What still no Vegas dates???!!

Arhhhhhh!!!!! So stoked about a Sammy Hagar/Kid Rock show! Then I realize it's the same day as the Ted Nugent show at the Rib Off here in Toledo! I know it doesn't sound like much of a comparison but this is our one big party of the year where we can all just walk across the street to a concert. Why couldn't it be any other day? =(

I'm with everyone that loves DTE (Pine Knob)- born and raised in Mount Clemens MI... It was always a special treat to see someone play there. Wish you would do something there! The VIP set up was really nice at DTE! Bobby we all love to see you anywhere but don't forget about the 'Clem and Macomb County!

I am so disappointed that there isn't a show booked for Pine Knob (DTE). I agree with Kenny K in Clarkston. I am in Waterford and DTE is so close and was built for music...Comerica was NOT. I refuse to pay the extra money for a Comerica ticket, the cost for parking, the extra money to put in my gas tank at $4.00+/gallon all for a show that doesn't have great sound because of the establishment. I understand he is trying to bring attention to downtown, but don't forget your backyard neighbors Bobby! Comerica is not in my budget and I know many more people that feel the same way as I do. It's sad because until now, I have NEVER missed a show but it seems to be happening more and more because shows keep getting booked downtown instead of Pine Knob.

I've seen "playa's" roll up in hummers, harleys, horses, even a hay wagon. My man rolls up on a paddle board, with the City as the backdrop...pretty damn cool!! "Fiffy-Fiffy" (watch news clip) ratio is about what I'm batting!! (ha).

As far as ideas...(me being from the bayou state) how about something like a Jazz Fest/French Quarter Theme, but with a Detroit twist (never been to Detroit, so not sure what that would look like).....just "thankin" outside the box.

Hey "playa", paddle on!! ha

Diana, go to wxyztv.com, there is about an 18 minute interview w/ him, on Belle Isle.

How do you know that Sammy Hagar is opening? That would be fun, but I haven't even found when the tickets will go on sale or the true dates of the Comerica Park show (although it is speculated to be Aug. 12th & 13th)

KenK401k's picture

Comerica Park? Maybe I am just spoiled from the intimacy at Pine Knob (DTE), but Comerica is a lousy place for a show. If you are in any seat, you are so far from the stage its pathetic. We had 2nd row, lower box last time and it was like we were on another planet. It doesn't work at all. Everyone I know that went last time was disappointed, including me. Ford Field was a little better, but nothing compares to Pine Knob for crowd energy, sound and the homegrown feeling that we deserve from our favorite son.

The only saving grace is that Sammy Hagar is opening, so I guess I'll just have to pony up for VIP, because I am not sitting in the stands again. However, paying $500-$700 doesn't feel that great either.

I'll be there, because I am more than a "fan", but I hope we can get back to Pine Knob and Joe Louis soon! Thanks!!!

I have never been to a concert...I am dying to see Kid Rock on August 12th!

Deborah_32's picture

I brought my son to the concert as I could not find anyone to go with. He only came cause he knew how much I wanted to see Kid Rock. Well,, not to mention what a hell of a show but my son was clapping dancing having the time of his life. He told me he never expected a show like that. So there you go one more fan to your list Bobby. Once again thank you so much for spending time in Montreal and I do hope you got to see some of our beautiful city. We will welcome you back anytime..Merci and god bless...

This is more like a wish really but I would love to see kid do a one off special show in Detroit that played a bunch of his old back catalogue. All the rare songs that long time fans know off albums like polyfuzed and emsp. I know from talking to guys on the cruise that some fans would love to hear songs from that time. I know he can't always tour playing these songs but would be a great one off. I love the old songs mixed in on this tour please keep that going!

