Well this was my 3rd time seeing you in concert last night in Jacksonville, Florida and I would have to say it was the BEST one yet. I took my whole family, from my 18yr old daughter to my 63yr old mother, who danced her a** off. We all freakin' loved it, don't change a thing!!!

Kid , Have always loved your music- knew the first time i heard you- you were the real deal. I am turning 50 this year and my 25 year old daughter doesn't get it , but i say oh well! just saw your interview with Piers Morgan and am convinced more than ever you are the great guy i always thought you were. keep cranking out the great music and take care.
Sitting here watching your interview with Piers. Never knew you were so down to earth. I love that you care about your roots and your hometown. I'm a little older than you are and have been working on my family's genealogy. Studying the depression era family members and how hard they tried even when the depression knocked the wind out of them. They just kept getting back up and lending a hand to those who didn't have - even when they didn't have themselves. Their backbone reminds me a lot of you. Keep it up. It gives me faith that there are still good people out there that care.

I was awestruck by your patriotism of our great country and our active duty troops and families. As a 30-year retired Navy Master Chief Petty Officer who has 3 children serving in our armed forces, you inspire me with your positive message of support for our nation's heroes. You are to be commended, sir! As an employee of Greater Jax Area USO, 1 of 20 private Independent Chartered USOs in our country, I am blessed to continue serving America's finest. Today I bought a guitar for my 6-year old granddaughter because of you. Thank you for inspiring the hope I have for my precious grandchild for a life full of music! Rock on!!!!

Maybe you could reconsider using the confederate flag. From everything else I know about you, I can't imagine that you intend for it to convey any personal feelings of hate, but I was honestly shocked to see it when I went to your show. It's just my observation, but why send a message subliminal or otherwise that doesn't really represent who you are?
You have done so much for our city and our state. I hate to see controversy cloud the recognition that you deserve.
A Girl from the D
My boyfriend and I came to your show in Evansville In. We had been in the door about 10min when Mike fell to the floor and had a seizure. He is a healthy man, hard working sheet metal worker with the Local 20. He had no history of seizures. The seizure caused him to go into respiratory failure and he was placed on a ventilator. He spiked a fever of 102.7. With no answers for why he was so ill all we could do was pray. God is good and after 3 nights on the vent and unconscious, he woke up. A few hours later he is sitting on the edge of the bed giving the nurses hell.
Mike lost his wife of 20 years to cancer last year. Both of his children have special needs. With all this, you would never meet a kinder happier guy. His family, church and union brothers/sisters could not be prouder of him. The doctors say that the fog he feels will slowly lift and that he will be back to work in a few months. Yesterday was his first full day home from the hospital. When I broke it to him that we missed the concert, it was the first thing he acted pissed about through all this! "Born Free" speaks to so many areas of Mike's life over the last year, the loss of his wife, caring for this kids, finding love again after all the hurt. Thanks for putting into words his hurts and frustrations as well as his joys. Rock on Kid!

Love your tunes, I experience a lot of different feelings when I listen to your music, I am just a little older than you but you seem to be on my page as far as growing up, I find myself relating to most of the lyrics, as I was born in 1964 and grew up in the 70's. It was a blast, what I can remember anyways. A lot of great songs came from that time, it is way cool how you mix them in from time to time, takes me back to my youth and it's good for my soul. Kid, I heard a rumor last night that u may be coming to Cols OH sometime in June to be a Special Guest at the Fallen Hero's Run. in reply to LIZ...you should do your research on Kid Rock maybe before you go see him. He believes that the flag represents Southern Rock and Roll to him..and it means what it means to you...so leave it alone!! When are you people going to realize that the flag don't stand for shit except the old Confederate, and that blacks were sold into slavery by their own people for the trade of goods to the United States, and the civil war was more than about the North not wanting us to have slaves in the South, you should do your research on that to!! And if you don't like what the South stands for than take yourself up North with the liberals. Kid Rock has a right at his shows to allow what ever he wants. For example if you took pictures at concert with flash im sure because Kid doesn't mind b/c on ticket stubs it tells no cameras allowed, so be thankful that he can do what he wants.....thats why its Born Free, because he is Free to fly the Confederate Flag if he wants...Its America.
