On Christmas day, it seems I blew the engine on my car. I will be unloading my Kid Rock collectibles, Paradime Collectibles, and TBT Collectibles. My Car is going to cost me 3 Grand to repair, and I need all the funds I can to make sure I have a vehicle. So, in the upcoming days, be ready to bid, donate, and help a cause much greater then u may think. I am also organizing a benefit show...
Happy Trails
To-shay Shut-it! All though I can understand the frustration on the people that are not able to make it, I think you really need to think this thru more clearly. I believe in my heart if he could get out of doing the show, HE WOULD...I don't think he wants to put anyone in harms way, and I really wouldn't be surprised if he posts here to explain it all to you guys!
He has a family, he knows for some it's just not worth the risk for anyone to endure the weather conditions to come see him and risk there lives. But I'm sure his hands are tied due to obligation!
Oh no, shut -up, your Killin me man/ LMAO for sure, funny funny , I almost fel out of my coach!!! Well put out dude!!, oopps, !!
Promoter, Artist, Venue, or Management should just do what's right and postpone it.....costs for postponement versus lost fans is a huge difference. You've got the economy still suffering and we've spent hard earned money to attend....why should we have to pay for a show we didn't see because of closed highways..
Hey, sure Insurance yu should know, really if yu use it and can what happens, yes life sometimes is crap also, sorry for yu man. Weather is weather, who knows move down south or just put a snow plow on it. i know just a bad situation, but one thing is for sure, like insurance, is we Love Kid's Music/ ahh My Music man!!
Hey Big whiners in Little Rock -- surprise -- Kid Rock, TBT, and his crew have been IN this blizzard for weeks now!! And guess what, no show has ever been canceled by him and thousands of fans show up, despite the conditions. I've gone to two shows this year; both were below freezing and I traveled thousands of miles to go.
Do you think he might have a contractual obligation to show up?! Hopefully he never tours again in the winter. His son, his family, his friends and his fans don't want him out in these conditions, and can't helped but be worried for him and his crew!! For those of you that call him greedy -- Fuck You!! Go away, he can obviously go on without you!
Curious? Do your tickets say "rain or shine"?! Which of course means rain, shine, ice, snow, hail . . . Know what you're buying you dumb fucks! Stay home, stay warm, stay safe. And, while you're at it, send out a prayer -- you selfish bastards!! One last thing -- SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!!
Look for what it is worth Kid r Angel is right her. RjR (Kid Rock) has a binding obligation to make this show, there has to be something way gone wrong, tiff tiff, man ya;ll get your panties out of a wad, he'll be there. Hey I know about the Fanship flag, yu pay your dues and yu want want, kinda what the society demands, give Kid a break, hey weather didn't keep him form the last show, I dunno if it was me yu would be aging the hell out of me, but as knowing Kid Rock inside of sorts he would be waving the ole' finger, shoot just chill and enjoy!!
Ya know I love Kid Rock, Id go to Hell and Back to see him and his show. I have attended 4 of his shows the past 5 yrs. Ive been to Memphis, Little Rock, and St. Louis to see him. What I think is bullshit is the fact that I purchased the insurance when I purchased my tickets. Well I called the ins. company to see about getting my money from the tickets refunded and they informed me that the insurance doesnt cover unpassable roads! I would have to of been in a wreck, car broke down, family death, or the concert canceled to be able to get my money back...Well whats the use of buying the insurance on tickets if you cant get a refund? Thats crap!
Im not positive but I thought Live nation was the promoter for KR shows. I could be wrong. I doubt live nation is reading on this site. I could be wrong lol
Benlr, ofcourse he gets paid but he has never taken a dishonest dolla off his fans. That is more important to him that having unhappy fans. If this were his call, he would do whats right. This is the promoters responsibility. and what about the thousands of fans that are already there. Do you peeps give a shit about them... I know several peeps that went early to avoid travelling in the crap.
to kidrockangel :The promoter for Kid Rock has access to this site, just like we do, and he is aware of this issue, he is not addressing te issue. I am sure all that can be done is NOT being done. Dissappointed but I get it; its called big business.
Just saw on the news they are NOT offering refunds. So ridiculous. I cannot believe that Verizon, the promoters, and Kid Rock cannot come up with something. This is out of the fans' hands. Great for those crazy enough to risk life and limb to get there, but the rest of us who don't want to, tough s**t.
And IT MAKES ME SICK THAT YOU ALL ARE SO QUICK TO TRASH A GUY FOR DOING HIS BEST TO PUT ON A GREAT SHOW. HE DESERVES BETTER!!!!!!!!!
car deductible is $500, no medical insurance, can't afford an accident for a concert. I remember the Dixie Chicks "messed up" and lost a huge following of fans... I'm just saying management should consider all options, I understand the tour must go on, but this is extreme. Don't you think? The cost to re-pack and reschedule would be less than the damages ignoring this will cause. I'm just stating the obvious, DUH!
i think it is poor on kid rocks maangement to have this show they are obviously have no reguard for the patrons saftey
Ok Ive done some checking and its my understanding that if Kid Rock cancels the show, He can be sued by the promoter. Its not his to cancel. Contact the promoter
i think it is totally unprofessional for kid rocks management to encourage indangering peoples life for a concert they should really rethink this
I too am a teacher and this was a planned night to be with grown ups! We bought tickets within hours of them going on sale.... I am disappointed that there is not a mutual respect.. without fans a musician is nothing. I am a long time fan and love Jamey, but as a mom, daughter, sister, and friend it is not worth my life. Sections of I-30 were closed earlier and now different sections of I-40 have big trucks blocking the road.... really? I will have to think twice about buying future albums and not just borrowing from friends. I wanted to believe that Kid was more down to earth, concerned, empathetic, and caring and surrounded himself with people who know that the fans put them where they are.... disappointed.
