hey guys, so im comin over from Australia with a couple friends and we are hiring and RV to drive to these Detroit gigs, in Clarkston, was wondering if anyone knows of any caravan parks around Clarkston that would be good to stay at? and also any tips on what areas we should stay away from to avoid trouble?
I need help from anyone who saw the concert in Wichita 2/1/11. MY name is Tiffini and I was on stage W/Kid......I snapped a pic of he and I, but was so excited I did not save it and lost my picture :(

Matt no one could of said that any better. I totally agree with you on every line you wrote 100%!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We'll I was part of the Wichita Ks. show that was almost canceled. And I'm glad the show went ON!!!! You see I have seen KID ROCK 3 times and each time I see him I'm blown away by how much more VERSATILE he gets!!!!! Ya his music speak's for it's self but when you see him and his band in concert you really gain a respect for him and how hard his band works, And I think for people that had not been to one of his shows really got to see how versatile he is the other night!! I thought it was very cool to see KID working his CRAFT with Jamey's band on his song "COWBOY" thats is something i'll remember. I just wanted to Thank him and his band for workn so hard to make this thing a go. It would have been so easy to call it off but thinks for making me one of your biggest fans and Wichita Ks as important as one of your big venues!!! THANKS AGAIN Much RESPECT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Glad to see they made it safe and sound. I hope they are sleeping now, it had to be a long and exhausting day for them.
I agree Runaway, Ty Stone was great last night. I forgot to mention him last night when I posted about the show. He has really improved since last time I saw him. He rocked it!!
Awesome, awesome awesome, friggen concert lastnite. I really liked that Tye Stone also. They all did a surperb job and it was a very unique concert, but we are talkin @ Kid.
Angel- they never met TBT, I will give you that one!!!! ... Mother nature, Hell, they never met you!
Nice post Jade from someone there. Ditto to be there would have been very unique.
@ JSN I was referring to Whoever said it, Not You.... And I do hope that those who missed the show do to the storm are compensated with tickets to another show or reimbursed.
@ Kimberlina Thanks for the review!!!!!
@ whoever said " You cant fuck with Mother Nature" They Never met The Twisted Brown truckers!!!!!!
I think its amazing that KR, TBT and all the crew and security managed to get to this show and actually perform! I think it sounds like a unique show, I would have liked to have seen it!
this was posted in the News "collide" discussion, from someone who was at the show last night. I am happy to get a perspective of someone who was there:

I hope to hell Kid Rock reads this post. Just got home from the Wichita concert and I am amazed at the show he put on tonight. TBT was late getting there (because of the horrible snow storm) so Jaimie Johnsons band stepped up and played for him for the first part of the show. I am in awe of the talent I saw tonight at the Intrust Bank Arena. Kid Rock has more talent than any other artist out there. He still brought all the talent and swagger we love even though he was out of his comfort zone. Big props to Jamie Johnson and his band as well, they were awsome!!!! My parents saw you for the first time tonight, they are 62 and 64 and they were blown away!!! Thanks for always putting 150% into your shows. Thats why we love you. Cant wait to see you the 25th in KC, Looking forward to a road trip to rock out with you in KC. Love you and thanks for braving the storm to rock Wichita. Be safe please!!!
No, I didn't say this, this was the review posted by someone from the newspaper right when it was over. I know it was unavoidable. I am sitting 8 hours away in 24 inches of snow over 1/2 inch of ice not able to make it. I am glad they made it safely finally as being stranded on the highway in these conditions is dangerous. As I said in my post it was a comment I read and I provided the link. Technically speaking if the concert started at 7 and according to Twitter he went on at 10 after meeting with the other band members for half an hour and the band showed up after an hour that would be four hours. Being that the tickets I purchased are lost since I couldn't be there, I was following the concert to see what was missed. As I said, I hope those who made it to the show enjoyed it.
KRTBT doesnt go on til after 9 usually so u r saying they showed up at 1 in the morning UMMMM i dont think so. They were like an hour and a half late I believe. and totally unavoidable,
I hope those who made it enjoyed the show. I read a comment and I hope others enjoyed it making it out in this weather. "What a sad concert. Kid's band didn't show up until 4 hrs after the scheduled time. The warm-up band played backup for Kid Rock and it wasn't very good. Kid only played for about an hour and then bailed. It was a sad situation. Read more: http://www.kansas.com/2011/02/01/1702027/kid-rock-fans-flock-to-intrust...." I am glad Kid and the band are safe now.
