Summer event season is in full swing in the Quad City area. And as the events go on, so does severe weather.
Event organizers must plan for any possible weather conditions. Burlington Steamboat Days President and Des Moines County Sheriff, Mike Johnson, said organizers run through exercises with emergency management crews.
"We think of all possible scenarios that could happen at Steamboat Days," he said.

Awesome fuckin show last night in Chicago! Great setlist(best one in years)and spectacular stage show(how cool was that saloon). Loved the mashup of Forever with Rush and havent heard Fists of Rage live in quite some time. Early Mornin Stoned Pimp was the shit! I could go on but just know that the Kid is still one of the best shows around and a helluva guy, you're always welcome in sweet home Chicago!

I just saw KR and the TBTB at the sold out show in Kansas City. Fabulous show. We have seen him 9xs now, including the cruise.
#1 The LED Pimp costume just didnt work. EMSP is one of my favorites and was worth the whole show, but I couldnt make what was written on the back. I'd of rather seen him all "pimped" out w/ some lights from the floor while he played.
#2 Loved the video montage. Especially, LeBron James and Beavis n Butthead. The kid pics.
#3 Play Yodlin' In the Valley. How much was that fine, again? Largest in FCC history? Such a raw song.
#4 I was wondering how KR was going to play his "Born Free" songs and was surprised to hear "Care". Nicely done.
As always the KR Gods shined on us and we had great seats and Kid Rock did not disappoint. He kept his prices low and rocked a full house. And he put on a damn good show!