Just took a test drive for a few blockS down the street and couldn't tell where the road ended and the ditch began. This was in daylight. No way am I trying this tonight after dark. I was a huge Kid Rock and Jamie Johnson fan, but that is about to change. It appears as if Kid Rock and/or his team are more concerned about the money than the safety of fans.
VERY DISAPPOINTED FAN!!!
@KIDROCKANGEL that's the point. people are not going to the show, because they know it's not worth the risk, but they shouldn't lose their money over it. if the show continues, they won't be able to get a refund.
I'm sure Bob will talk soon about the problem. Just be patient...
@KIDROCKANGEL of course he cares about the money. i would. anyone would. but in this situation, he doesn't get to decide whether the concert gets to go on or not. he's getting paid the same regardless. If you're not for Arkansas, you won't know how unprepared we are for snow. I'm from Boston originally, and it's business as usual even with this amount of snow. Yes, some people don't know how to drive in snowy weather. but the roads are even unplowed in parts. Some people are coming in from rural parts of arkansas where they got 14+ inches of snow. They'll have to negotiate uncleared bridges. For the most part everyone stayed home, so there's not too many wrecks. That's not why most roads are closed. they are closed because no one's there to clear them.
From Verizon Arena's email to me: Kid Rock and his management have made the decision that tonight's concert
would go on as scheduled. While the arena does have some input, ultimately
the decision is up to them.
They have not given us any information about refunds. Please feel free to
contact us tomorrow or Friday to see if we have any additional information
regarding refunds.
it's sad because the company in charge of the tour/ verizon have some bad weather insurance to offset the cost of refunding or canceling (if it comes to it) events due to weather. that small amount of money (or any amount for that matter) isn't worth the cost of a life if someone gets into an accident on the way to little rock. i'm sure it's not up to kid rock to make the decision, but he has the power to not perform. if he doesn't perform, then they'll have to refund patrons. or at least it'll give people a chance to get a refund back from their cc company for good/services not provided
Kid Rock should be ashamed of his greed and contempt for his fans. Obviously he is not all that smart or he would have concluded easily that he is opening himself up for massive trouble on legal fronts for having contributed to the wrecks, injuries and worse that may occur with him to blame tonight! His money-grubbing is easily transparent. With the Arkansas governor having declared a state of emergency, it's very unlikely that a jury would concur with Mr. Rock that his concert had to go on and could not be postponed to better serve the public interest. Anyone with a brain can see the oncoming train wreck, that Mr. Rock cannot see. He will soon rank down there with the Great White group for having no regard for the health and safety of his fans, and will soon find himself the object of worldwide scorn!
Heartbroken that we can not get there! We live 60 miles to the north of Verizon Arena, and can't even get out of our little neighborhood. We are buried in 7" of snow and no plows will ever make it this far into the sticks! I understand that the show should go on for the fans who are already there, but for many of us it is just not possible. I hope Kid Rock will understand and use his influence with verizon or Ticketmaster or whoever, so we can at least get refunds, and get a chance to see him at a later stop. We love you Kid, and really want to see your show!
Hi all, I am reporter for the Democrat-Gazette. I am working on a story about the concert not being cancelled. I am hoping someone will read this and be willing to do a quick interview. Please e-mail me you contact info. to pquinn@arkansasonline.com and I'll call you this evening. Thanks, and good luck.
So sad that I'm not going to be there. Truly wish they would reschedule this show. This is ridiculous! I live 4 hours from little rock on a good weather day. As much as I would love to see/hear kid rock AND Jamey Johnson... Not risking my life! Promoters -wise up- respect the safety and lives of those all of us that are THE reason you have a job! Just sayin.
Angel, agree to a point, it probably isn't entirely up to the performer, there is the venue, the band, the roadies, all the backstage people, etc. they all have to be available, I'm sure his show is a well oiled machine, and that would be an enormous decision to have to make on the fly. However I have real sympathy for people that don't know how to drive in ice and snow. It can be just plain scary. However I don't think he will screw his fans over that could not make it.
*Erin* says (A moment ago)
Hey clayton..where are you headed too maybe we could meet up bing that were both big KR fans and all. I plan on leaving for show tommorrow but could be ready tonight. I just wanna hit the road if u know what I mean ;)
I am so sad and disappointed that I will not be able to go to this concert, I was so excited until I saw the weather forcast! This was suppose to be my Valentine's present, now I get nothing I suppose. Not only am I a 32 year old teacher that was gonna rock it out and go to school the next day, but this was going to be my first rock concert. I still love me some Kid Rock though!
