their country. I haven't heard ANYTHING about Osama in years...isn't that the main reason we wer supposed to be there? And this informed decision really has nothing to do with our soldiers, other than I want them home, but our gov't, our military............they are completely out of control and someone needs to pull the reins back on them! Obama is spending out of control and keep deploying more troops!! He promised us he would bring them home....LIAR!
Ur right thire asses should be in the country they are citizens of
Heather, I agree that the way our military are treated in certain circumstances is deplorable. I HATE to hear whent they are not being taken care of in regard to medical, housing, pay, etc. They deserve so much more.
I can't speak to agreeing or disagreeing with the war itself. I don't feel qualified to comment. If you asked me my opinion, I would tell you we are doing the right things for the right reasons. I will always support our soldiers, as do you, it sounds like.
PS I'm proud to say we have a 50 foot flagpole with an 8x12 Old Glory blowing at our house!!
and Video......I am a working American, born here, I pay my taxes, I vote, I pay attention to the world news, I have EVERY right to consider that what I am hearing from soldiers and to make an informed opinion on why this war is NOT RIGHT or necessary! I care about the americans dying over there right now. I care!
I have a friend who was in desert storm, he is a bit disabled now and no military pension or anything, they sent him to war instead of school like he was told would happen when they came recruiting at his school. No help whatsoever with anything---housing, nothing!!!! no medical, nothing!!!! But he served his time during war!
video.......the NSA? I'm human, I care what is happening to our men and women. I see the destruction over there, I see the anger, I see the hurt the US is causing over there. I don't have to be part of the NSA to know what is necessary and what isn't. Killing families and bombing villages, orders to kill anyone that you feel is a threat? Who the hell are we to be taking peoples lives into our own hands? Why should a soldier be able to shoot someone out of suspicion that they may be hostile? That is murder, my friend.
Angel....maybe your family/friends were in a different troop/branch than the soldiers in this video.
My father was a Korean War veteran, a very proud soldier, a career soldier, but when he would drink, he would speak the truth about what he did and how ashamed he was. His troops murdered innocent families. We have pics of him holding children that were orphaned b/c of the destruction of their village. I remember asking my dad why he was holding the boy, and I remember him telling me b/c I had just killed his mommy and daddy. I remember thinking....wow, my dad killed someone. He never wanted my brother to join the military either, he urged him not to!
I do feel that many soldiers turn their heads b/c of the whole pride thing with being in the military and some may get off on the oppression they are causing and don't see anything wrong with what they are doing to the people they are invading, many of them believe that they are fighting an honest war, it's far from honest!!! talk to may desert storm veterans and see the troubles they have from things they were exposed to (chemicals, etc) only to come home and live a very troubled/painful life.
unless you work for the NSA, or the pentagon .....i dont think you really know whats neccessary, and what isnt.
I am sure there may be some that feel the way you have stated. I have many soldiers in my Family and many more that are friends. none of them have ever expressed these feelings to me. They are very proud of the work they are completing. Training the Iraqi police to take over building Hosp schools water treatment plants. Helping to prepare the iraqi people to self govern.
I would like to bring our troops home as well. Because its costing too much in lives and Money that we can not afford But The soldiers I talk to want to complete there missions.
Jus sayin
hmmmm....wonders if people here in America would point fingers to bad guys so quick....even if threats of attacking entire community.
This war is not right! Real stories from soldiers and how they are ashamed of themselves for what they have done b/c of orders is reality. Bombing entire villages b/c nobody will rat out the bad guys is brutal and unnecessary. We are making our fine men and women who wear the uniform into murderers.
iN A RECENT INTERVIEW,Rock was talking about how hard it is for our troops to go into a village and find the bad guys cause everyone is afraid to rat them out. His suggestion was to ask the people to point out the bad guys and if they wouldnt.... blow the town to kingdom come. The next village when They ask where the bad giys are they might get a better response.......
should I blog this or is it ok to be on general topic page? sorry if I posted in wrong spot.
