Where I grew up, there were no rich people. No bankers, no rightwing titans ranting the poor were lazy and the government was taking all their hard-earned money. Some dads worked for the electric company, others sold insurance or held blue-collar jobs.

So I don't know if you have heard or not but there was a terrible tragedy in Northern Michigan (Buckley/Traverse City) a little over a week ago. A three teenagers were on their way back from Myrtle Beach and were in a horrible car accident. One of those teenagers was killed instantly (the driver) and her best friend and her sister both survived but with extensive injuries. One of those young ladies does not have health insurance and the other has just lost a sister and both have major medical bills and one has funeral costs. Northern Michigan is coming to together for these young ladies and working on a benefit spaghetti dinner and silent auction. Bobby, if you read this, we have some huge fans up here and if there is anything you could donate maybe even autographed northern Michigan would be greatly appreciated. These young girls were/are amazing scholar athletes and devoted 4-H members, assets to their communities. Personally I am a huge fan and know for a fact there are other devoted fans (one just came back from your cruise and some use to got to Boyne when you came) to you here in northern Michigan. QUESTION: I'm a 48 year old female & I've never ever had interest in fan clubs; I just never understood how ppl. allowed themselves to get so emotionally involved in a famous person, artist, entertainer, etc. but I was on my way to KY to see my folks & of course not much on the radio stations cuz they would fade in & out BUT
Start taping and selling the Videos for your shows!! You would make money and make all those who can't GO to a show VERY Happy! Just put them on sale after the tour. You could charge I would buy Born free, Rock and Roll Jesus for sure. I have the CD's. I know other artists do it so it must be a good thing. I would love a video of all Your interviews, shows and especially the Born Free show I watched on TV about your life at home. It was awesome. Just a suggestion, sell them on your website 1st and see how it goes. Then you can go to other stores. You are an awesome performer and no one would be disappointed I am sure.

Ok, I have never done anything like this before...so bare with me.. You are such a real artist to me and I never say that lightly... In the past, I have worked for a Detroit radio station and at a major entertainment venue and met famous people, so it takes a lot for me to say that I admire someone... Kid, I do admire you because you are real and talented. Growing up I used to have friends in bands and I would go and listen to them practice. I love music, all types and would love just sitting there listening to them perform, almost like a fly on the wall. I have been a major concert goer since I was 15 and haven't stopped even while being in a wheelchair now. I loooove my concerts. I had tickets to see your 40th concert @ Ford Field and literally ended up with a medical issue and had surgery on the Wednesday before your concert. If I could have shown up on a damn stretcher, my ass would have been there..he he..but no could do, was still in the hospital. Now I am so psyched, I am going to see you at the London Ontario concert...(So if you see a broad in a wheelchair wearing a MID shirt representing Detroit, that would be me!) Wahooo! Anywhooo....I digress... My whole point of this was to see if you would ever allow fans to sit in on a jam session, studio session, etc. I would think it would be an honor, just to sit and listen/watch you work/jam/record and to see how your mind worked in the whole process of writing, figuring out the music and then the recording. I know I am long winded, but just thought I would put this out there to see if you would ever consider it for fans...Just sayin' :0)

I did not listen to Kid Rock much until the last couple years, so didn't have much to say about him. But a couple weeks ago KR did an interview with Piers Morgan on CNN and after watching and listening to him, I have gained new respect for him, not only as a musician (and a great Michigan one at that), but hearing him, he is not only intelligent, humble, and charitable, he is easy on the eye too. Makes me like him more each time I see him. When I got my wish to see him perform with Seger in Grand Rapids, I knew I had to see him in concert. I have tickets to see him perform this summer.
I know Utah is not on your list of favorite places but you have a lot of amazing fans here and WE NEED SOME LOVE!!!! Hope to see us added to your tour!

i paid 180 dollars to see bon jovi and kid rock last summer and it was first level i think kid rocks prices are great i paid 75 to see kid rock in ottawa and i have 5th row floor cant beat that

IMO i kind of think the VIP BBQ ticket should be a bit less, more like $125-$150. Regular tickets are $75.50 pre fees. I don't set the prices though. So most meals are around $20-$30, swag is probably $20-$50, and drinks i guess that depends on what you are drinking and how much you drink of it. I could see a $150 price tag if you got say an open bar for a few hours time period pre show. Say VIP gets let in a few hours before the show. Most ppl will down a drink or two an hour. But still yet Vinny the fact remains you have a choice, you don't have to buy VIP BBQ tickets. And i honestly don't even know if with KR BBQ ticket prices include unlimited drinks or not included. That info might be nice to know really. Their are regular good tickets too. NO need to hate on KR. It is an offer, plain and simple. You can purchase them or not. NO one is forcing you to. I do think there should be an option to buy those same tickets with or without the BBQ IMO. But i don't run the show either. I got the same choice as you...Again no need to hate on Rock for the VIP BBQ ticket offer. Specially wishing bad health and shit on him. That is just wrong to do. That will come back to you in some way, shape, or form. I strongly believe what you put out there comes back to you...

@ Donna, I tried to defend KR, he has nothing to do with the price of gas, parking fees, scalpers etc. And to wish that hatred on someone else just tells me more about him. Obviously everyone else is to blame for his problems.
Private show in Flint at the Machine Shop should be offered to Congregation Members before any radio stations or tweeters or someone else in the community who isn't a true fan. Just saying...as a congregation member for 4 years I have a hard enough time trying to get regular concert tickets. Just a suggestion......

that diatribe was completely out of control. He offers very fair prices, I don't think it's his fault if you have to resort to a scalper, or where ever you are purchasing his tkts. Pine Knob has the same price for parking for every concert, so pretty sure the venue determines the pricing not the artist. Oh yea he also has nothing to do w/ the price of gas. He is trying to address the scalping issue, but between touring, his new CD, perfecting the cure for the common cold, granting all requests for personal meetings and shout outs, and curing all that is wrong maybe something slipped his mind.