This is an important message for Mr. Kid Rock, I do not know if you will remember me, but my name is Shannon Durant, I am like and adopted daughter of Misty Love that sang with you on Devil Without a Cause a few other earlier projects, the last time I saw you, you were not famous yet, you and I rode to Mt. Clemens together on a beer run because all of the stores were closed,we had so much fun you ended up spending the night on the couch at Misty's (it was her birthday) any how so much for old times. Congrats on all your success, and I spoke up for you about the black people thing, I know you are not predjudice the way you would come and rap at Bomax being the only white guy rapping, well look at you now it really worked out, We just need some help with an upcoming event Misty is putting together called the Detroit Black Music Award Show that will be held at Bert's Warehouse Theater here in Detroit on August 7, 2011. I know you gave a lot of money when you were here for the NAACP awards so I know you have a willingness to help your community. You know how Detroit is hurting economically and we could really use a hand to help make this event a success, can you come and surprise Misty or be a sponsor or maybe send someone to promote your Stag beer. Whatever you could do to assist us in any way would be great and it will let people know you haven't forgotten where you came from, I always thought you were cool and I still do, so I am really hoping to hear some postive news from you, I know you are really busy so even if it is only a representative we will be so appreciative of your contribution.
Thank you
Thank you,

True story.....about a month or so ago, I was rolling through the DFW airport. Having just left a "business meeting" and with a few hours to spare before my flight, I hunkered down at the waterin hole (wow...that's old school talk there...ha), peeled that freakin dog collar (tie) off, and started "think/thankin" while I was "drankin". I sat there and watched these assclowns roll through that airport in there own little world....dog collars (ties) on, all "business suit(ed)" up....most on meds trying to deal with the stress, do it for less.....man, what a mess. Then it hit me, I was one of them!! Ok, I know that you are thinking..."where is this knucklehead going with all of this crap"....well, I have been to several of your concerts (Memphis, Little Rock, etc) and have come to appreciate the very message that you deliver. It's honest, it's from the heart, it's who you (and alot of the assclowns that I was describing earlier) are, and, what I call "real". Now, back to the story....here is the funny part. After nailing down about 10 of those pilsners (I call them pissers....cause they make you "go"), I logged onto your website (via blackberry) and started typing this long "vision" of what I saw that day in the airport (the assclowns, the dog collars, people being someone that they really aren't...you know, "following the social rules"). After about 3-4 more of those "pissers", I smiled and hit the "send" button. I waited....waited...waited....then got back some freakin messege about "communication error, your session has timed out". For one second I thought...man, that was a freakin waste of 1) time and 2) good brain power (ha)....then I snapped into reality and figured I better roll. 15 pissers later and one ugly flight attendant, I was (passed) out....cold. (ok, I am running out of "characters" here...) A few days later I thought about me sitting there, typing all of that, thinking so hard....I just laughed. It's been on my mind ever since. Take care!

Kid Rock, you were phenomenal tonight at Scotia Bank Place in Ottawa. The stage was wonderful how it showcased and allowed us to see all the musicians. Your energy was incredible. Your lighting show alone was worth the price of the ticket and the pyrotechnics just went over the top.

Thanks you so much for coming to my home town and I am sorry you turned fucking forty - HA!

I just went to Kid Rock's show on May 28 in London, Ontario. I loved him before seeing him but WOW does he ever rock your world! I felt like a little 14 year old girl seeing the Beatles for the first time and I'm a few years older than Kid! I CANNOT wait to see him again! Without a doubt the best concert I've been to. Love you KID!

Hey there is another imposter on face book I thought it was you and someone told me its not just wanted you to know. He says he is Robert Ritchie

Hey Rock,
What about your upcoming European tour dates? Please consider visiting Poland if you fly over to Europe. I remember your 2008 show in London and it was one of the best concerts I have seen in my life. I know the show-business and stuff but there are people out there who simply love your music for the music, no matter how childish this sounds. Please come over for some shows still in 2011!!!!!

Bob,

I am writing to you for a speciific purpose. I am too from the Detroit area, born & raised & I now live in Nixa Missouri.
I know you have heard about the tornado that hit Joplin a week ago. I went there yesterday with my husband & 17 y/o son to volunteer. I have to tell you, I was very humbled by what I saw. It was like nothing I've evern seen in my life.
There is a group getting together a fund raising concert called "Jammin for Joplin" & trying to spread the word to musicians to raise money to get Joplin back up on their feet. I know the presicdent offered the Country's support, but I think we both know how that song and dance goes.
I am asking as a fellow Detroiter, if perhaps you would consider looking into whether you could perform there. If not maybe get other musicians to sign up. Joplin right now is 20 years behind the rest of us now because of what has happened. They need all the help they can get.

Thank you for your time,

Kim

PS My husband Denny has told me that he went to colllege with your bass player, thought that was cool info to find out.