Band made it in after 25 hour bus ride. They are troopers!!!!
Thanks Kid r Angel , whuff I feel better they are safe, now stay inside and button down the hatches, LOL!!
the crew and everyone but the band were already there. all safe.
Okay , man the weather is awful out there, i just did a qk check, bad , prayers going that way. It had got real bad here for a bit, tornado warnings and all, but shoot its like a blizzard out there, i hope the road crew of Kid Rocks peeps are safe also!!
Pray for thier safe arrival somewhere warm and safe... don't really care where just warm and safe!
That just stinks so bad, I sure hope he makes it there for the fans that are there in this disaster blizzard mess.... My boyfriend just helped someone change a darn tire around the Arena... Hope there is news soon.
Not sure how long ago that was though.
I dont know but I just saw Paradime tweet that they were stuck on the express way in OK and were not moving, looked really nasty! Hope they make it to a safe place soon!
Give me a break all of you complainers. My boyfriend left MID MO at 4:30 this AM in COMPLETE ICE, and I know he is crazy, but he did nonetheless to drive to KS for his show tonight. If you can not get there and you live in KS, then that is really unfortunate for all of you. DO NOT BE NASTY and say it is about Money. That is just complete bullS*** YES YOU CAN Make it IF YOU WANT TO... What about someone like my boyfriend that actually DID drive 7 hours to see him, he is there and then he cancels, COME ON.. NOW I am NOT saying that Kid perhaps should not have cancelled this date YESTERDAY, but not at the last minute... TOO many folks are actually there, and I do hope to goodness that everyone is safe, including everyone on here that cares about anyone, Kid and all of his band, and everyone that did drive there to be at his concert tonight. I do know that 1-70 in the entire state of MO is closed, so hope he is there already:) SAFELY of course and at the end of the day, that is each person's call.. Loves, Hugs n Kisses I hope the show ROCKS and I know it will. Love ya, from 20 inches in COLUMBIA MO! Oh yeah.. Let's get to drinking, since there is nothing else we can do around here. :)
well a few year back RHCP canceled due to weather. But that was ice...Snow is totally diffrent ( in more ways than 1, hahaha, had 2 )
geez people. relax. im sure with the situation you will be refunded if you cant make it. it sucks, but it happens. contractual obligations have to be met so they are coming as planned. who knows, maybe he will get there, and say well do tonights show, and reschedule another later for those who couldnt make it out. he's cool like that
either way youll get something back.
Not be about money~ going ahead with a concert during a blizzard that likely only 1/4 of the people with tickets can actually make it to~ what else can it be? If it weren't about money, he would reschedule so the majority of us with tickets can attend! Seriously! He has our ticket money, if the concerts goes ahead tonight, he gets paid~ we get NOTHING! Except maybe disappointment because we can't attend~ and make no mistake, we have been looking forward to going, but not willing to jeopardize our safety by traveling!
a few years ago AC/DC played Tulsa and an Ice Storm hit that day. a lot of us OKC fans didn't make it.
the next day after the show the venue announced that if you still had your tickets and purchased thru first hand source like ticketmaster you could call up and get a refund.
i hope that happens here to.
i will probably make the drive to Kansas City in Late Feb now.
I can't wait! I dont care what the weather is doing out there...if he can make it so can we. Blizzard party!
guys, I know your disappointed. And maybe contacting the ticket outlet to see if you can get a refund. but if KR canceled, there would be a whole bunch of other people pissed at him too. he's in a no-win situation.
and KidRocker, it can't really be about money, can it? I mean, they'd reschedule and get paid for that so I'm not sure how he's making more money on this (or how he'd lose money if he rescheduled)
The only reason this concert isn't cancelled has to be MONEY~ Kid Rock is moved to the bottom of my respect list for choosing money over those who paid hard-earned money to see him yet can't because the roads are closed or unpassable! I am very disappointed!
FOR YOU THAT ARE RISKING YOUR LIFE AS WELL AS OTHERS, I HOPE YOU ENJOY THE CONCERT, BUT ON THE OTHER HAND, I HOPE HE ACKNOWLEDGES US FANS SITTING WITH YOUNG KIDS AND SNOWED IN WHO PAID THE PRICE TO SEE HIM TO, IF YOU LISTEN TO HIS SONG "SLOW MY ROLL" YOU WILL KNOW COMING FROM HIS SOUL 'THOSE YOU LOVE" IS WHERE IT'S AT AND JUST MAYBE HE WILL SLOW HIS ROLL AND GIVE US ANOTHER NIGHT!
