    Am wondering who I would get ahold of in regard to Kid helping out a Cheer Team based in Cheboygan Michigan. These 33 boys and girls ranging in age from 6 to 18 have competed and qualified for teh U.S. Cheerleadign Finals to be held in April in Virginia Beach. We have been fundraising for a couple of months and are stills hort of our goal. I as the head coach am determined to get these kids to Virginia for thsi once in a lifetime opportunity. Am open to any fundraising ideas or suggestions that you could give. These kids are all abotu hard work...have done pop can drives, bake sales, sold tupperware, krispy kreme donuts, jewelry,party lite candles, candy and had 2 benefit dinner including a taco bar and lasagna benefit dinner. Would love to have Kid come for a benefit concert but realize that that it out of the normal realm of possibility. Please contact Head Coach Judy Drielts@ judydrielts@yahoo.com if you can think of any way that youcan help...Thank you

@Angel :)
I hada 4 month leadtime, but hopefully Judy can get some or most of the $ she needs--she could even lower the amounts if she thinks they are too high for Sponsors.

Val We did the same thing for our Band kids and raised over $5000. Good luck to them

Hi Judy,
Have you tried getting the local paper to write a story about your kids? This would further alert the community about your goal, and then you could ask for donations, too.

Also, see if you can get some of the parents to join you in forming an Underwriting Committee.
This group would be responsible for calling local businesses to see if they could sponsor your team.
You could have different levels like: Gold: $500.00 sponsor, Silver, $250.00 sponsor, or Bronze, $100.00 sponsor. Along with that, make sure the businesses know ANY donation would be appreciated and acknowledged. Then, get the local paper to sponsor a page for you to list all of the businesses that contributed to your cause, and follow up with an article and pictures about the trip after you go. Make sure someone sends thank-you letters to the businesses that donate, as well.
I was able to raise $10,000.00 this way one year for a local organization.
Good luck! Your kids sound like hard workers.
